Are you recording in to the mic through the computer? If you want to you can borrow a small mixerboard I have lying around. Then you can record your voice and the guitar at the same time. A good program to use for that is "Audacity".
I did this one with the camera. That´s because the mic is only recording vocals, the guitar isn´t loud enough, and that´s a real problem for me. I can record with the mic and get superb quality but no music...
