I do like the NSX's styling better than the new vette's and the handling and the fact that it uses an overhead cam engine (other hondas are crap by the way just the NSX is good; S2000 not bad); that being said one thing I don;t like about the NSX is that for 90 grand its waayyyyyyyyy underpowered dude lol; I mean 300HP? thats it? My 2007 STI is 330HP; but the NSX is composed of alluminum; and very reliably built; so a Super charged NSX would be a wise choice; better than the vette overall
@Harutmakina I can agree with some of what you said, except all other hondas are crap....
I had a 92 integra LS from 2001 - 2008 and it had 201,000 miles on it when i bought it (2nd owner from family member), and all the previous repairs were brakes and a rusted exhaust pipe.. A few years after i bought it i replaced a muffler and the brakes.. So when i sold my 16 year old honda it had 306,000 miles and a shorter service record than most 3 year old cars...
@Harutmakina Also the 2007 STI has around 290 - 300 HP stock, so are you comparing a modified STI with another car that is stock? The STI weighs in at a little over 3200 Lbs, while the NSX weighs 2800Lbs.. Yes the NSX is pretty expensive, but a T-bone steak costs more than a big mac as well.. And my wife has a 2003 Subaru Legacy that visits the tool box more than any car i've seen in my life, almost reminiscent of a Chevy Cavilier or Dodge Neon..
@honda2363 Honda is a good car if you're raising a family; will last you forever and saves gas; but for performace; I prefer STI Supra GTR RX7 NSX etc. I just really hate front wheel drive. Comparing a STI to a NSX is like comparing a T-bone steak to a New York strip bro; not a big mac. My ride pulls a 13.5 on QM; handles like a M3 or better; and stops on a dime with the Brembos that it comes with; and The tranny is bullet proof 6 spd; honestly bro my ride perfroms no less than any stock NSX
@Harutmakina The japanese government puts severe severe limitation on their HP outputs, which is why most of their "supercars" are so under powered and only top out at less than 300 hp. But than again you're right about the price, at best it should top out at 60,000-70,000, who knows though perhaps the quality of materials inside and out might warrant their crazy price.
NSX is simply amazing. It's not about how fast this car does, but every bit of thing that honda did to manufacture this car. But seriously, if it wasn't for that stupid 280 restriction, this car wouldve been faster than most sports/super cars out there today.
Just be thankful NSX has stopped production, because if it ever had a succesor, all of today's supercar will look like shit and will eat dust... NSX was and will ever be the best handling car ever made, The Mclaren F1 was designed base on the NSX, and the designer begged honda to make the engine of the Mclaren... The cars of today was the result of the NSX of yesterday, so instead of comparing it to today's technology, just pay respect to the car that started it all, pay respect to legendary NSX
this what i think is so great about japanese tuning....they care about other stuff like suspension...unlike people on united state....POWER>>POWER!! and lets run straight...
@BerliozT check out the FORD gt-1000 at theMoscow Unlim 500.The ford gt smoked everyone. lambo ,ferrari and porche. The ford gt-1000 is pushing 1100 hp on TT. Its a awesome car and european cars are having a hard time competing with this beast on the drag or the track.
@castersen13 they made the mclaren f1 that mercedes piece of shit similar to the cars you named. They alll tried to make it like the nsx. its a fact not a guess.
@RTSxBMWM3xLDR19 Nop, i just dont think there is much "hotness" about a half naked chick in the middle of a racing track. She was completely unnecessary there and looked very awkward.

