You say that no one comes close to Ronnie Milsap, I believe that you are forgetting about George Strait (58 #1's), Conway Twitty (55 #1's), and The Bee Gees.
@thirdchild1111 I can not respond to the Bee Gees, as I have not listened to them. As far as Conway and George, they are both great. If todays stations would play Ronnies current music his hit count would go up. When I stated that no one can come close to Ronnie Milsap, I was referring to his talent of singing soo many different style of music ... Blues, R&B, Country Pop, Country etc. His voice range alllow him to sing a variety of styles .. not just country. Thanks for listening :-)
@dbelleburr The Bee Gees weren't country, they were most famous as a disco act in the mid-late 1970s, so they don't count. As for the crossing over, Conway crossed over once ("You've Never Been This Far Before"). Wikipedia claims that Strait once made the AC chart, but it's not exactly the most reliable source in the world.
@CharlieAndRonnie Conway Twitty crossed over much more than once. He made the pop charts 20 times between "I Need Your Lovin'" in 1957 and "Don't Cry Joni" in 1976. Nine of those 20 hits made the top 40, with the biggest being "It's Only Make Believe" which spent a week at #1 (pop, not country) in late 1958.
@CharlieAndRonnie Unless you were referring to "You've Never Been This Far..." being the only big crossover hit of his country career (he was a rockabilly singer prior to 1965), in which case you would be correct. He did have five other Hot 100 singles from 1970 onward but none made the Top 40.
@Superbook4Eva That was what I was referring to. I'm aware of his initial R&R stardom. I was talking about the country star who more people know about; as a country star, Conway had just 1 Hot 100 hit (making the top 40 being the requirement for a hit), which made the easy listening (now adult contemporary) top 10. That's what I was talking about if it makes sense. W/ Strait, he made the newer pop 100 a few times, but if it counts, I don't know. Among full-time crossovers, RM has the most #1s.
@josephsanders1 I don't understand. Who/what is/are he eagles? Are you making a comment about Ronnie? Are you trying to type "the Eagles" only to omit the 't'? I'm not sure what you're trying to type; will you please specify for me? Thanks in advance!
@thirdchild1111 Also, to add to my comments from a while ago, can they play all keyboard, all string, all percussion, AND all woodwind instruments? Did (CW died long ago) they have the ability to sing any type of music in general like blues, R&B, soul, rock, jazz, funk, pop, doo-wop, adult contemporary/soft rock, country, disco, and even operatically-influenced recordings? Also, they have co-produced their records, but w/ sight. Try doing it w/ your own studio & the aforementioned WHILE BLIND.
You have to think the few people who have 'disliked' this video/song have done so just out of spite or to see what it was like. Deep down they like this: who could not? Seriously.
Ronnie Milsap is the past .. present ... and future. There isn't a musician today that can come close to him. Eariler this week I heard a song that is now on the top 50 list .. The title of the song ... "Solo Cup" ... really? and a few days later .. "Camaflouge" ... These artists need to sit down and listen to some Milsap and rethink things .. just my opinion
@dbelleburr Those 2 songs you mentioned are those artist's "Fool Around" songs... They're just jokes. Those 2 artists you mentioned are some of the most talented in the country scene right now.
@justinge999 I realize that. It just upsets me that the radio stations dont mind playing these "Fool Around" songs .. but most stations WONT even consider playing Classic songs by Mr. Ronnie Milsap. Hey Ronnie has fool around songs too... let me see there is "Hi Heel Sneakers", "Get It Up", "Lets Get Stoned", "The Cat Was A Junkie", "I Love New Orleans", "Blue Suede Shoes" .. just to name a few off the top of my head :-) Sorry didnt mean to go on and on .. Thanks for listening ... dodybelle
This song is amazing. I love it!! I AM SO HAPPY YOU PEOPLE ARE BACK!!! IT HAS BEEN SOOOOOO LONELY, BUT I KNOW THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON. even bad luck
This song really resonates with me. I think the sentiment of this song inspired The Dance by Garth Brooks. I love songs where the artist hints at dealing with pain but moving forward.
Wish this was meant for me :"'( Being blocked it's obviously not. Doesn't matter, I'll Always Love You, Forever. No matter what. You have my heart. Maybe someday you'll hold me again. </3

