  • Hey, I already have the Nokia N900............can u plz tell me how can u make this video from N900

  • this is baad... it`s like 20 fps... my n97 records better...

  • ipod + iphone camera is better

  • @risingbournemouth So, what's your point?

  • how much megapixel does the nikia n900 have?

  • @qrpkgrl: Hey, I already have the Nokia N900 and I knw its amazing but I also wanted a RIM Blackberry Bold 9700.. Can you help me make a decision between the two.. Should I get the blackberry or stay with my N900.. Thanks

  • @Abiic07 stay with the N900

  • @Abiic07 Reconsider. Seriously you shouldn't buy a phone thats already old and outdated like the n900 or ANYTHING from blackberry.

  • my sony ericsson w995 has a better video quality than this

    but still N900 rules

  • Can you lower the video resolution on this phone, so it could run more smoothly?

  • @tarikay93 yes, there are several choices, including 640x480 (VGA) at a smooth as silk 30 fps.

  • @qrpkgrl Thanks. And can you tell me, what's the highest video resolution available?

  • @tarikay93 what you see here - 848x480. Check out my blog post (link in the description) where you can download the original MP4 file for this video.

  • pretty gash really. low frame rate and can't handle movement well.

  • san frnsisko

  • i recently bought the n900 and i have to say the video quality is much better than this video's...maybe it's the thing that you got a pre-production model or something.

  • That's quite good, i thought 25,24 FPS would be really slow. But this is pretty good.

  • just turn off image stabilizer !!!

  • at filming lg ruls 30 fps and 12o fps

  • doesnt blur out that much

  • Not bad, a bit like my n96 but gone widescreen. You have to consider that this camera phone films at 25fps but youtube converts all video to 30fps so its throwing in an extra 5 fps which will make it look more jerky than the original

  • wow that video looks incredibly good

  • very jerky, she says "check out the frame rate" wdf is she looking out of, her eyes. not even that good of a resolution aswell, can see pixels that u wudent see on a normel 5mp camera. its alreet but not that good

  • you forget that youtube has converted the vid...

  • Made in Finland!

  • wow much better than Droid

  • Yeah but besides that, the phone is complete shit compared to the droid.

  • @josephgrovers wrong way.

droid is shit compared to N900.

Ok now seriosly, NONE of them are shit. they're both good. i think N900 is better, but it's MY opinion.

  • @kamisakea

The thing i dont like about it though is the OS.

  • n97 still much better than n900 concerning the camera

  • very very jerky. Who cares how good the resolution is when it's so bumpy?

  • way better than the motorola droid!

  • How do yo set the flash to work at night? I can't seem to get mine to work. When i record at night the flash doesn't turn on.

  • what a beautiful quality! if i had to go for a powerful phone ever it would be this one not only for the camera of course.

  • Holly Shit Amazing quality i will have these phone on one week i wish you smartphone

  • don't want to brag or anything but my 3GS filming is much better than n900.. I was expecting nokia with a 5mpx camera to have a better frame rate.. but ow well hope you enjoy your nokia..

  • The difference is that my iPhone 3GS (and yours) only records at 640x480 while the N900 records at 848x480...

And the N900 camera walks all over the iPhoen 3GS camera for stills!

But yes. I'm enjoying the N900 that Nokia sent me to review :)

  • very good phone but the video still bumpy like at all nokias....

  • Too much choppy video. The frame rate is not costant. This is the same defect i have with my n82 videos.

  • a little choppy....

  • very clear! nice!

  • which has the best quality sound recording of the sony ericson satio the N900 or the motorola droid and that everyone has the ability to ACC sterio to 48khz?

    please answer me?

  • The video is too jerky. I have a suspicion the N900 may be sampling at around 18FPS and internally duplicating 1-in-4 or 1-in-5 frames to produce a slightly higher output frame rate. Are you able to load the 22FPS file into a video editor (that preserves the original frames and doesn't conform them) and check a second or two of footage frame-by-frame for duplicate frames?

  • I just downloaded your original MP4 file and QuickTime revealed it's just 21.15 FPS. I also downloaded some MP4 samples from N900s sold this week in UK and found their frame rates average just 20.26 FPS. This is therefore an issue as the product is advertised as 24 FPS.

  • It has now been released!! Well yesterday, so what, it is availible now!! :)

  • from what country r u from? :) just wanna check if its near my

  • England

  • kk ;)

  • man that looks like the real life Grand Theft Auto vise city.. esp. the white car ar 38 sec... . damm thats cool

  • lol it's not a n900 fake!!

  • well in my opinion this has better video quality than the droid, do you have any sample video's of the iphone 3gs by the way?

  • the droid seems to have the edge over everything this phones video capture...except the edges LOL

the framerate, exposure look better on the droid

  • Sure! I have some iPhone 3GS sample video on my blog (check my profile for the link)...

Most of my recent unboxings here on YouTube were made with the iPhone 3GS.

  • but terrible audio compared to the droid.

  • i think that not really 24 fps. looks like round about 20

  • It's actually 22 fps on average, according to VLC.

  • FPS is very bad. Maybe an update fix it.

  • yeah, but it looks like ~20 fps. i think the RELEASE firmware will fix this stuttering. 24 fps is thereticly enough. all cinemas in germany has got 24 fps, before Y2K (year 2000).

  • I hope the release firmware improves the framerate, but I also think that 24 fps is not enough for fluid playback (I always hated the flicker in analog movie projection).

  • picture quality seems okay, for a phone...

but the movie runs not really fluid.

  • It's limited to 24 fps at this resolution, and it's running pre-release firmware. Fluid is 30 fps or more.

  • I will definitely buy an Nokia N900.

  • tnkgrl thank you so much for posting this video! does the n900 have any options for bumping down the resolution to up the framerate to 30fps?

  • I think you can set it to 640x480 at 30 fps but let me check and confirm.

  • really not impressive considering it isnt an upgrade. Motorola is doing 30fps with the exact same hardware on the droid.

  • Not true. The Droid is limited to 24 fps at 720x480.

  • Really really can't wait for this phone.

  • Good as long is not fast moving object, if they offer 60fps those lag will get fix.

  • looks sick just to be a proto unit xD

  • Of course it is. But the N97 is also lower res.

    N97: 640x480 at 30 fps

    N900: 848x480 at 25 fps

  • is the fps 24 or 30?

  • 25 fps.

  • I Think The N97 Is Smoother.

  • What are you Smoking!?? lol jk

  • N97 Has The Faster Frame Rate So What Are You Smoking ?

  • It was a joke kid! since your always smoking! lulz. just a joke

  • Ha Ha Ha Ha

  • a little image stability and this thing is godlike for a freaking phone.
