@workstrength "Rebooting" the original series was a huge risk. I remember being skeptical when, back in 2007, it was announced that they were really doing it and that J.J. Abrams was at the helm. With J.J. attached to the project, I felt a little more calm because I knew he did good, creative work, but as a die-hard fan I feared that this could either be really good, or really, really bad. But then the trailer came out, and I felt like this was going to be a great retelling for a new age. =)

Both of these fine actors really made the movie for me.. Well I am a lifetime Star Trek fan-one who was originally horified when TSNG came out--how dare they mess with Trek? LOL This movie, in my view anyway was everything plus far more than I had hoped for. I can see millions of people being brought into the Star Trek world with it and also great satisfaction for all us Trek fanatics. Can't wait for the next one. JJ did an amazing job renewing the life of 'this franchise' I want MORE!!
