  • That Japanese is a boxer also he can TKO the other guy, because that guy always drop his hands without cover his head.

  • Is that Wing Chun?? It doesn't look like one to me.

  • Ip Man was a myth!!! Just KIDDING. The Skill Level between Sayah and Ip is a Galaxy away

  • @badfoody you talk shit man

  • It is interesting that I see more WC from the karate guy than the WC guy. In the final strikes, the karate guy kept forward intent, moving structural pressure forward at all times, used fook sau to trap the WC guy's left defending arm before delivering a left hook for a KO while moving body structure forward. Just watch the slow mo replay, very interesting.

  • @ironwirewingchun nah he just tried to catch the kick

this guy doesnt know wing chun ive seen his fights

  • stop over analyzing it. its just simple punches and kicks, nothing more. thats the problem with martial arts like WC, they overcomplicate everything and it becomes more of a fantasy than reality...

  • That clip shows the importance of developing powerful strikes and keeping your hands up. If black pants had developed those attributes more, he could have performed better.

  • The guy who got KO'd has no defence skill what so ever , and for those who argue which style it's better or the best , don't blame it on the style , blame it on the practitioner ... some guys train for 3 or 4 years and think they are experts , where Shaolin monks spend their entire life just to master this Art ... it's all about hard train and dedication and learn the applicable proper technique ...

  • @elsultan69

That "don't blame the style" crap is RUBBISH. That karate guy would have had the same fate if they had taken up wing chun earlier on. That fact that so many chunners can't perform says something.. you don't see boxers or kickboxers with that lousy of a defense...

  • @pauljaredsmith could you elaborate more about what you were trying to say ? b/c i noticed RUBBISH only .. and the rest was gibberish ... and again , founders of different styles of MA , were the best because of the proper learning and hard dedicated work ... so once this Art travels around the globe , there will be people who master it and improve it and some other will just ruin it and that's the case of the Aussi guy whom i'm sure was more a street fighter with rules ..

  • @pauljaredsmith Yet Karate was the stuff of jokes in the 90s, when people where amazed by BJJ and believed standing fighting was a thing of the past. Even after that, noone took Karate seriously like, say, Muay Thay. Outside of Japan, Karate very recently recovered the "serious" martial art status.

The main problem is how most Kung Fu schools work, allowing people to have wild fantasies of fighting prowess without working hard enought.

  • @elsultan69 dont be silly. of course the style matters. why do you think muay thai fighters are so prevailant under kickboxing rules? you cant just train any old style for many years and then go into professional fight sports and expect to win. i think you over estimate martial arts as a whole...

  • @ravingdave900 my point was about Wing Chun that the Aussie was trying to imtate and prove in this match ... i'm not saying WC is a bad martial art , what i'm saying is people who don't master an art like it should be and try to go in a MMA or compete against other MA .. bcuz each has different rules of engagement. It's all about the practitioner and how well can he/she apply the techniques to win in survive.

  • @elsultan69 but obviously some MA's are better than others for certain rules eg. kicboxing rules, mma rules etc. there will never be a boxer who will be ufc champ, and there will never be a WC practitioner who will be a kicboxing world champ.

  • @ravingdave900 Wrong. Boxers have proven their effectiveness in MMA. Although it's not the most ideal, preferred or effective style, it still has proven their effectiveness. Go look up Ray Mercer(Boxing champion) vs Tim Sylvia(UFC Heavyweight champion) and Ray Mercer knocking the fuck out of Tim Sylvia. While Boxing is limited and there are more ideal arts out there to learn Boxing has proven its effective. WC has not and never will.

  • @EdDy4RheelZ i dont really care. my point was that every combat sport has an ideal method/style to learn if you wana do well in it.

  • Nobuaki took a lot of hits, joe took a closer look at the canvas ;3

  • These are the rules for WC comp from Master Joes site: sparring - 2 minutes, 2 rounds * MMA gloves and helmet must be worn by competitors, which will be supplied by the Wing Chun Academy * Fighters must have their own mouth guard, and shin guards.* Outside thigh kicks permitted, no inside leg kicks allowed. * Sweeps allowed inside or outside of leg. * Take downs and throws allowed. * No groin kicks, no elbows, no knees. * Kicks to the waist and up. LOL. So brutal. Yeah real street fighting.lol

  • love this....like an annoying fly...being swatted....haha....Wing Chun will never have the power to hurt pro fighters, it works on idiots & unskilled fighters...Joe even attempts a "step in side kick " haha....theres a reason why you dont see shit like that in K1 haha

  • Wow, He got owned so easily.... is he supposed to be a Master ?

