  • That was emotion. Amazing job!

  • that was really good

  • I was never a fan of rap until i heard Myke and I really thank Tony because he put urban method together.

  • myke charles denver stand up

  • They should have won because they have a rapper but no..., they had to choose pentatonix and dartmouth aires! gr...

  • I really don't think she was that good...

  • They fell off the bridge :/ It's started off okay, but it just fell apart. Backup vocals were terrible, they weren't supportive enough. The beat was completely lagging as well.

  • It was awesome but I heard a little too much breathing.

  • @Kakuzu3451 ,.......thats ment to be there..... its part of the beat box....

  • Am I the only one that is not impressed by a guy screaming at the top of his lungs into a mic and calling it rapping...? This guy is pretty derivative, and he's so cocky to boot.

  • @citizenchan Oh thank god I am not the only one who thought this...

  • Mike carries the team

  • The rapper in the group I think runs out of breath to easily.. Even I can rap better than him.

  • Emotion. That's what Rihanna and Eminem were missing. They got this. It almost made me cry.

  • I love urban method!

  • @ohsnapitskimmi ME TO

  • I'm not a fan of rap, but the rapper in this group carried them to as far as they got. He's good

  • I heard Eminem did a cover of this..

  • no one is ever gonna be as legendary as eminem guys, and youz all know that

  • god damn katie in the beginning of the season she sucked ass and once the judges praised her for belting a high note on that one episode, she started belting high notes every 30 seconds. it starts to get annoying and not as impressive

  • katie isnt a bad singer. her voice just doesnt suit Urban Methods style. she would be better with a more classical style.

  • Katie is a horrible singer. How did Urban Method get as far as they did?

  • better than original

  • Katie and the rapper dude are the best out of the whole group throughout the whole show.

  • @clynne85 myke is a dope rapper but they are not the best especially not katie

  • They should have won.

  • Myke is ten times better when he writes his own lyrics...

FRESH BREATH COMMITTEE. Check them, Myke the rapper is a member.

  • Myke is ten times better when he writes his own lyrics...

  • @savingedmund think it has alot to do with the keys they sing songs in.... I dont even blame katie tho she does sing most songs like country music, the backgrounds sound disgusting to me in this song...

  • all hail MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The girl sucks. Can't get with it.

  • 4:52 BEAST

  • All three judges standing! First one of this season. All these people thinking Pentatonix's tenth performance was the first one.

  • That was amazing!

  • My first time watching this performance and this is amazing. I agree with the person that said you can tell he really wants it.

  • one of the best arrangements of the year

  • I don't like Katie's voice - she's flat a lot of the time she sings. I like the group, though, and she definitely does have talent.

  • Can't believe she's only 19! What talent!

  • The give and take between the female lead and the male lead are amazing i would have thought they made this song up.

  • If you've only listened to this once, listen again. I initially wasn't that impressed for some reason, but watching it again I'm amazed. The rapper is so much better than I originally thought. Such a nice flow and great passion. Loved this!

  • The rapper brings flavor to the Urban Method group. He makes them stand out. My favorite group on the Sing-Off this season: Urban Method. Hope they win it all.

  • The rapper doesn't even near Eminem. There is no second to him. They took a big risk coering him, but I dont think it really paid off. The rap wasn't good enough

  • AMAZING them and Deliliah are gonna make it all the way!!!

  • that group is good frome tamia

  • If I had to pick a Top 3 or 5 (as of 10/31/11), it would be:

    1. Pentatonix

    2. Urban Method

    3. Dartmouth Aires

    .................................

    4. Vocal Point

    5. Yellow Jackets*^*

*^* stands for eliminated from The Sing-Off

  • Pentatonix is overrated. Urban method is the best by far.

  • i love that rappers smooth rythym, he knows how to rap. He is going to be big one of these days.

  • 1:36 to skip to the song...

  • first time you hear a rapper on an accapella performance? watch On the rocks on the Sing Off. They had a rap song as well

  • Man, you can see the fire in his eyes, he ain't just performing, he's straight HUNGRY for this.

  • @SuperSpitt81 I agree I didn't know they were from Denver until I watched tonight and he is right about no big rappers from Denver. I know he will be big he has got what it takes.

