Yah! Thanks for recommending never sleeping in makeup! It grosses me out when people sleep in makeup or don't take it off very good. Sleeping in makeup for one night can age the face 13 days! Ew...lol

I realize that you posted this a year ago, but makeup does NOT cause wrinkles. That's completely false. Yes, it can clog pores and make you breakout, but it doesn't cause wrinkles.

ok I'm just getting use to the lashes however I find after removing them I have glue left over in my natural lashes which doesn't come off easy with water. sometimes days after I have the lashes on I will still find glue- this is annoying help me!

What do you suggest for someone that has the problem of the lash strip being too short? I find that they are all too short for me. By short I mean. Most people address cutting outer part of the lash after measuring it against your eye. I find they are never wide enough for my eye. Do I cut part of another strip to make them fit?
Try placing them on the outmost part of your eye. That's the area you want to enhance. You don't reallly want you inner corner of your eye to be too long. It gets uncomfortable.
What kind of lashes do you use on your clients Do you buy them MAC lashes and let them keep them or cheaper ones like KISS lashes and let them keep them. I dont want to reuse lashes I think that is gross

I tend to wait about 10-20 seconds before I apply the lashes but I find that the corners still sometimes WONT STICK! What would be the best thing to do at that point/take them off and reapply? OR put MORE glue under the corner and pres down 10-20 secs? Sometimes that still doesn't make them stick!!

Well, I was pretty sure the lashes were supposed to go on top of your natural lash and not your lid. I always see it done that way. One time i went to get individuals put on and even she put them on top of and between my natural lashes. Heck I'm no expert though. I suppose you do whatever works for you.
yeah cause i am no expert either and that is how i do it... just lay it on my lid... that way it doesnt end up fallin off and they dont rip my real lashes off...

Because you don't have to remove them and reapply.. I have some, but I admit I don't take the time to use them ( or my strip lashes, for that matter). But being free from having to remove/apply them for a few days is the benefit I see.
Doh, and here goes Lauren saying that she recommends not keeping individuals on, LOL.
Really though, Individuals are supposed to be applied with a glue that is intended to set the lashes for about a week, not with the same glue that you use for strip lashes. You can wash your face and go about your business.
I personally don't do that because i wear contacts and have sensitive eyes, but if done properly, individuals are designed to look more natural and not be removed daily.
true that, i did some in a saloon one time and it lasted for about a week, they used a special glue for that but i wonder using duo would last as long.
duo don't last as long but they are better on your eyelashes instead of the glue intended for individuals, that glue gets hard and can take ur lashes out...
@ makeupbygloria, The OnlyPerfectBeauty is right on both things. Ardell makes a good individual glue but if you try to just remove them, you do run that risk. it's better to just let them fall away on their own.
NO the best way to save your lashes is to rub them in rubbing aclohol then pull the adhesive off trust me it easyer and faster to do it that way hoe this helps you
it looks so obvious when i put false lashes on...the glue i use turns gray or it looks "dusty" like eyeshadow falls on it(but i put them last)...idk it looks awful..help!
Are you using the black lash glue? I hate those because if you make a mistake you can really see it. Use the clear lash glue it's a thousand times better.

If the individuals are done correctly, you can sleep in them and they Last for about 1 to 2 weeks, The strips wont last if you sleep in them, but the individuals will last

Great Tutorial! You can also wash the used lashes with warm water and a dab of baby shampoo. When you are done you can place them back on the lash stand to re-shape them.
Lashes can be so frustrating and they require some practice. If anyone is having problems........... just keep on practicing, don't get discouraged. Lashes are so much fun. Thanks for another great tutorial.
I never knew some ppl put lashes on before doing their eye makeup, what do they do about the eyeshadow fall out? if u use like a light color, and it falls on the faux lashes..its gonna take a precise hand to get that out

because makeup ages you and its best to sleep with a clean face!
especially if you leave face makeup on,... leads to lots of acne and pimples and wrinkles later on in life
and dont leave mascara on, it dries out your lashes and makes them break
and eyeliner makes your eyes wrinkle over time
so always take your makeup off!
I mean if you forget every once in awhile, then its fine, but dont make it a habit!

i use a white kohl liner on my waterline and add a shimmer color or light color to my inner eyes to brighten them and make them appear larger.

yeah cause i am no expert either and that is how i do it... just lay it on my lid... that way it doesnt end up fallin off and they dont rip my real lashes off...

I use individuals on my bottom lash line.
If you put them on the outer corner and the middle of your bottom lash line it gives you a cute pixie-ish bright eyed look:]

Because you don't have to remove them and reapply.. I have some, but I admit I don't take the time to use them ( or my strip lashes, for that matter). But being free from having to remove/apply them for a few days is the benefit I see.

Doh, and here goes Lauren saying that she recommends not keeping individuals on, LOL.
Really though, Individuals are supposed to be applied with a glue that is intended to set the lashes for about a week, not with the same glue that you use for strip lashes. You can wash your face and go about your business.
I personally don't do that because i wear contacts and have sensitive eyes, but if done properly, individuals are designed to look more natural and not be removed daily.

true that, i did some in a saloon one time and it lasted for about a week, they used a special glue for that but i wonder using duo would last as long.

duo don't last as long but they are better on your eyelashes instead of the glue intended for individuals, that glue gets hard and can take ur lashes out...

@ makeupbygloria, The OnlyPerfectBeauty is right on both things. Ardell makes a good individual glue but if you try to just remove them, you do run that risk. it's better to just let them fall away on their own.

NO the best way to save your lashes is to rub them in rubbing aclohol then pull the adhesive off trust me it easyer and faster to do it that way hoe this helps you

it looks so obvious when i put false lashes on...the glue i use turns gray or it looks "dusty" like eyeshadow falls on it(but i put them last)...idk it looks awful..help!

Are you using the black lash glue? I hate those because if you make a mistake you can really see it. Use the clear lash glue it's a thousand times better.

Buy eyelash glue that dries clear.
Eyeshadow can fall on natural lashes as well.
Are you using a base before you put the eyeshadow on, so that the eyeshadow has something to stick to?

Great tut. I feel the same as you when it come to individual lashes.... Remove them. It is not stated on the package that the lashes are wearable longer than a day. Thanks for posting.

If the individuals are done correctly, you can sleep in them and they Last for about 1 to 2 weeks, The strips wont last if you sleep in them, but the individuals will last

Great Tutorial! You can also wash the used lashes with warm water and a dab of baby shampoo. When you are done you can place them back on the lash stand to re-shape them.

I never knew some ppl put lashes on before doing their eye makeup, what do they do about the eyeshadow fall out? if u use like a light color, and it falls on the faux lashes..its gonna take a precise hand to get that out

I sooooo do that too, except I use tweezers to take the glue off. Why throw them away when all you have to do is take the glue off and reapply!

Hey! Great video! I finally got the hang of false lashes. I practiced with out the glue first to get the feel, then I went for it and applied the glue. yay! I ordered a bunch of lashes from NYX so I had to learn how to put them on.