But the winner should not show off so much after the fight, he was obviously

fighting an inferior opponent, so what's the fuss about.

Overall, an entertaining, funny fight ! :)

  • To OP: Don't mention the fight outcome in the comments, spoils half the fun.

Otherwise, nice fight , thank you very much .

  • This is one of my favourite videos on youtube. It shows how this so called Wing Chun 'Master' has no idea how to fight. I feel sorry for his students. He does not even know how to throw a hook properly. There is a reason why there is no K1 or MMA champions using Wing Chun because it does not work against people who know how to fight. These guys also never use the chain punches or techniques they actually practice in class. They spend hours on stuff that is useless.

  • @fedortookmyicecream Sorry buddy I practice wing chun and I can assure you it's not useless. Just because a person knows how to compete in a ring or cage does not make them a fighter. In my opinion street fighting and competition fighting are two different things. I have never stepped foot in a ring or cage unless I am sparring with a friend. But I grew up in the streets of Baltimore MD where the real life fights go down and my wing chun has saved me many times.

  • @fedortookmyicecream And not to mentioned don't get confused with K1 and being UFC being real fighting because it's not. Concrete and biting alone makes a big difference. Anything that is considered controlled environment is not a real fight. Now these ring fighters and cage fighters may know what to do in a competition but assure streets are different.

  • guy has such long legs and was doing so much kicking he should've done taekwondo instead, seeing as he never really used his wing chun training at all...

like others have already said, most wing chun dont really practice actual, alive combat. nor do they physically train themselves to be fit and strong like other styles do (which they really should). none of that WC handiwork came into play at all, he just took every hit and dropped

  • with the gloves, WC is not effective.the guy is an amateur in kickboxing.

  • @criceto Wing Chun is for the streets and it is not suited for rules or controlled environment. All the years of practicing wing chun I will never even think about stepping in a place with rules. Wing Chun is not for competition. It is for the street and that is what makes it so funny seeing other wing chun practitioners trying to fight in a sport. When they fight in these competitions they are probably only able to use wing chun at 35% of it's true ability.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Wing chun is shit...thats why it doesnt work in any type of full contact.....

  • @1fitkbox Your shit. and let me guess are you a fat ass who sit on the couch all day. Dude I just said wing chun is not for sport. Wing Chun is for the street. And anything that involves rules is not real fighting. Born and raised in Baltimore MD trust me I know. No I have never competed in a ring or cage because I am a street fighter. Believe me in the street wing chun is shines.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Haha,oh I hate it when they realise im a fat ass sitting on a couch,Dam !!! Wing Chun is shit, anything will work against an unskilled fighter in the street, anything, against a skilled fighter..Wing Chun doesnt work.. in Brazil for decades, no rules fighting was allowed, No WC, early mma & UFCs , almost completley no rules. Wing Chun got flattened lol. ...Everything WC does...other styles do better....Weak chain punches, weak kicks...trapping doesnt work...not much left lol

  • @1fitkbox Well you admit your a fat ass. And when you are in the street dealing with someone who has weapons, everything does not work. I am not going to entertain you and please have a good career being an internet tough guy.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 ooOOOO !!! I bet you couldnt show me a clip of a WC guy...winning against a decent mma or pro muaythai guy....the size of youtube & not 1 clip hahaha.....your not a fighter, we dont want you get hurt, nothing wrong with avoiding conflict but you are best sticking to film where fighters fly throw the air ect....

  • @Arealmartialartist1

Fook sau, pak sau, pak dar, .... are LEGAL in the ring. Almost 90% of the techniques can be used, but it's always the 10% of the "deadly" that would change a loss in the ring to a win in the street? Give me a fucking break. If the overall principles were sound, there would be a LOT more wing chun in boxing, kickboxing, kyokushin, and mma.

  • @pauljaredsmith how do you do said block pak sau etc with 12 ounce gloves on?

  • Comment removed

  • @Arealmartialartist1 lolololololololololololololol

  • I have practiced Wing Chun for many years and even I know Joe Sayah is a bum.I used to do the William Cheung system just like him. However my Sifu was an ex boxer so our training was a wee bit harsher.I switched to the Wong Shun Leung system with a much more effective method.I also have studied Silat and Jiu Jitsu. The key is to be well rounded and realistic.Train and spar hard and realistic.I work in a prison so I cant afford to lose.It means that I die.Plain and simple.

