I agree with what your saying but the music does have an appeal and influence though. With that people that blame rap itself gotta realize that alot of the subject matter in rap existed before rap came about & that it's also glorified in this society as a whole. Some people who blame & hate rap are the same ones who love watching violent movies, pornography, commit violent acts, are very sexist, degrade women, ect. Just my two cents. As one who has been living in NYC and been a part of Hip Hop culture since I was four (in 1978), I appreciate what you guys are doing with this show. The conversation is important. Sometimes you hear the garbage today and as much as I told myself I would never take a dump on anybody's music, you wonder where we went wrong. I'm just hopeful that somewhere there are kids who are studying real MCs and are ready to bring it back.

Hip hop is truly the greatest art form ever created. The language skills clearly have improved the English language. The world is a better place because of Hip Hop. 1000's of people of color now have their own private language. Hip Hoppers can now start their own Brave New World. How wonderful it will be!

He's saying Eminem won't be more prominent in retrospect, and that it won't be history because it will be downloaded up to date online, no books written about it.

This could have been a very profitable exchange, but then the Caucasian participants remained true to their community on the Eminem issue.
"Their will be NO Hip Hop History" and "Eminem is just another rapper that happens to be White"
The Black panelist should have ended the exchange RIGHT THEN AND THERE, because the Caucasians were not engaging in an HONEST dialogue.