I lost My Love on September 16, 1987...which is 24 years ago today... as she lost her Battle With Cancer! I Loved Her With ALL Of Heart...and Every Ounce Of My Body!!!!! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her!!!!! We Chose This Song To Be Our Song...I Love You Wendy...I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World!!!!! Rest In Peace My Love!!!!!
How i miss this type of country music. In many ways i feel Country music stations, and artist sold out years ago. Ronnie Milsap, John Anderson, Oak Ridge Boy's, Alabama, Conway, Earl Thomas Conley. Miss them all ): Who remembers when Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, and George Strait all did this type of music 20-30yrs ago and they were all hits? My kids think that these guys have only been around a few years and are shocked when i pull up their old hits, LOL.
was station scanning on the road last weekend when this song came ont the country oldies station. so many memories of her and i came back. even though she has been gone for many years, our time together seemed like only yesterday. thanks to ronnie milsap this sums up my feelings perfectly. thank you for posting this great song..

@bloodz97 I also grew up listening to Ronnie Milsap .. no one in my family listened to him, even today, most of my friends give me funny looks because he is the only perosn I listen to. What a great song!!!!! Milsap is very good, should have been a much bigger star. I love his voice.. it is different. The country feel doesn't bother me when Ronnie sings.
The frist time I heard this song was in middle School, winter of 1994, My love at the time was Debbie Gurrea... I had the choice in the beging of the year to stay in Rayburn or move back to Brentwood.. I'm so gald i stayed or I never would of meet her, she was my frist love... if i had the chance tomorrow , I'll do it all over again! I wouldn't miss the chance of loving her again!
ronnie at his best and my favorite by him. although she passed away, i wouldn't have missed loving her even if i had known it how it would end. thanks for posting this bittersweet song
I was in the Army in Hawaii in 1976 when I heard Ronnie on the radio, I told my cousin, whom I joined the Army with, He's going to make it to the Top, and he did, and he just kept getting better. gary.
Ronnie Milsap just performed here in my town....It was awesome...I'm only 24 years old but I grew up listening to him and many others....I miss those days
although you passed away many years ago, not a day goes by that i don't think of you.i wouldn't have missed our time together even i f i had known how it would end.
Even though he broke my heart years ago, I still think of him and the memories are priceless. Even if it ended bad, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
I played in a rock band across france years ago..sometimes we stayed in the most awful places and went hungry...but we saw France..it was rough at the time but looking back it was quite an experience....all these years later we are still great friends....and all agree...'I wouldn't have missed it for the world'.....This song must touch thousands of people.....What a talent Ronny Milsap is....from England
Which one are we talking about, KMAJ? I've lost a lot of them. I've, apparently, lost to Virgo soul mates, at that. So, which one, since you played the song, are you talking about? The one, then, who wasn't, apparently, mine? So I keep looking and I have some long range scanning data, already.
Just lost my amazing Grandma. And though this loss pains me greatly, this song is exactly how I feel. I wouldnt have missed having her in my life for the world. The wonderful memories outweigh the grief I feel at this moment.
ronnie milsap is pretty much a legend :D i just came across his music not to long ago and i have liked every song of his i have heard thus far thanks for the upload peace
@ICEMAN0o I totally agree!! I have Dedicated my entire Channel to Ronnie Milsap ....Always Ronnie ... All The Time ..... Soooo Glad you enjoy the music ..... I have around 160 of his songs uploaded and still have many more to go. thanks for listening ... peace dodybelle
Ronnie brings back so many memories for me. Oh My God. Saw him in concert when I was a child, in the rain, umbrella in hand. Loved every minute of it. My mom and I loved his music so much.
@ForeverTaylor I am glad that this song brought back such fond memories for you. i have see Ronnie Milsap in concert many times and will see him again in a few months .... Thanks for listening ... have a wonderful day .. dodybelle
Karla, this song says it all. I truly wouldn't have missed it for the world!!! The time we had, though short, was more than I ever dreamed it could be! Yes, all good things must end...but if I had the chance tomorrow, I would do it all again. I love you Karla J. I always have and I always will. No matter who comes along, there will always be a piece of my heart that that cannot have because it belongs to you. You stole my heart 20 yrs ago, and I know I'll never get it back.

Love this song, reminds me of some wonderful people I've been fortunate enough to have had in my life............

Ronnie brings back so many memories for me. Oh My God. Saw him in concert when I was a child, in the rain, umbrella in hand. Loved every minute of it. My mom and I loved his music so much.
