one of the only (infact, the ONLY) good rock songs dealing w the 9/11. That's MITs WALKER MEMORIAL BUILDING at the beginning and throughout- WMBR radio- where John vanderslice filmed after a radio interview. "you said this would never happen; it DID!"
I saw John Vanderslice play in a converted home in Salt Lake city Utah. Basically it was a backyard show. He was amazing. I at the time didnt know what I was in store for. I loved it. Thanks Utah. Thanks John.
Can someone please tell me why this song doesn't have more views? It's AMAZING!!! I love the part where he sings "You said it would happen and just like that, it did"
I discovered this song on a CD insert in Spin Magazine called "Different Names for the Same Thing". I saw this title on the track list and was instantly drawn to it. I instantly fell in love with it.
that is a shot of MIT's WMBR, one of the best rock stations in the country. Perhps JV had just been interviewed. It's the bldg that looks like East Germany. I follow JV like he be the Greatful dead
Song of deep mystery and wonder with a reference or 2 to that 9-11 thang. "an hour went by without a fighter in the sky" Dance dance revolution...

I'm a real musician, and most indie music is really bad. But this is so fantastic.

I wish this wasn't his only video. And, I wish it had enough of a budget to reflect what it's really about, which is 911...