  • Rapper is SICK, and has great back up.

  • Tie between them and Deliah

  • Wow my people from Denver are AMAZING!!!!!! :) Love it!!

  • this is my top 5 but I really want to stress there are alot of great amazing groups.

    1.Pentatnonix

2.Afro Bkue :so close to call

3.Urban Method: big distance btw top 2 and 4 are close really close for me

    4.Vocal Point

    5. Dartmouth Aires

But All these groups are great I mean 10 times better than American Idol.

  • You can surely compare it to the original with Em and Rihanna, but you can't completely judge it on that.

Urban Method did an amazing job on the song. Mike is a beast, but I also thought Katie was weak at first, but really she did her thing as well.

UM will be the last group standing, though I have tons of respect for Pentatonix

  • The background vocals and the emcee were great. I agree w/ Shawn that it sounded like a legit track. However, the lead singer didn't do well, IMO, and they started to mess up the timing during the climax of the song. I recognize that, with their demanding style, timing is hard, but I think that's a problem they should focus on correcting. I heard it in this week's performance of "Poison" as well.

  • i like the song. i like the rapper. im not too thrilled with her voice tho.

  • I think the rapper wasn't excited enough, not enough "voice" in their voice ya know. I just wanna hear some of his originals its easy to rap its just repeating what someone else says, its creating a lyrical flow from scratch that takes talent

    ..

  • The rapper has some swagggg lol :D

  • @411ONher Mykal

  • The lead female's voice isn't weak... just weak sauce.

  • Beast xD

  • The rapper looks like the situation..

  • I was hatin before the video started, but that was fresh

  • the "choreography" if you could call it that looked so AWKWARD lol the rapping was kinda cool though, especially when they combined the two...

  • wuts dhat rappers name hes cute.XD

  • they re gonna win

  • HOLY SHIT..................... O_O

  • they shouldn't sing while he raps

  • The first time I heard this, I thought Katie sounded a little weak. After hearing it a few more times, I've come to realize that she sang her parts with the same infliction and power as Rihanna, but Katie doesn't have the advantage of studio vocal processing on the Sing Off, and that's why she sounded weaker. Sometimes when you listen to the Sing Off, its like not eating anything with sugar for a week, and then noticing how sweet fruit suddenly tastes to you...you have to abandon the processing

  • @gypsyjazzbo I agree. I thought she was weak at first, or at least not singing as powerfully as Rihanna did in the original. Then, after listening to it a million more times, I realized this this IS live and they didn't have access to track editing like studio recorded songs have.

  • @gypsyjazzbo no she just can't sing but i really like this group so thats the worse i'm going to say

  • Lol, my high school a cappella group recorded in the studio at the beginning.

  • the main guys is cute!

  • wow that is beautiful if some one how now how to sing like this i give you a 10

  • These guys should do Otherside by Macklemore X Ryan Lewis. People that don't know that song need to listen to it. One of the greatest rap songs to date.

  • I love the sound and the blond woman is gorgeous!

  • I Wish they would do an acapella version of my new Inspirational Song Called Anywhere....If u came here to listen 2 gud Music, then Please Come threw to my page after this one to Discover sum more Good Music

Only Child aka E-Styles - Positive Hip/Hop and R&B Music

2011 and 4Eva (Pretty Boi Productions)

  • last year their was a rapping part in Live Your Life by On the Rocks.. it wasn't that much of a surprise...

  • Song starts at 1:40 ! Thumbs up so everyone sees :)

  • his amazing at rappin i love for that

  • I appreciate their innovation

  • How strange...I didn't think I'd ever hear a rapping acapella group..that is just weird!

  • "Hopefully Eminem is watching"??? To watch someone do a mediocre job of his song? I think the rest of the group needed more credit for the job on this one. I didn't think Mike polished, and thought he wasn't powerful enough for this song. Listen to the original and you'll probably agree - the male lead needed more.

Definitely not the worst of the night though, and they should do okay throughout, I thought a couple weak groups made it past cut #1

  • The rap was actually very good.

The backup and the lead woman were pretty bad, though. :/

  • the rapping was amazing!!! great group

  • the rapping was amazing!!! great group

  • Awesome, I just hope they don't ALWAYS do rap songs. Not because I don't think it would be awesome, but so they show more range.

