It's cold in the desert at night, and hot in the day, yet these heroes endure it - not to mention the dangers of war - to secure our freedom. When they come home, welcome them back. While they're there, there are ways to help. Regardless, they're an amazing group of Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. Thanks for posting this video.

A good video. 28 years in. Sometimes I go to the cemetary and wonder why those guys died and I'm still alive. It was good - I took food and medicine and shelter to the sick and needy and helpless on five continents, and killed more than a few folks in need of killing. "To Liberate the Opressed" - a good motto to live for. Two divorces and just not much good at civilian life - but I wouldn't change a thing about my military career, just my personal life.
I like this, i might not be home for christmas cuss i have 3 tumors on my spine that will be taken out in about 2 weeks and dont eva know if its cancer or if the surgery will kill me, i miss my wife and 2 kids just wishing i could be home and that im not the only one that wants to be home for christmas. god bless the trops and god bless every one.

I might be a 20 y/o guy who is rough and tough but this poem brings me to tears all the time. My cousin was a USMC Capt and a NY state trooper. He gave his life in 2006, in Fallujah. Seems we have a military tradition - nearby all of us, including me, served their countries and have been deployed. Two of us are still out in the field and my thoughts and my heart is with them. because of these brave men and women, our homes and our country is safe for one more day. they chose this life, knowing the sacrifice, spending less time with loved ones, and not have the risk of dying. Missing their birthdays and holdays each time they are deployed. I truley honor these men and women who sacrifice so much, while my father among them too. missing our christmas together and his birthday for inclding this 3rd year. thank you service men and women, you are another childs Hero!

I might be a 20 y/o guy who is rough and tough but this poem brings me to tears all the time. My cousin was a USMC Capt and a NY state trooper. He gave his life in 2006, in Fallujah. I am greatfull for everything he and the rest of our men have done. RIP Johny, you will never be forgotten. Merry Christmas to all and I wish everyone a safe 2011

May God Almighty bless our troops this Christmas season and throughout the year! And to 55dlew stay on your knees before God. That's what got me through and my son came home safe and in one piece! It was awesome how God would "prompt" me to pray for him only to find out much later those were the times he was in the most danger. I know how you are feeling.

This will be the first Christmas that I will be here in the States since 1998, so it will be very special for me. But I will say this, I wouldn't have changed a thing because everytime I am home I see the great people of this country for whom I serve, and many of you make it all worth the things that we do.

We came home from Nam and was ridiculed, spit on. Our own people made us feel ashamed of what horrible experiences we had been through. Ty I am crying now. My daughter is stationed in California. Her fiance and 2 best friends are in Afganistan right now. I pray for there safety each night. I will not be seeing my daughter this year for Christmas. Away in another country or home here in the states. We miss them and worry about them each and every day. TY!!! OORAHHHH!!!
