I think I had a map from Nintendo Power to beat it cause honestly I don't know how I figured out all this crap. lol Here I am today, studying computer animation and a ps3 and xbox owner with a shit load of games i have no time to play

I last played this game some 20 years ago, and I still remember where to go. It gets kind of embedded in the brain, especially since this game had no save function and one had to play the same things over and over again!

For all the stages backgrounds you can make out roughly were he is or the theme of the area; but in the 2nd part of Level 7 it looks like some strange alien base.

That leads me to question that have hunted me ever since I was 3. Was Froggy like an alien commander or something?

This is without a doubt the best music in the game. All levels have great music, but this one stands out.

Wow great job man. I tip my hat off to your skills. I'm trying to beat this game for the first time and have been using your videos as a guide when necessary =P

I like how you defeat the bosses without using the pause trick.

I had to watch the end of this particular video about 10 times before I figured out the pattern on the boss. Did you figure that out by trial and error?

Thank you very much man! Yes, I had to learn the pattern of the boss by trial and error! However, since everything is pretty easy to avoid, I did not have very much trouble with this one. The 5th and 6th bosses were the hardest one to beat in my first games. After I master them, last two bosses became the ultimate challenge besides the 8th area itself! Right now, everything is now very easy to me, since I am now relaxed as I play any game, and I have perfect control over myself and joypad! :)

Yeah you have very good technique. There's a lot of subtleties to your run that I hope people appreciate. Like when your approaching a soldier in the overhead sequence you approach along the edge of platform as to avoid any fire from them.

And your treatment of the boss was very well done. I was going to be happy just to get damage in during his "flamethrower tongue" attack, but you disposed of him much quicker than I would have.

I thank you too aboutt the subtilities of my game1 It's true that I use my own skills to fight a little differently because I know a lot about my favorite games1 It's like fighting the very last boss in Zelda 2 The Adventure of Link. I never , but really never saw someone fight it like I do, 'cause I learned to fight it myself, without any help, and I am also proud of that! That's really a good feeling to sense that I somehow and sometimes promote games with my unique skills. ;)

Area 4 is the worst maze of the whole game. Orher areas past also have dead-ends, but none of them is like Area 4. ;)
