  • This is awesome

  • ive really begun to love this type of serene music. it's so beautiful.

  • I could be wrong, but I think this song is about someone losing their faith. "Guess who died... The only god of mine" seems almost playfully irreverent. "Speaking fire he would hire pawns and peasants just like me to feed upon the conquered ones. But now we are free" is pretty straight forward to me. I don't really understand what the metaphors of drowning, taming champagne, or selling his "gold" for flowers and rice could mean. I have some ideas. Thoughts or other opinions? Beautiful song.

  • such a pure tone to her voice

  • I won't sit here and tell you what everyone who has heard this song knows, but I will say that in the past few weeks I've been listening almost primarily to folk songs and that it seems like now it's just natural to think that Agnes Obel is one of the greatest folk singer/pianist that I know.

  • Oh my. So dark and beautiful. Haunting, enchanting, delicate, and calm. She's quite the happy cynic.

  • Sad that she had a voice extinction the day she should have performed in the montreux jazz festival (switzerland), I was really looking forward.

  • beautiful

  • i love love love it.

  • This song has suddenly got complete new meaning for me. After I was involved in a car accident a few months ago, while listening to this song.. I keep thinking about the sound of the car crashing towards the grund, making somersaults, everytime I hear this song now.

The sweet tones of the harmonic piano-tunes.... has turned a memory of a tragic experience.

  • Just beautiful.

  • so Wonderful.

  • @EmilynTan

I 'm french. I listened your emotive story. The truth memory is in depth of soul and all or part may release a feedback when voice vibrate the more sensitive strings.

    Good health from Pierre

  • pureness...

  • magnifique!!!

  • Overwhelming. Wonderful.

  • Check out this indie kind of music made by: The National-Sorrow,bloodbuzz ohio, anyone's ghost.

  • Me too, I love heavy rock and metal, gothic, alternative, industrial metal. However sometimes someone captures my attention. I have just found Agnes Obel today and will have to buy her Philharmonics album she is wonderful. I love the video to Just So and the atmospheric photographic images of her too. You might want to check out Kristina Bill, Lissie, and Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes also along with Sigur Ros.

  • This is art.

  • I'm more of a fan of heavier music, but sometimes stuff like this just widens my spectrum and makes me see the beauty in music as a whole. Wonderful song!

  • @ThanatosMedia Couldnt have put it better myself...

  • @ThanatosMedia Same here...going from sick drops in a dubstep music to this is like an emotional musical rollercoaster. This is why I love youtube.

  • @ThanatosMedia i agree, i am a huge hip hop fan (hip-hop - not to be confused with the degraded mainstream bs on the radio)

  • A M A Z I N G!!!!

  • this song is amazing. thats all
