  • amazing.. thanks you for that.

  • Very beautiful. You don't have to have experience in Mongolian Throat singing to appreciate that. I'm a classically trained vocalist from the US and I love the sound of Throat Singing. It's amazing what the voice can do, whether it's healthy or not.

  • Swallowed a bagpipe?

Very interesting what the human vocal cords can do with training

  • I think of the Mongolian/Siberian throat singers

  • @justrixx Might just be because, if you look carefully, the title describes the video as Khoomii. which is present in Mongolia, Tuva and Altai cultures. Ref. to wikipedia article about Overtone Singing.

  • Ok for those of you who do not know what you're listening for/to- You'll hear her regular vocal tone, but if you listen closely you will hear a very high whistle like tone to the tune of

"Amazing Grace". It's very hard to do.

  • Is there someone laying on the couch in the background?

  • she has LUNGS

  • @GorgonDrageil srosly

  • 善哉!!!

  • Good control. That's a very hard thing to do for a white man,lol I can only get a couple of whistles here and there.

  • @godin007 Actually, I suspect it might be hard for anyone to do, since it's featured prominently in male singers.

  • I tried and I totally bursted out laughing :P

  • Holy wow that was excellent

  • That's AMAZING!!!

  • people, please stop answering my question day by day, i know it by now...

  • @DjOxymoron C'mon bro, it's Mondolian traditional throat singing.

  • @phubans LOOOOOOL

  • HOW THE FUK WAS THAT AMAZING GRACE

  • she's still young, if she continues to pratice and refine her technique, she'll be able to sing without you really hearing the lower tones.

  • ...i can hear it distinctly. that's a surreal sound :)

  • WOW!

  • I want to do this.

    ERRRRRRRRRRRRRREREERRRRRRRRR.

  • Throat singing would be way cooler if you couldn't hear the lower tones. It's a little bit annoying to listen to as it is.

    It's cool anyway though.

  • id tap that

  • @koRnfreak1218 I don't.

  • @koRnfreak1218 you will never know how happy that makes the rest of us

  • Amazing! You have amazing voice control with a powerful voice, and a bad-ass scar to go with it! XD <3

  • @TheReaverOfDarkness That's some hair, not a scar.

  • @megadeathx I thought so too at first, but I looked closely and it doesn't seem to be hair.

  • @Zeanu lol!

its not really american. its a christian thing.

  • @Zeanu Amazing grace isn't patriotic at all lol.

  • what a freak

  • Tuvan throat singing. Those over tones are generated in octaves over her own it is like singing with two or more voices.

  • errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • BALLER

  • it sounded like you took a shit on the paper with amazing grace on it

  • does she have 2 massive scars on her right eye?

  • @xSpacey omg yeah i think so i didn't see that till i saw this. holy shit those are big ass scars

  • @xSpacey Idiot, that's her hair.

  • @xSpacey Nah, it's just her hair :P

  • k thx, interesting!

  • WOW, all that sound coming from such asmall girl. Well done!!!

  • Why is this turning me on?

  • is it normal that i hear high tones, too? how does she do that?

  • @DjOxymoron Yes, that is the point of overtone or "throat singing". Your voice naturally makes these tones but you have to shape your throat and nasal cavities to harness these tones, called harmonics. I have heard some that have 3 or 4 tones all together... It's very interesting. A good throat singer makes it sound like someone whistling while the drone note is sung.

  • @DjOxymoron Yup. They're called overtones. Look up partials and overtones. The really generalized explanation is that the frequencies of the established notes cause the perceived higher notes to kick in.

  • @DjOxymoron That's the song. The high pitched sound is playing out Amazing Grace. It's the harmonic produced by the throat singing.

  • @DjOxymoron Yes, that's what is so cool about it. It is actually called Overtone Singing and is done by manipulating the tongue to make the Harmonic sound you hear.

  • @DjOxymoron mouth movement

  • @DjOxymoron Throat singing allows you to do more than one pitch at once :) That's part of what makes it so cool!

  • @DjOxymoron That's exactly what overtone singing is. That high pitch is overtone singing. c:

  • @DjOxymoron It's singing overtones you vibrate your vocal chords jst enough to create a resonance in the back of your throat that causes both high and low notes to be done at the same time. Most singers would say that singing from the throat is horrible but there is ana ctual technique to this and it involves some amount of practice.

    Great video :)

  • @kysmight82 its actually not singing in the traditional sense from the throat as it is vibrating your vocal chords. With that technique there is no strain on the throat, it is almost like vibrato but concentrated in the back of the throat.

  • @Imisstheoilers ...I just said that "vibrate your vocal chords just enough to create a resonance in the back of your throat that causes both high and low notes"

I know how it is done as well, because I also do it myself...

  • @DjOxymoron the high tones is what overtone (throat) singing is. Ideally the hurrr (normal tone) should be quieter.

  • @bigbenboa Depends on what you are going for. If you are trying to show the contrast I think it was very well. If you are just trying to let out the overtones, then yes it was too loud.

  • Respond to this video... She is very talented and pretty.

  • @DjOxymoron it's normal to hear them. throat singing encompasses many types of what is known as overtone singing. Inuits do it, people of South America do it, Siberia does it, Japan does it, Mongolia does it, and according to UNESCO-it's China's thing (which is actually BS)

  • @Bayplaces Monks in Tibet do it, A Tribe in northern Skandinavia does it ("joik") and even people in the middle of europe do it ("yodl"). I think the women of an afrikan tribe do it too. Throat singing and overtone singing must be one of the most natural kinds of music :D

  • @Vodkametalhead I've just heard that some joik feature overtone singing, but joik exists in the whole sami culture, and the sami people would rather be a tribal people than just one tribe. They're quite an extensive ethnic group. :P

  • @DjOxymoron Yeah that's sort of the point lol. Look up harmonic overtone singing, it's pretty awesome :)

  • @DjOxymoron it's throat singing, they sing two notes at once.

  • @DjOxymoron yes...that's what she's doing...it's called an overtone, if you listen carefully to the high notes...you can hear amazing grace!

  • @DjOxymoron little asians can everything

  • @DjOxymoron Resonance.

  • @DjOxymoron No, you have cancer in the ears. lol, yes, its normal.

  • @DjOxymoron the high tones is the song. thats what u should listen to^^

  • @DjOxymoron it is called Homi the mogolian traditional throat singing.

it needs a lot of practice.

  • @DjOxymoron That's the whole point. Look up throat singing. :)

  • Teach me little girl!

  • Wow what a messy room. :O

  • You are BEAUTIFUL...thanks for sharing...

  • more and more women are throat singing now ...... it is an old taboo..... supposedly women who throat sing are not able to bear children according to the superstition .... but in recent years when women started doing it in tuva they realized the taboo was untrue..... it has become acceptable now..... many musicians all over the world use tuvan throat singing without even realizing it ..... like many metal singers..... they use a gutoral growl or pig squeal that is the same concept.

  • @thoughtcorrosion Exactly! It's very rare to see someone who notices that. I actually have a few metal vocal tutorial videos up, and one of them specifically deals with Throat Singing and how it applies to metal.

  • i am at peace. bless and i thank you.

  • Woah! Where did you learn that, You're really good, I'm impressed good job! You just don't look like the girl who can do that kind of thing, that's the funny part in it. It's great!
