alot of people dont understand the difference between dj'ing, which is a bona fide art and science, and live sets, dance music production and the whole electronica movement, many performers of which use rigs very similar to dj equipment, and many times includes a CDj or 2, but are actually making the music in a live production rig setting, instead of just DJing loops or songs togethr in a mix.

Tiesto rose to fame because of his "DJ" skills. I agree with you, there's no way in hell he can dj at the level of those guys. I'm just saying Tiesto got lots of help producing, and that's why it's so good. I'm a fan of his music, but he's more of a pop star now rather than a dj/producer.

The thing you have to realize about the "big boys", the trance anthem dj's is they're famous not for their turntablism skills so much as their ability to program a set, read a crowd and consistently perform.

people misconstrue dj/producers for being great djs. Tiesto is an amazing producer and won a grammy for songs he wrote and produced. He didnt win a grammy for dj skills. Dj Craze, Dj Qbert. Now they are know for being djs. When someone goes to a Tiesto gig they want to hear the unreleased bad ass music that he produced. They arent going to see him cut it up on the tables. Fact is he probably cant even scratch but a reknowned producer.

Loop point? Sounds more like a basic jump to me. There's one at 1:39 and 2.37 too. I didn't see any planned freakout at 1:14.
