  • Haha, why would the agent waste your time showing you places that didn't match your requirement..? And that empty plot outside your balcony at the last place should have set of alarm bells.. actually today the view is totally blocked... which a good agent should have told you would happen.. but that's Bangkok :)

  • I was actually interested in seeing inside that open air design with no wall. The video was good, but maybe could use more tips for overcoming language barriers with Thai landlords. That was the biggest challenge for me; finding a landlord who spoke enough English to let me in. Of course my price range is 1600 baht!

  • Uh, I think I would take that last apartment too....LMAO!!

  • i just realized. that apartment that you settled with has no one living in it at the moment... theres a building site right next to it.

  • i also see the park plaza from my balconey. do you see the construction they are doing quite near it. its noisy

  • Nice video and great production. It makes me cringe to see $500/month apartments there in BKK. You can easily get $500/month apartments here in Japan as well. But when you start comparing salaries, I think Japan becomes a steal. If you are considering price per square meter then you probably get a better deal in BKK.

  • thanks for posting!

  • You are awesome!!!

  • HIlarious

  • nice work and gud video

  • HAHAHAH! i was seriously doubting your taste right up untill the last 30 seconds there. LMAO

  • excellent choice for music :)

  • Always enjoy watching your work. Beautiful girls as a neighbor would make me stay too lol.

  • Sweet emotion, Nice way to pick an apartment. Looks like a great place!

  • I frankly appreciate your time and effort for making this video and educating us all. Kob Kun Kub

  • nice vid

  • Great Stuff, Your videos are getting better and better.

  • How many times did you change your shirt? It looks like you never sweat! ;D

    Great Video!

I´m in about the same situation currently in Chiang Mai!

How do you finance your stay in Bangkok?

25000 baht would be a bit too much for me....

    Poor student...

  • LOL! Great video.... Thanks.

  • 1:50 #OMG open air! Is that an apartment or what?

  • Lol. Good pick! I like the last one too. When I go back to Thailand I may also have to look for one like you here... but I'll be living in Chiangmai :D

PS. you totally should do video about Thai food and dining out. My friends over here always wonder if they visit Thailand will they be able to handle the food over there and stuff. You should totally show them ;)! Peace!

  • Love all of your videos! You should make one about Sala @ Hua Hin serviced apartments...thats where ill be staying. :)

  • dam those apartments look small

  • awesome video :)

  • Tony your videos have always be great and with lots of info but to your credit they just keep getting better. I really liked how you got the people in the street involved. The girl scout troop was a hoot. How in the world did you get them to work along with you?

Now, the ending was perfect. As soon as the actress walked by the door I started laughing. What a wonderful job with this video. Keep up the good work.

  • One of the reasons why i stay upcountry in the North.

I get a home and really large garden - a paradies for my cats - for 4000 Baht. There are even enough western style houses available now cause all new build homes have at least western toilett and a bath tub now (and what else does western style mean?)

  • Mission accomplished! Great video. awesome production, very professional...

Have any suggestions for air travel between China and Thailand and possibly to Japan from Thailand?

  • I love your videos mate!

  • Fun and educational as always Tony! Well done.

  • Excellent stuff. Useful thins. Might be useful in near future.

  • how much for the one that u took to rent??? and where is it that ?? and the one that next to the bike station is also good for it price man

  • Great video Tony! Would be nice to see a follow up video to this after you're moved in. Cheers!

  • 11000 Baht for such a small appartment is very expensive.

Never follow any adds written in english - they are a rip off. Hire one of the ladies from the sois and let her do the negotiations. A little away from BTS you have no problems getting one for 5000-10000 Baht.

But one problem is still there - Thais think telefon lines are just for voice calls. Internet is mostly something they never cared about when installing the telephone system - this sucks. And a farang without internet? ROTFL.

  • Wow! very nicely made video. u put alot of effort into it, im sure :]

  • Wow Khun I was going to message you about this topic, I thought about relocating to BKK through my company.

  • good stuff, keep it coming!
