@Archimonde259 it sends underage girls to their deaths, it has one of the most annoying voices in all of anime, the thing has tried to kill me on several occasions, it eats its own dead body, it probably was the cause of the witches and is with holding that information, and hell it is one of the creepiest things i have seen, and also its the devil so it be EVIL!!!!!!

Except if it weren't for the witches the universe would go boom, you're aware of that, right? Kyubey is not the Devil, he has not tried to kill anyone, and while hes he is doing evil it's nothing that can't be called a necessary evil.

The Incubators want to prevent the heat death of the universe. To do so the only way (as far as we know) is to turn the emotional energy of girls into mana. And since the Incubators have no emotions, they are physically impossible of seeing a moral problem with that anyways.

And the theme of the story is the difference between selfless and selfish wishes, and the price we have to pay to have them realize.