Everybody arguing about old NSX's compared to new Vettes, well the old NSX is a more sophisticated car bumper to bumper than todays Vettes.. Think about it, not until recent years did the Vette offer an aluminum chassis, also the words technology and pushrod engine are never to be used in the same sentence.. Its a shame american car owners think power is everything....period, and forget refinement...
@honda2363 you ever watch racing, nsx sucks and vettes rule the world in competition so point proven that sometimes a sophisticated car doesn't always mean a better car, dont get me wrong i'm a honda lover myself (as i own a turboed integra gsr), but vettes will smoke any japanese car ever made
@jbreen007 I think its clear a vette will smoke an NSX, that wasn't my point at all.. My point is, who would rather sit behind the wheel of a vette every day knowing some guy on the assembly line named Jim Bob could have spit his copenhagen behind the door panel before attaching it with a hammer? And I agree with most of what you said except a vette will smoke any japanese car.. What about Nissan GTR? Thats one...
@jbreen007 believe me, if the 280hp restriction in japan never existed, the NSX would of had around 450-460 hp. and Vettes rule the world? a comparison in 1991, showed the Acura NSX to be faster then the ZR1. on the track, and 0-60.
and about the thing about vetttes "smoking any japanese car ever made". in a comparison test. the 2012 GTR beat the Z06 Carbon the G test, Lap test, AND the 1/4. and the 2011 GTR beat the ZR1's lap time on the Nurburgring.
@ScarButta 91 nsx=5.2 0-60 91 zr1= 4.8 0-60, how is the nsx faster? i personaally would love to own a nsx, it is a supercar that you could live with, i love vettes too though. i think if nsx where about 50 grand they would have been a big hit, but they where closer to 100 grand and for that money you can get a 911 in the 1990's and lets be honest, the 911 is the alltimate everyday supercar.
@honda2363 I love the NSX but don't diss the vette. Yes the NSX is a tribute to hondas amazing engineers but despite the vette not being as "refined" it's performance speaks for itself. Power is not everything; but handling, power, torque, power delivery, modification potential, reliability and even gas mileage are all things the vette has in spades. It's "primitive" pushrod engine makes 436HP yet still gets more MPGs than the honda. Give respect where respect is due.
@BlueAvenue22 nsx ended in 2005, it wasnt until recently that we all started noticing the 21mpg to 28-35 average. So unless your looking at corvettes during the nsx time i think you should rephrase what you say.
@honda2363 Yes, the NSX was an impressive supercar at the time and still is an amazing handler..it has aged well. But technology ebbs and flows with the time and OHC does not a sophisticated car make. The old ZR1 in 1990 used a DOHC all aluminum motor yet it now uses a more efficient, more powerful, smaller and lighter engine which happens to be an OHC. And in regards to efficiency and technology, the Chevrolet Volt is more advanced than anything Honda has made or does make.
@2003SCT DOHC can't ever be considered "less advanced"
Why GM uses OHC in the Vette is really a mystery, nearly all cars today are DOHC because simply put...it's less parts to fu?ck up... But by no means do i feel the Vette is garbage, it's just that in defending the NSX (my preference) in other comments, i got a bit harsh on it... It's a great car, but it wouldn't suffer in ANY way by acquiring a DOHC engine.
@honda2363 The fact is, americans never knew how to build good cars, and they never will. Racing is just not in their blood. They think they is, and try to act like it is (with their nascar and similar bullshit) but its not. Look at their 100 meter wide straight roads...and compare the with roads in europe...or japan...Americans dont have "the thing" in them to build cars, most of them dont know anything about cars, and cant tell why, say, Mercedes is better than Buick. Its just a fact.
@derbigpr500 I'm all about the Japanese cars (currently own an R32 Golf ), but in the event of a post apocalyptic world, I'd want a 60's-late 70's muscle car, why? good power & torque, tough, if you know what you're doing you can make em handle just fine (having said that I'd rather race with a Honda or Subaru), parts are virtually universal so mechanical repairs in a world where parts are scarce would be much easier, no electronics (the longevity bane of modern cars)
@honda2363 American cars of today are primitive compared to european and asian cars. American motorsports is primitive as well.... i mean, just compare Nascar and F1.... F1 is literally 50 years ahead in technology. Most engineers that work in Nascar would think they're watching am SF documentary if they saw the presentation of F1 technology. American cars are ugly, badly made, have TERRIBLE interiors and no style whatsoever, they're nasty to drive, look at and sit it.
@honda2363 And the worst thing about american cars is...they've been cursed with nurburgring...for some reason, americans think that developing their cars to be as fast as possible at nurburgring is gonna make them better, which is so very wrong... corvette and cts-v were developed to be fast at nurburgring...they used computers to set them up. You know what BMW uses to set their cars up? Engineers. Feel. No computers, no stopwatches, thats why they're called "ultimate driving machines".
@derbigpr500 "ultimate driving machines" is a self proclaimed slogan, setting up a car to perform on the road, rather than some engineer's theoretical ideas is a FAR from perfect approach (unless you want to design a car to be a comfortable ride, rather than for performance). Nurburgring is the one track globally that best represents real roads in the real world, so if you want to design a car for optimum performance in the real world, Nurburgring is the way to go.
@honda2363 When i was visiting america last year, i rented a new caddy cts, with a basic v6 engine, I expected it to be great, i expected it would feel somewhat like german saloons. But it felt nothing like it. Steering was very vague, unresponsive and slow. Throttle reaction was bad, brakes had no feel whatsoever, seat position is far from perfect, buttons scattered all over, with no logic, ride was hard, but yet, car felt heavy trough corners...no way to compare it with anything from europe.
you can mod a car for big power, but the most satisfaction comes from suspension work. I did power first, and now I regret it. I just swapped in a set of lowering springs on standard shocks and some subframe collars. You wouldn't think such basic, even amateur mods would do anything, but the old 'line is a real hoot to drive now. Suspension is where it's at.
Pretty much all of you got it wrong. It's not about masturbating over power, or displacement, or torque, or whatever. These are different cars, with different engines, from different manufacturers, with a different philosophy. PERIOD.
I wish all the American's would stop Rantning and Bringing Corvettes into this. The point we are making is that Honda can get Alot of Power from a Small engine. Where as the American's have to put a 6L V8 in. End of discussion. HONDA FTW
I have an 1989 honda CRX vtec + and 1996 Honda Integra Type R track day car.. both of which would Arse Rape that POS mustang of yours around a race track anyday.. you see cuz thats why i love honda's they do not blow up like your shit box V8's do like i see happen so often on track day, My father and I spent 1 year fully rebuilding a 1977 Corvette Stingray 5.7L gen1 v8, blood red, full ivory leather interior, engine @ 380HP. for style..
@pswmetalmonkey my type r blew up thanks to fuel cut which sucked cuz the motor and trans were really healthy but on the other hand I got a 01 camaro z28 and I blew the clutch pack but I guess that's what I get for buying an automatic back to a civic, 240sx, or evo for me lol and someday I will have my supra
Nice vids of your first car... o wait. You don't have any. Plus yes, I wouldn't plan on my car beating a NSX on the same day hell froze over. The NSX uses a real engine, DOHC 4 valve with advanced water-cooling. Not VTEC vTEC Vtec i-VTEC. or what ever your little jap piece of shit is called this week. hence not caring about cars that are slower than mine. please kill yourself.
@idontknow5858 thats problebly you never pushed it hard enough, ofcourse turning at 20 mph your not gonna feel anything, take your car to a real track and compare you times to some imports....

