That was without a doubt, one of the best commercial aviation videos I've ever watched. Its a treasure trove of information from the very individual who knew these aircraft so well. I feel honored to have been able to sit in, so to speak. Thanks.
I was taught that the NG.s can not taxi "backward" from gate, this vid depics that "Origionals can", still would hate to think of the hazards in doing so..with modern day 73's.
Yeh, to see if the plane could go to V1 speed (the point of no return) on the runway. If it can do that and an engine fails after that speed, it can still fly
Thank you so much for this!

@VieneSuSu you only wish you were 1/10 as capable at your job as the "fat guy" was at his when he helped design that plane.

Very funny, actually 'Jocko' was a former US Navy F-18 carrier pilot who had some pretty good stories from memory.

Absolutely fascinating. Even as an aviation fan, it's still humbling to see so many dials and switches.
I'm guessing that 737 still has its original engines? That would account for the lovely sounds : )

I would love to see the last flight as well if there is footage?

Is this aircraft still airworthy now? Any chance of it ever returning to the air?
I'd be interested to see footage of its last flight too.

I dare say, I had flown a traffic curcuit with that 737.