  • I really think rap an a capella go hand in hand with each other

  • Awesome job! got to give this group props

  • I loved the rap, but not the girl's voice

  • @appletreesubs your right just didnt wanna say anything lol

  • Im not a fan in general of rap or hip hop and this blew me away. They are definate front runners imo!

  • Nicely done. Not generally a fan of rap (we all have our opinions and types of music we generally like) but great music is great music regardless of it's genre. These guys are brilliant and talented. Nice change in the end with the "head to head" vocals. Keep it up guys.

  • This is my favorite group :)

  • 1:40 is the start of the song for those of u who want to skip

  • It's " Love the Way You Lie" NOT "Love the Way You Are" :P

  • Than u missed season 1 check out the beezlebubs version of where is the love which was on the finale and right round love both songs u got to check out the video for right round hilourous they were my favorite group of all time well them and on the rocks this group i liked because they rapped which is rare and they mixed it together during the second verse so it was something new to the show i don t like rap much mysedlf but i can stand it and if it clean ill listen to it

  • There are some real cuties in this group, and I guess they're good at their thing. Alas, I'm not a big fan of rap. I know.....gimme a break...I'm old..er. ha

  • i thought the song was called "love the way you lie" not "love the way you are"?

  • @fluffybaby98 mix "just the way you are" and " love the way you lie" :D

  • @Kustoming79 i see i see... thank you ;]

  • I just the girl that sang the Rihanna part had as strong as vocal as he did.

  • Comment removed

  • @UrbanMethodVideo Very impressive on such a short notice. I really look forward to listening to your group progress, because I think you'll definitely get the chance! Best of luck.

  • Commited last season was so much better

  • The first four were much better than the last four

  • They were good, but too much rap. They need a song where rap compliments the song. It's the sing off, not the rap off. Cat's Pajamas were better.

  • not sayin they're not good, they're decent, but there are plenty of groups that are better than them that shouldve made the show

  • they're decent but they're not gonna win

  • These folks are going to polarize the viewers--either someone is going to hate rap or they will accept it, and there won't be any middle ground. They may have the novelty to go deep in the competition, but unless Myke can sing, I don't think they'll be able to demonstrate the versatility to make the finals.

  • @wbradley1372 The rapper is quite good. I dislike the group because they are horribly out of tune. Clearly the least vocally capable of any of the six left of the eight that performed that night, and also less capable than Cat's Pajamas, who left when Urban Method should have.

  • Me and my friend were cracking up at the stalker feel at the opening. You don't hear acapella rap live this. These guys hit it out of the park. The vocals were a little on the weak side as the cords were often hidden, but I loved the change of pace.

  • Okay, don't get me wrong I think they're one of the top groups, but the fact that Ben Folds gave these guys a standing ovation and not Vocal Point is totally wrong.

  • I'm so proud of Tony, he taught some people at my high school how to work sound equipment. I hope he goes all the way haha :)

  • plus you suck bad

  • only one doing it in colorado? BAD CALL. REALLY BAD CALL. hahahahaha

  • the girl looked like she doesnt know what shes doin. her voice aint good with the song too.

  • top 5 groups:

    1. Vocal Point

    2. Delilah

    3. Urban Method

    4. Yellow Jackets

    5. Aferoblue.

  • @xxsamplextextxx yellow jackets were the best...... delilah had horrible vocals

  • @dakidd474 Delilah had fantastic vocals and harmonies. Whereas Yellow Jackets where good, but their song was not executed as well as the other three groups ahead of them. I put Vocal point ahead of delilah for two reasons, 1. Because the song was much more difficult to arrange and execute and 2. because they where missing a member and it sounded just as good, if not better than any of the other "top teared" groups.

  • @xxsamplextextxx they had good harmonies true, but their lead singer was horrible, yellow jackets had good harmonies as welll, good vocals as well as a their choreography. my top five would be

    1. Yellow Jackets

    2. Afro Blue

    3. Vocal Point

    4. Delilah

    5. Urban Method

  • @dakidd474 Vocal point at 3???? they had BY far the bets vocals. do you realize how incredibly hard it is to go up 3 steps in one song!! that alone was more impressive than any of the other groups.