American cars are ugly, badly made, have TERRIBLE interiors and no style whatsoever, they're nasty to drive, look at and sit it.
derbigpr500 7 months ago 3
@honda2363 And the worst thing about american cars is...they've been cursed with nurburgring...for some reason, americans think that developing their cars to be as fast as possible at nurburgring is gonna make them better, which is so very wrong... corvette and cts-v were developed to be fast at nurburgring...they used computers to set them up. You know what BMW uses to set their cars up? Engineers. Feel. No computers, no stopwatches, thats why they're called "ultimate driving machines".
derbigpr500 7 months ago 3
@derbigpr500 "ultimate driving machines" is a self proclaimed slogan, setting up a car to perform on the road, rather than some engineer's theoretical ideas is a FAR from perfect approach (unless you want to design a car to be a comfortable ride, rather than for performance). Nurburgring is the one track globally that best represents real roads in the real world, so if you want to design a car for optimum performance in the real world, Nurburgring is the way to go.
darthjader08 4 months ago
@darthjader08 The nsx r was the first road car that broke the 8min lap time at Nurbugring.
abec666 3 months ago
@abec666 No, it wasn't the first, but it was the first production car under $300,000 that did so, and it held that distinction for 6 years.
darthjader08 3 weeks ago
@derbigpr500 p.s. - the downfall of European cars is that while they're well engineered, they're horribly designed.
darthjader08 4 months ago
@honda2363 When i was visiting america last year, i rented a new caddy cts, with a basic v6 engine, I expected it to be great, i expected it would feel somewhat like german saloons. But it felt nothing like it. Steering was very vague, unresponsive and slow. Throttle reaction was bad, brakes had no feel whatsoever, seat position is far from perfect, buttons scattered all over, with no logic, ride was hard, but yet, car felt heavy trough corners...no way to compare it with anything from europe.

I'm simply shooting down the trolls that shouldn't comment on what they don't like. I don't watch videos with V-8 powered chevettes and rag on them...

you can mod a car for big power, but the most satisfaction comes from suspension work.

HONDA FTW
