  • This was a fantastic series. I forgot how many prototypes they fielded in the good ol days! Too bad one of the factory teams always dominated, and prototypes tended to DNF more often than not, but at least the starts were impressive!

  • Whaou!!

  • the noise :o

    Gets me every freakin' time.

  • Best sportscar racing era at the time.

  • Very Cool,.. Living here in Central Florida I get tired of all the necks getting so excited about Impala's and Camray's going around in circles

  • Great to see us in some of the footage. IMSA in the 80's and early 90's was some of the greatest memories.

  • MOAR!!!

  • Loved the livery on those Castrol Jaguars.

  • I havn't seen race cars with fender skirts in too long. This was very cool seeing those Jaguars again.

  • amazing stuff

  • I need more to satisfy my Gr.C /Imsa addiction. 962, C9, C11, XJR-9 etc...all this cars and their drivers rule!

  • and my electromotive nissan addiction

  • That which you were addicted to, was in turn addicted to spending too much of their factory money. Thats what made them all go away, never to return.

Nissan and Toyota should have gone to LeMans. Even though Toyota did go to F1, they should have gone there sooner, instead of going to IMSA.

  • I agree, but I still miss the glory days of IMSA and the street races

  • Nissan have gone to Le Mans, they was third, fifth and sixth in 1998.

Toyota also, they been the motorist of that sard that finish 24 in 1996 and they also finish second (that mean first behind the killer Dauer 962) in 1992 with Eddie Irvine, 4th in 1933...

And the trouble is not only ABOUT money, is also that in the last year, the rule was looking near F1...

  • Nissan's Le Mans effort goes much further back than '98. Recall the Nissan powered March Group C and of course the Lola designed Nissan R89/R90 from the late 80s, early 90s.

  • It'd be nice if we could have another Group C or GTP era :D

...complete with all the manufacturer involvement :D

  • Well, yes, but not with Nissan name.

I get nissan in 1998 and 1997 with the name Nissan/twr. In 1995,1996, it was Nismo. 1994,2 Nissan was entered with the Clayton Cunningham. 1991,1992,1993 none. From 1986 to 1990 I get Courage&Team Le Mans Co with strong sponsorship from Nissan.

  • Can't get any more official than 1990 with not only NISMO but NPTi and 7 total entries culminating in pole position for Mark Blundell (6 Nissan R90s and 1 Nissan R89). The 1989 effort was factory backed as well wit 2 factory entered Nissan R89s. Some of the March entries were factory backed as well ('88 [#s 32, 23], '87 [#s 21, 29], '86 [#s 16, 23])

  • Duno, I get the nissan as constructor and Nismo as a team and I don't wake up...

And what a talented team: I mean Hasemi/Hoshino/Suzuki. It's don't seem to be great drive but they are pretty good in endurance. But, if you look the guy in front it's was very high.

  • GREAT video clip......want to buy a copy of this 1990 GTP video as I own the 90 chevy Spice SE90P car in this video (Green,Red,White) racing in it.

  • Hey, I noticed the San Antonio Grand Prix clip. Do you have more of that?

  • Sex on wheels...

  • Looks good! Definitely need more...

    Cheers! Rob.