  • @xxsamplextextxx im afraid you lost me with the technical parts of music..... i was just basing it off of what they sounded like. maybe they did go up three steps (idk what they are) but even so i thought afro blue and the yellow jackets sounded better

  • @xxsamplextextxx LMFAO!!! Vocal Point 1st and Afro-Blue 5th??? You fail.

  • @killamusiq Afro-blue is now 4th. I posted that weeks ago ha. I actually thought north shore was the best in the competition. but since they have been eliminated, my top 5 are as follows

    1. Vocal point. everything they've done has been spectacular and most of it was done without one of their men.

    2. Dartmoth Aires. I think these first two are close from their arrangements, to everything that goes on in their songs.

    3. Urban Method.

    4. Afro-blue

    5. yellow jackets.

  • @xxsamplextextxx If I had to pick a top five, it would be as follows:

    1. Afro-Blue

    2. Pentatonix

    3. Dartmouth Aires

    4. Vocal Point

    5. Urban Method

  • @xxsamplextextxx ummmm your entitled to your opinion but but I have

1.Pentatonix- there last two performances words cant describe the awesomness.

2.Afro Blue- very close they grove so well and they are just musical geniuses

3.Urban Method- its close btw 3 and 4 I could flip them

4.Vocal Point.- Almost always perfecty on pitch and alot of fun

5 Dartmouth Aires- they are fun but their basses need to step up.

They really have som great groups.

  • I wanted him to keep beatboxing!! that was amazing!!! <3

  • this shit is fucking sick

  • its love the way you lie not "Love The Way You Are"

  • LOVE the beatbox Sean. :)

  • @iAMnicey me 2

  • its love the way you lie not are

  • The main issue I had with this group was I didn't feel like they made the song their own. The rapping, beat and singing followed almost exactly along with the original song. Look at the Yellow Jackets and Delilah's performances...Those are what I expect on this show.

  • The reason this group isn't as great is because of the fact that they DO have a rapper.. I don't think it added really anything other than it took away MUSIC.

  • didn't like it.. the girl ruined it.

  • there so amazing!

  • no the yello jackets shoudnt i give thea c- i give this group a A++++++++++++++++

  • @ForeSakened1 The yellowjackets actually SANG. The rapper idea is cool and all, but they will be off the show shortly. They are not an acapella singing group.

  • love the way you lie!

  • Between them and the Yellowjackets these two are my front runners. I like the power that comes from the leads

  • didn't On The Rocks have a rapper?

  • @TheHavocHacksaw yes but he just rapped once

  • Delilah and this group r my top groups so far.. The rap is awesome and I love the all girl group that is grounded well!!

  • when the rap started that's when the harmonies started to go off.

  • That shit was badass! Very impressive. Ya'll people's ears are out of tune. That was really really good

  • It's a no for me.

  • The vocals are NOT where they need to be. It seems like the only one putting any energy into this is the rapper. The group needs to put more umph in it!

  • NEXT!!!

  • Great solo and bratboxing! But the background is a) lame, and b) out of tune.

  • That background is OFF. They are just off key. Of the 8 from this night I hope they realize that this group and Afro-Blue are clearly the next two weakest groups (and Both of those are worse in terms of a cappella groups than Cat's Pajama's)

  • @AIReject Just what I was thinking. The female harmony is especially off. Their rapper is their only true. advantage.

  • PLEASE...Can one of these groups do "Thank You" by Boyz II Men this season....The song is PERFECT for this show...Just not sure what group could pull it off.

  • Love it! They have vocals, a fresh outlook, and acting. Yellowjackets, Delilah, and Rapapella are my top 3.

  • Fricken epic! ill root for them all the way

  • Los mejores.

  • good singers do you agree

  • I KNOW TROY!!!!!!!!!

  • Eminem ft. Rihanna... NOT the other way around!

  • how did u give the fannin family a b+ nd urban method only a b! also how did u only give the yellow jackets a b+ yellowjackets deserved an A+++++

  • The rapper did awesome!

  • Its by Eminem Ft. Rihanna not the other way around

  • @STORMINN0RM4N @mrduckbear And it should probably read "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem ft. Rihanna

  • @sjulaxboy8 it's a LOVE THE WAY YOU ARE/LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE mash up lol