  • Like all WT-Praticioner he never was in a real fight. He does not know how to punch and he does not know how to take a punch.

If you trust in your WT go and do sparring with Boxing or MMA, it will be a new experience.

  • lol wing chun.

    fails reality check again.

  • Looks like a Wing Chun fight - no protection, sissy punches, terrible kicks. The good thing is - he tried and hopefully learned from it.

  • i thought joe sayah would win

  • rotti5, dude you are 100% correct, this markus dude is the same alias jetpakk, they are this joe dudes disciples have been fed bulshit and more bulshit lol!!

  • 1fitkbox, dude I studied wc , agree no good in the ring, changed to CLF and jujitsu more confidance now. wc is too much show no good in the real world. This joe dude I remember him at dandy gym always trying to brown nose GM he was good at fighting the defenceless and drunks, he had an issue with many students breaking arms and busting their knees no good for the art lol!!!

  • Markus If you believe Joes stories of all these street fights you are easily misslead.

  • 1fitkbox, totally agree with you, wc practitioner trying to get a name instead got his brains shaken, absolutely insane, an amateur trying to get into a professonal fighters ring. Well it surely back fired, can see a number of his cronies on these pod casts sucking up to him.

  • @2310ko yeah, I supose at least Joe had a go at full contact & practised what he preached, on youtube are endless WC guys saying how theyd beat UFC fighters quickly , blind leading the blind lol

  • Cant believe Joe actually attempts a "jump in side kick" fk me, even novices know not to attempt telegraphic beginners kicks like that in Kickboxing. Your worth more than that Joe !!!!

  • you been watching too many Vampire films,,,,,, straight for the throat !!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA !!! the old "straight for the throat trick hahaha ! doesnt sound like youve ever sparred hard in your life. On national geographics crash test dummys were tested for hitting power of Kungfu straight punches, they were by far the weakest in all tested. A Thia knee was off the ricta scale. Shame really because what you say is sence about WC straight line attack, but then you show your lack of knowledge with "throat attack" bless ya.

  • Big problem with wing chun and MMA is that wing chun is a straight line form. The strikes will always come in a straight line which is weak against a circular style such as western boxing style. Another down fall is all the damn rules MMA puts in the ring. In real life WC fighter would go straight for the throat and end it right there. Cant do that in a ring. Also WC lacks the KO power of the boxing style. I love WC and practice it but it has its flaws and I am excepting of them.

  • Yeah, so true, he is a great martial artist, but not in anyway on the level of K1 fighters, do you not think every one of them who are almost all doormen , debt collectors before they move into big K1 money fights, all of them have had hundreds of street fights, I trained & held pads for K1 fighters, they hit on a level you wouldnt think was humanly possible, only a person whos never trained or fought any1 of that level would think a Wing chun guy would beat them lol. Max respect to Joe for tryn

  • you guys have no idea. Master joe Sayah is one of the most dangerous street fighters I know. Anyone that has met him and knows him would say the same. He has had so many street fights, most of the time against more than one opponent, that ive lost count. Hundreds of fights over the last 20yrs. Oh, also, as far as I know, ive never heard of him EVER losing a fight, except in the ring where he is limited by rules and gloves. You must take that into account.

  • @markus2377

the keyword here is street fighters

most professional fighters/martial artists could beat the majority of street fighters

the real test is to put them against some who is also of similar level

  • I trained with Kakuda, he is awsome, he came our gym in 1994 in Australia, next day did a breaking demonstration were he smashed 4 baseball bats with his shin that were strapped together.. Hes been beat by good K1 fighters but at least this Wing chun day had a go, he never had a hope in hell using WC against a full contact fighter, WC plays at fighting, its no use in real full contact.

  • i didn't see any wing chun tecnique...

  • @EkaterinaTheWise if you know wing chun you can see it. His footwork especially and how he closes the gap and angles of attack (or attempts at). He attacked immediately. What do people expect to see in the ring?? Open hand techniques with gloves on? Did you think he would a bong sau lap sau and centreline punches? With boxing gloves? I

  • no preperation, sure got guts, but big mistake, sure, no master will fight like that, a boody disgrace to the wc system. Listen to the interview after the fight Kakuda says he was no match just another show, it was a walk in the park.

mrsinantra, sure he has no experience in ring fighting let alone out of it, master in what?

  • Although apparently still arrogant and a smart ass, you gotta give him credit that he actually went in, but he is not a master of Wing Chun with that performance, he looked like a beginner with that performance.
