@DjOxymoron Yes, that is the point of overtone or "throat singing". Your voice naturally makes these tones but you have to shape your throat and nasal cavities to harness these tones, called harmonics. I have heard some that have 3 or 4 tones all together... It's very interesting. A good throat singer makes it sound like someone whistling while the drone note is sung.

more and more women are throat singing now ...... it is an old taboo..... supposedly women who throat sing are not able to bear children according to the superstition .... but in recent years when women started doing it in tuva they realized the taboo was untrue..... it has become acceptable now..... many musicians all over the world use tuvan throat singing without even realizing it ..... like many metal singers..... they use a gutoral growl or pig squeal that is the same concept.
