If you're not going to play any instruments, at least put more into your presence on stage. Julian seems to think it's enough, him just being there, for a good show. Well anyway, I think the amount of people that left chanting "JARVIS" after The Strokes finished their set goes to prove my point.

@SamuelEllmer I kind of understand how you felt. Julian was much livelier and sang better during Phrazes and up till the first couple of shows for this album. Sober Julian is pretty self-conscious at big venues, it's just that YouTube/media has immortalised the wild, drunk Julian we've came to expect some rock star antics. Love this show though! The songs are so good! Well, they may or may not have internal band issues. I'm just glad they are still playing together. Love them. Just my opinion.

@SamuelEllmer OMG dude Pulp were so fucking boring. Jarvis kept chatting shit and some of the audience were just waiting for The Strokes to come on afterwards. Standing around doing not much is The Strokes' thing. They don't try and be cool, they are cool. You have to think about it from a money point of view, their manager and record company have probably told them to act this way, it's good for selling records, since no one else does it. I never even heard anyone chanting Jarvis afterwards.

I was right in the heart of the crowd that night, and I didn't know where the Strokes fans were tbh, I stayed though, much to my inevitable disappointment. They didn't even close well, Julian didn't know wtf was going on.

Also, "cool"? Really? Are we 15 and living in the early 90s?

@SamuelEllmer That's because people bumlick Pulp cause it was a comeback gig. I was right at the front aswell you twat and the break between Pulp and Strokes was the most crushed I've ever been in my life at any concert because there were so many Strokes fans waiting for them during Pulp. I remember during Pulp at one point everyone around me started chanting 'strokes' cause no one wanted to listen to Pulp's shite music. And cool is a word everyone fucking uses, stop trying to be a hipster.

Also, I didn't see a single girl or woman in that crowd throughout the whole performance, it was all men. And obviously the crowd didn't wither. You do realise that STATISTICALLY the strokes had the second largest crowd after Muse.

For example I was at the front of and Alter Bridge concert this year and it was the least crushed I've ever been in a concert even thought they're a metal band. I was also at the front of Muse, Kings of Leon and Enter Shikari, all without being crushed. So shut the fuck up, or get your facts straight. The Strokes was the craziest ROCK concert I've ever been to.

You're one of those people who thinks of themselves as a sort of connoisseur of music, and nothing but the obvious stuff is good enough. Why can't people have different acts and chose to express the music that they wrote in their own way? The Strokes gave an amazing performance if their type of performance is what you like, and that's that.
