First off, Smells Like Teen Spirit is REDICULOUSLY EASY TO PLAY. Second of all, a Rock Band controller in reality is pretty much NOTHING like a real guitar. BEsides the strum idea and general finger placement(and look) it's nothing like a guitar.

If you want an explaination of things like that, search for them on Youtube.
