If God had something to do with this she wouldn't have been born deaf in the first place. People really need to look at the evidence, get past all this religion crap and start thanking the people who actually made this possible. People that actually exist.

@limdaf Children will get them and will have a better chance of picking up language. If at the adult age they hate it, they can get it removed. For a baby that is profoundly deaf, I think it is a wonderful tool.
@limdaf doesn't this baby deserve the chance to learn to speak like a normal child? If she grows up and doesn't like it she can turn it off later or get it removed. But if she didn't get the implant she would never learn normal speech and would have no choice as an adult.

When I'm in the lab, everyday researching how to somehow cure your kid, know that it's MY God who is encouraging me to not give up when it all seems bleak. My colleagues and I all worship a God. There isn't one atheist among us. And it's our God who gives us strength. I really have a problem when people put down others beliefs when you have no idea what motivates them to get out of bed every morning.
@DnvnQuinn Science has something to do with it. But as a believer you know that God is our healer and works through miraculous ways. Don't be ignorant of others beliefs.

deaf child get older have choice use sign language and speak voice it her body not parents choice ..if my kids are deaf i will respect children feel.
