that was risky driving that BMW motorcycle in colombia. people would even kill to get there hands on a honda, since alot of the motorcycles there are knock offs.
Another fine production Graham. Really gives us a feel for the road quality, congestion, local flavor; the map gives perspective of distance traveled.
The combination of helmet cam and free hand offers another welcome perspective. Any comments of how the bike is working or equipment failures is always helpful.
Colombia is a great country to travel in; the drive-by shooting did happen but it plays up to Colombia's old reputation which is quite a long way from reality these days.
The bike is fine, it just needs more TLC with the high milegae. I have on-going water pump issues and a broken radiator fan motor but it's expected after so long on the road. The Beema has proven to be very reliable. My only lesson is that technology and zips fail... zip's on my tank bag, warm weather top and tent all broke
these vids Graham are just as others have said- really great- a cross between Ray Mears and ......Forest Gump!..onlyjoking- Really great and a joy to watch- thanks for taking the trouble to edit them so well and share them...Rod
Its like Ray Mears does LWR LOL, love the vids & no I don't know anyone in the BBC but I'm sure that their are plenty of people who would put in a good word for after watching you vids......ever thought of the ABC here in Aussie?!
I like the rest of them in here, are having a ball just watching your vids....cool banana's!
Well done graham, probably the best series of videos on travel and adventure Ive viewed on YouTube, if possible though can spend some time on the equipment your using, tents panniers etc, are you always camping or hostelling.
Bravo! Keep up the good work it is quite inspiring stuff.gareth
The sinks are about two metres either side of the equator, not that far. We also balanced egss on nails which is only possible on the equator... something to do with the yolk being held dead centre.
Excellent production one again. Enjoyed reading your blog on facebook too. And who said Columbia wasn't a friendly place..! That river crossing still scares the crap outa me though.
Wee question...what type of video gear do you use for recording? - Always looks great quality.
I've got three cameras.... VIO POV1 for the helmet cam; a Panasonic AG-HSC1UP camera that shot everything up until the end of Mexico... it then broke but has just been repaired; and I have a cheap JVC for emergencies. All edited using Pinnacle Studio
Graham, another sterling effort, looks like some superb mile munching fun and frollicks. I'm especially liking the Alice band, you look like a footballer! Enjoy you're onward journey, (provided you get Shagira fixed!)
Yep... getting a bit of stick for the Alice band look. It's purely a practical measure you understand. Believe it or not I've blagged a flight to Miami this week so I plan to pick up the parts I need whilst celebrating 4th July :-)

Fantastic. Where ever you end up, and no matter how long you're riding for remember to keep your mouth closed... it fills up with flies mighty fast!
