Metal is the only material specified for swords in the BoM. The Nephites always had the metal sword of Laban, and they made many copies of it (2 Ne. 5:14). The macuahuitl were described by the Spanish as sword-like, but depictions of these weapons during BoM times are clubs or maces. The sword shape didn't come till much later.
When Aztecs copied the Spanish metal sword they called it "tepuzmacquahuitl" to distinguish it from the wooden weapon. BoM writers probably would make a distinction too.
He said there are no coins, but it does say "senine of gold, a seon of gold, a shum of gold, and a limnah of gold", and, "A senum of silver, an amnor of silver, an ezrom of silver, and an onti of silver..." It doesn't say "coins" but it never said they bartered by salt or chickens or anything like it. They use precious metals to traffic and that is clear. Use some common sense. Typical apologist, can't find it in your digs so we assume it's not important. "Digging in the wrong place you are."
A simple reading on the issue would reveal to you that coins were virtually non-existent in the world at the time Lehi left Jerusalem. What was used was a weights and measures system, which is what the scriptures in Alma explain. Please read up on the issue before making ignorant comments.
Thanks! We actually have a video on coins and the BOM. I would post a link, but Youtube won't let me. If you click on our playlist and look for Bible vs Bom rebuttal, it is in there.

Straight from LDS Doctrine. A doctrine you seem to conveniently AVOID!
