I work as a marshal and yes this guy made a mistake but all these people taking the piss have no idea. Race control would have been saying get the track cleared quickly. The job is not as easy as it looks and sometimes people make mistakes

It should have been a red flag - if the track can't be cleared under the constraints of a safety car then a red flag must be used.....and it should have most certainly been used after that near miss. All of the marshals were behaving stupidly there.

Despite the embarrassing slip, these guys are doing a good job of quickly dealing with debris allowing the race to continue. Any driver who would like to see us refuse to go on circuit and would prefer a red flag for every incident, press the right pedal now!
