I got it from wrestling. Both arms. Doctor put me on antibiotics and Muripocin 2% medicine. If your doctor prescribes Ketoconazole, ask him again. Ketoconazole made it worse if anything for me.
I had THIS and Cellulitis on both legs. I didn't have anything other than Calamine lotion, Peroxide, and aspirin. Once i got home to get the prescription written, i had 5 months of this shit till all the scars (with insect bites/stings everywhere) were mostly gone.
i promise you, until you get chance to get antibiotics and even when you do wash the living fuck out of it keep it super super super dry after, hat pussy liquid that leaks from your face WILL spread that shit. Use savlon cream and get straight to the doctors. I also found to help over night, using sudocrem for babys nappy rash worked a treat at keeping it dry and none itchy GOOD LUCK
also, tee tree oil is good, anything anti septic is good as it kills the bacteria, also vinegar and if you got some, vodka, apply that and it kills the bacteria, but you have to do this everyday, bout 3 times a day, and do not itch! tht can spread it to other areas and just makes things worse for you., Its spreads so easy, so always wash your hands, your clothes, your bed stuff and just leave it alone, dont scratch it, let it scab up, keep applying, vokda, tee tree oil, sudacream or vinegar.

I just found out today that I have "Staphus Orius (?)" Impetigo. It really sucks having it on my left index finger. Its between the top part and middle part of my finger, so I cant move my finger without it hurting. Its also on my right eyebrow at the end. Its a really small scab, so I think that the cream the doctor perscribed should do the trick. I can understand how this could be a real delema for some people. I'm just glad it isnt a really serious infection.
