Most actors, producers, directors and Music Directors preferred Rafi's voice, the competitors were having problem. Only Raj Kapoor would use Mukesh. When Manoj came, he too was playbacked by Rafi. Later, he switched to Mukesh for low octave songs and Mahendra Kapoor for high octave songs. Then came Feroze Khan who also used Mukesh most the times. I think, they were all fine singers in their own ways.
