  • Can you say HOTT!

  • @BCRconcert You should have put a health warning at the beginning of this video, Eric in shorts and socks could cause a middle aged woman to have heart failure lol Talk about hot and sexy.

  • I remember staying up late and watching this show. I got a pair of leg warmer socks like Eric but I was too chicken to wear them with shorts. I only wore them with long pants. They actually were very popular in the winter time with long pants.

  • Why is Les just standing there and not moving around like he has in other clips? Stoned?

  • I think there were problems within the group at this point...Backstage fights and stuff. That's what was said in the BCR Behind The Music special,at least! Cacilie

  • he's just standing there because he doesn't have the portable microphone! LOL

  • @MB412 Da look how small that stage is.

  • Never noticed how much the music resembled cheap trick- but not as good. They do play great live, way less bubblegum sounding...

  • Was at this taping . They did this song like 5 times. Eric's guitar was LOUD!!!!

  • souds a bit rough around the edges -but kinda hot all the same! Great album Its a game-still playin it all these years later!

  • love the song one of my fav bands of all time

  • Love the hockey socks Eric!!!!!

  • The socks like gay!

  • I guess it takes a virus to know a virus, eh? Im entitled to my opinion here in the United States. The question is are you in a country where you can't state your opinion?

  • ye and your opinion is shit and thats from scotland ya bunch of war mongering fks. our soliers are dying for you cnts

  • @MB412 you seem a little obsessed with gayness maybe the pot calling the kettle black lol

  • @MB412 They're damn hot, just like the rest of him!

  • @joanieloveseric But u didnt answer my question. How comes Les isn't moving? And remember, he confessed to smoking pot when he was w/ the Rollers. So maybe he took a hit or two before going on national TV?

  • you're still the one great band in my heart

    BCR

  • I remember this band, but not ever listening to them, as they looked weird. and every rock rag I read, (Circus and Cream) wrote the off as poseurs.

  • The one thing that the Rollers weren't was posers. Take it from someone who has met them more than once. They were and are the Real thing.

  • @KellieHorn13 Is that like Coca-Cola, lol!;-)(My fav. soda) You are soooo lucky to have met them!!

  • Sigh****

  • I think I have a pair of socks like that that I wear under my scrubs! lol

  • I just can't get enough of Eric's Socks! :-)

  • You just have to Love those Socks!!!

  • brill

  • just awesome...thanks!

  • I was too hormonally charged in 1977 to truly appreciate what good musicians the Rollers were. I am just now rediscovering and really appreciating them after so many years. Thanks for the post

  • Just love, they were GREAT! You got to love them! Well done!

  • Eric did a great job covering Bowie's "Rebel Rebel" on the album. If I remember they dropped the 'Bay City' to just Rollers, to try be taken more seriuosly. I still love them.

  • i LOVED ERIC, BUT WHATS WITH THE SOCKS??? IM SURE I STAYED UP THE NIGHT THIS WAS ON AND CRIED BECAUSE I WAS SO IN LOVE WITH THEM. NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED. HA HA.

  • LOL that is true not much has changed for me either..I loved Woody then and I still think he's adorable!!!!!

  • Any chance of improving the sound on this video?

  • Is Les being coy or was he just uninterested? Loved the video though

  • Just finished reading Les' book, by this album Les could care less. Their manager sucked and ripped them off completely. Read his book, it is very informative as well as sad about what really went on behind the scenes.

  • Brid, Whats the name of it and where can I get it? I would like to see what he has to say about his life with the Rollers

  • The one I have is called "Shang-A-Lang", The Curse of The Bay City Rollers. But I have also heard it referred to as "Shang-A-Lang - My Life as an International Pop Star." I ordered it from Amazon. It was definitely worth the read - very enlightening. I highly recommend it!

  • I just finished reading the book also..I'm waiting for another one to come " Bay City babylon"

  • there was a book?what the name of it?

  • thanks 4 youtube i would of never seen these clips

  • why is les standing still with his hands behind his back on this and the other clips, strange

  • rollers taken seriously, they always played, it was other groups that said they could not play instruments,

  • You can see the string section on the right at 0:58. It's clips such as these that make my mind boggle as to why they weren't taken seriously as musicians more widely. If only they'd been given a similar opportunity in the UK.

  • thats cool! :-) yeah they have a sectin playing with them! very nice! ;-)

  • Actually they have a small string section there with them playing live.

  • it's interesting how this song live seems a lot harder than the studio version. Wonder how it would've sounded without the prerecorded strings? I guess we'll never know.

  • any producer that produced the bay city rollers (except for rock n roll love letter/wouldnt you like it era) sucked the rockin life out of this band...pity too ... cuz they could chug out some good tunes when they were allowed to
