I don't think that showing the clothes that John Lennon died in, is a bad thing. It is the reality of his life and how his life ended. Art is the freedom of life and the freedom of self expression of life. I think she is brave and generous to have shared those very intimate last moments of his and theirs life's together.

i wouldn't say it's completely good that they put his blood stained clothes on display. But also his death was a really important part of history and should be treated as such. I think they should be on display, as a reminder that it happened.
I've seen pics of the bloody clothes on display. It's just a paper bag inside a plastic bag. It's not like the clothes are all strewn out to show the blood and bullet holes. I think it's a powerful and effective statement about gun violence and John would have approved.
A reminder of the worst day in history is history. All parts of history is bad and good like the revolutionary war or WWI or WWII those are bad days in history, but if not reminded we will forget and fight about the same thing over and over, making in so history repeats its self. So i say its a good thing that John Lennon's clothes are on display , it's a good idea.

There was also a telephone stand and phone with a sign stating; " if this phone rongs answer it....it's Yoko" If that phone had rung I don't know what I would have said, that was sick to do that!

@suzlbar No. I went to the John Lennon exhibition at the Cleveland Rock nd Roll Hall of Fame a number of years ago. Among the items on display were John's bloody glasses. His clothes were in a brown paper bag still sealed with red police "Evidence" tape. Yoko has never opened the bag, but made a statement accompianing the exhibit to the effectt that she went out that night with the love of her life, and this is all that remains of what was given back to her.

I saw this exhibit and the bloody clothes were NOT on display. There was a brown paper bag that was handed to Yoko from the hospital that did contain his clothes. Unfortunately, that horrible night is part of his story.
When I saw them at the R&R Hall of Fame they were still in the hospital bag sealed in a tall stand with opaque round windows to look in to see it. Didn't know they had moved them.

@suzlbar No. I went to the John Lennon exhibition at the Cleveland Rock nd Roll Hall of Fame a number of years ago. Among the items on display were John's bloody glasses. His clothes were in a brown paper bag still sealed with red police "Evidence" tape. Yoko has never opened the bag, but made a statement accompianing the exhibit to the effectt that she went out that night with the love of her life, and this is all that remains of what was given back to her.

i dont think that it was a step too far for Yoko to put his clothes on display.. its part of the history of John and i think some people would go in there, look at the blood-stained clothes and say 'wow. these very clothes.....they were the last thing anyone saw John in alive'.. theyre part of him and its really cool to think that you can see what he was last in before he died.. im glad that his assassin (whats his name again? i forget) didnt get parole again :D

I saw this exhibit and the bloody clothes were NOT on display. There was a brown paper bag that was handed to Yoko from the hospital that did contain his clothes. Unfortunately, that horrible night is part of his story.
