  • I have an iGogreen laptop adapter. It is disappointing to leave my laptop for a period of time, probably over 30 minutes, and return to find that the adapter has turned off and which caused my laptop to shutdown ungracefully. When I turn it back on, I am confronted with "Start Windows Normally" or "Safe Mode." This is not a good thing, vampire or not!

  • I auditioned for recording the Spanish version of this video on Voice123 (Rodolfo Fernandez) and it appears my audition was ranked in 1st place, yet I didn't get the job. I'm just curious if the poster of the video sees this comment, if the project was ever done and if other talent was used, why I ended up not getting it. Thanks!

  • How about providing some real data on the vampire usage instead of just a "scarry" video for the kiddies? I agree there is vampire usage, but you don't provide a single FACT. Show some facts, educate people on which devices left plugged in and turned off actually used, really use significant power, and which one's don't, like cell phone chargers.

  • @rich0319726 They do provide REAL DATA. Instead of going to Youtube to get your education, why don't you actually go to their website and look it up. Or would that be too difficult? Thought so.

  • Good idea dont order from the website. Go to a retailer. They do not offer store credits, return instructions are vague, and they will not refund after 30 days. The product descriptions for items that arent tips are not detailed enough.

  • I've bought a TON of stock in IGO. Their ticker symbol is (IGOI).

  • it's a good point though, every little bit helps. And if you add your little contribution to everyone else's, pretty soon you've got billions of watts saved.

  • lol at hannah montana concert

  • Printers are more vampires of ink than electricity.

  • Sky boxes I've heard can be wasteful. I left mine on the red light setting until I found it used almost as much power as on green light. My dad leaves his computer on overnight as he says the fan makes an annoying rattling noise on start up. I measured the dell computer using how fast the electric wheel turns (making sure fridge/freezer didn't cut in) and it is about 130 watts. We leave printers on because dad said it sucks ink everytime it's switched on.

  • Phone chargers are the least of your worries. My phone charger is cool to the touch when left plugged in and not connected to a phone. I tend to unplug it anyway. Some of those little dc adaptors are warm even though they are not powering anything. I guess if you left 10 of them plugged in you'd be wasting 20 watts - enough to power a light bulb.

  • @TimpBizkit my laptop pulls 15 watts when running. that's none plus nothing. if i shut everything but the computer itself down it pulls 6 watts. 10 if it is running boinc. It's so worth the extra 2 dollars per year.

  • Great video. We liked it so much that shared it on our blog!

  • fun to watch sanctimonious fools get played.

note that electricity is evil, generating oodle-tons of "carbon"! oh, unless some birkenstock-betogged jackass powers his car with it. then it becomes "zero emissions".

onward to new products for the stupid! new causes! how may i genuflect? let me count the ways.

  • @2ndAsstJizzMopper Electricity is simply more efficient around town where you don't have to keep spinning the motor when stopped. It still burns fossil fuels - just less of them around town.

  • Buy a device (from China?), ship from China to the USA and save electricity? Hmm

Plastic, solder and other nasties are in the guts of these "green chargers?" CO2 gets wasted manufacturing & shipping these things from the Far East to the US and then to your house after you drive to and from the store to buy them?

The Web site, servers, magazine ads and computers used to manage this campaign use how much energy?

Is the plastic packaging green? Who is going to recycle these things?

    Really?

  • I agree, but if you're that bothered turn off your computer.

  • iGo is an amazing company, and I'm proud of what they're doing to make our lives easier and help save us money!! Who doesn't want to save more money and be kind to our Earth?

  • According to the calculator on the vampirepowersucks site I'm bleeding almost $200/year

  • I love the spraying blood at the beginning.
