There isn't enough oil in the ANWR to make the price of gas budge 5 cents. Besides, even if we rushed into production at this very second it would take years to get that oil pumping. I didn't say that drilling in AK would solve the crisis alone; however, opening up new places for drilling will bring down gas and oil prices. Bush merely lifted the executive ban on offshore drilling and the average gas price by something to the effect of a dollar on national average. Imagine if we opened up all the regions w/ oil for drilling. Montana alone has more oil that Saudi Arabia. It would certainly help ease the pain at the pump. More drilling is necessary to fix the NRG crisis.
Oil is now floating around $100.00 a barrel due President Bush lifting the offshore drilling ban. Just to inform you, alternative NRG sources will take a while to develop as well, so timing is not a good reason not to invest in new NRG sources. It sounds like you need to get educate yourself.

The word slaughter implies that one is helpless and unable to defend oneself, this is not the case with US soldiers. I do believe that that the public was lied to about the facts that caused us to be in in Iraq in the fist place.

I'm thinking about several stories I have read in the news about service members going through multiple tours of duty Iraq without a scratch and then come back to the States to be killed in some random act of violence.
In the month of February 2009, 17 U.S. service member were reported killed in Iraq and not all in combat. Very tragic for them and their families, but not what any reasonable person could see as a slaughter.

There isn't enough oil in the ANWR to make the price of gas budge 5 cents. Besides, even if we rushed into production at this very second it would take years to get that oil pumping. It's just a waste of time. Ion battery plug in hybrids and cold fusion are our only hope. We're going to be paying $12 a gallon by 2010 if they don't think of something.

Both have great talking points, and both have a great vision. You must see how they want to get to that destination. The oil issue and Palin is a very probable circumstance. The fact that she has had expierience in not only lowering prices, but also in creating a pipeline to the U.S. is a very good thing to have on your record. The mere mention of more driling from Palin and Mccain of drilling may make a great difference because the supply will immediatly increase.

Obama has far less expierience and far less patritism than Mccain. Mccain and Obama are going to be a good race to victory in November. I didn't say that drilling in AK would solve the crisis alone; however, opening up new places for drilling will bring down gas and oil prices. Bush merely lifted the executive ban on offshore drilling and the average gas price by something to the effect of a dollar on national average. Imagine if we opened up all the regions w/ oil for drilling. Montana alone has more oil that Saudi Arabia. It would certainly help ease the pain at the pump. More drilling is necessary to fix the NRG crisis.

Oil is now floating around $100.00 a barrel due President Bush lifting the offshore drilling ban. Just to inform you, alternative NRG sources will take a while to develop as well, so timing is not a good reason not to invest in new NRG sources. It sounds like you need to get educate yourself.

if you think the amount of oil we get from drilling in alaska would be enough to cover the amount that americans consume, you're an idiot. clearly we need to find alternate sources of energy soon because petroleum isn't going to last forever. and if voters are going to be so easily swayed and vote for palin, just because they want to save some bucks on their energy bill, we're in big trouble.

What I do know is that a lot of people want to leave the country if McCain wins, which I hope doesn't happen because we don't want people with education's leaving the U.S. and building another nation's GDP. I was willing to overlook the fact that Palin has a pregnant, unwed daughter. But news just came out that her 19 year-old son Track was a drug-addicted, drunk, high school drop-out loser.

Amerika4me, if that is true that he finished High school then I would like to take that comment back, because that conclusion I built was based off a false premise. What I also meant was that people who are high school drop outs are in a tough spot, and one of the few things people can do in such a position (besides work in retail) is serve in the Millitary.
