  • R.I.P. dave schultz

  • i used to watch nhra on speed every morning with my dad. fuck espn

  • her tone seems forced. even for up northerns

  • Force was a BEAST in the 90's and early 2000's. Imagine if they weren't racing 1000' and all the rule changes... They'd be in the 4.40's right now in Funny Car.

  • 4.40's in Fc......no chance maybe 4.60/s on a regular basis

  • I believe rule changes were added in the early 2000's to slow the cars down when Funny Cars were breaking the 4.70's barrier and Top Fuelers were hitting low 4.40's...

Weight additions, Nitro % change, rev limiters, etc... The cars slowed approx 0.2 sec, but performance slowly increased once again.

I may compromise and say FC would run 4.50's regular, but technology always prevails in drag racing. That's why I believe we would have seen 4.40's in FC by now, and God knows in TF! YIKES!

  • With rev limiters and all the extra weight i just dont see any 40's by a f'c

  • Robert Hight ran 4.636 in 2007... years AFTER the cars were slowed by approximately 0.2 sec. You can't tell me technology would not have these cars running 4.50's & 4.60's consistently and probably have broken the 4.40's barrier IF the cars were never slowed in the earlier 2000's!

  • luv them song xd

  • gotta love the pro stocks!

  • god those firebird-body funnycars were UGLY!

  • EPLER WEWT!

  • where the hell has tom martino been lately?

  • these were the days.

  • hahaha

  • who the hell is tony mullien

  • That was Force's 11th win of that year, and career win number 81, For Smith, it was his 1st win since 1993 (Sears Point), and what more can you say about Larry Dixon.

  • Dave Schultz, there's a guy that's missed. :(

  • When did Schultz retire?

  • He retired sometime around the middle of the 2000 season and won his last race while going through chemo. He and John Meyers were the two dominant guys of Pro Stock through the 90's and sadly both are gone. :(

  • Then when did John Smith retire? Didn't he compete in top fuel 2?

  • John Smith retired in 2003. He is living in Minnesota and never drove a top fueler. I acctually just saw him last week.

  • Different John Smith

  • damn right. Dave Schultz was a great rider and guy. The best pro stock bike rider of all time
