  • Those Crown Vics get beat like that every single day, and they just keep going like nothing is wrong.

  • lol dhatt motor going aint idd lol but dhatt how my chevy sub. sound when i take dhatt rpm up to 5 lol

  • FUCK RALEIGH POLICE DEPARTMENT!!!!

  • @jpm7018 I believe u r C.P. material

  • Turns like a boat, listen to those wheels.

  • @BrooneyH2V All tires squeal at their limits and it's supposed to push the front end like that. You let off the accelerator to stop the front-end from pushing. A lot of the Police Interceptor Crown Vis also have limited-slip rear differentials to keep the inside rear tire from lighting up when accelerating out of a turn, thus aiding in controlling the rear end from breaking lose. That just causes one to lose speed and control, which is contrary to what they're trying to achieve.

  • fuck the police

  • the 4.6 sounds so BEAST

  • FTP

  • EUh........says Caprice bla bla bla etc...All i see is a old Ford making a lot of noise.....

  • Holy Shit! If those donut-fed girls can drive them lo-tech lumps of American iron like that, you just have to I wonder how they'd do in one of them quick European cars with a stick shift. (On the other hand, steering AND changing gear at the same time is probably gonna be too much brainwork for the old girl in this video.)

  • @SeriallySpeaking although you are right about the cop cars being waaaaaay to big and not turning very well i didnt get the stick shift remark its not that hard to drive stick you hit your gear before you hit your turn you have to slow down before you are there not while you are turning that will never work so you realy shuould only be shifting and turning a small pecent of the time and even if you do it regularly its still not that hard

  • I would to drive a former police car someday to do tricks.

  • @Thinker669 Weelll you'll just have to wait until you can reach the pedals won't you now...

  • i got a ticket for doing this same thing

  • @adsfo Was you in a car at the time, or was you just on your skate-board in some kind of public place, like in a park or a library, 'cos I know there are ordinances against that.

  • Towards the end was alittle sloppy, could have used the Foot Brake in some of those corners to help throw the weight.

  • Is this a joke ? Are they really policemen ?

  • and this is why you dont buy a police car

  • That would confuse the hell out of me. The tri state area (NJ NY PA) all treats BLUE as a COURTESY color for volunteer firefighters and emts that drivers are legally NOT obliged to stop for. You only have to STOP for RED, and YIELD to BLUE if possible. If I didn't know that and a slicktop nc cop tried to stop me, hed have to hit his siren before I knew it wasn't a volunteer ff or emt.

  • Where are the red lights!?

  • @DasMidnightDrifter North Carolina has only blue (Federal Lights) now. EMT and Fire are still red though but all police are all decked out blue..

  • @Boeing4801 What the heck, that's strange as hell. Here in the Tri-State area, blue is a courtesy color for volunteer firefighters and EMTs that you do NOT need to stop for. If I didn't know that and an NC unmarked car tried to stop me, he'd probably have to hit his siren before I realized it was a cop on my six and not a volunteer. In NJ-NY-PA, you only need to stop for red. Period.

  • Has some understeer. but I have to say looks like an older (99) crown vic. Love those things, what a shame their being put to rest :/

  • I would like to do that drive test that look fun

  • thumbs UP if you love the sound of that engine!!!!!!

  • I watched my father do this kind of training before he switched to another department. These officers have some bad ass driving skills, thats for sure!

  • Why do they make their police use these awful cars? They should do like we do in England and get BMW, Volvo, perhaps not Vauxhall lol, but seriously they are much faster in persuit situations because they handle well and feel more direct and responsive, as opposed to soft and wallowy. Also a small point(which im sure many in the states dont care about), they are better on fuel. Perhaps they are more expensive, but it shouldn't come down to money when you're trying to protect people.

  • @montg2perfection Because those cars are really expensive here, especially when you consider how many the police departments would have to buy. Plus there's the matter of the need to stimulate the local economy by buying domestic cars. And something just seems off about having American police driving non-American cars.

  • @montg2perfection when the shit gets hot, we bring out the chargers

  • @DerrickForLife By hot, he means on fire. Those Chargers burst in the flames.

  • @montg2perfection yeah but would be strange if the police in the US uses european cars; would be like we use a crown vic ^^

I Think the police services first takes car that are produced in their own country (or area): Like Bavarian State Police using mostly BMW 3 and 5 series and some Volkswagen Touran and T5, The German Federal Police again uses mostly Mercedes and so on

  • @montg2perfection Yeah, imagine how much it is to replace them and the parts too everytime you wreck

  • aww, I thought they'd have to parallel park at the end there :)

  • is that General Lee?

  • lol thats all cops have to do? no wonder they wreck thier cars everyweekend in my city.

  • lol their so slow.

  • catch me if you can, cop!

  • he almost tipped

  • WTB more bodyroll. Atleast slap a struttower bar on those, it makes a huge difference

  • I wish I could open up a tire store next door

  • I have seen containerships turn faster than that :)

  • lot of under steer in p71s

  • Reminds me of autoXing the Evo except this thing body rolls like no other!!

  • damn, this is the head of the driving program? Makes wonder how well id accel in this position. Check out my video's in my 2002 mustang GT.

  • i mean look how slow it makes the turns, you should try a turbo charged volvo or a bmw 540 in usa,you catch more bad guys...

  • @chuckanders i dont think the usa will buy bmw for they patrol car.. parts are too uch expensive and they cost will be to expensive for them to change car every 3 years and .in my city they tried the volvo turbo charged in 2000 those car almost all died the first years 1//4 in crash and 3/4 was too expensive to fix turbo failure, dead engine ,Broken transmistion and soo on...they are fast yeah. but still like 04 mickels said notting can out run a radio

  • hahahahaha it like driving a hamock, american cars.......

  • @chuckanders Foreign cars have nothing on American. America does everything better.

  • God I love that Fucking roar that comes out of that V8 4.6L but they are not making them anymore this was the last year they made them now they are being replaced by Ford Police Interceptors with 3.5L V6's with optional twin turbo.

  • @pearldrumsarecool i dont think they will order the option twin turbo maybe for spécial pursuit unit whit the awd.turbo will be too hard on the engine and on the repair fleet budget but i hope im wrong cause i love the look of the 'new look of the police interceptor it look like the Fvp F6

  • I love that sound a P71 makes when you floor it...

  • I still don't understand why police uses these cars, look at the body roll.

  • @noskid7 What you want them to use? Civics? LOL This car is the most stable platform since the Caprice

Its a big heavy powerfull boat meant to go fast and survive a few rounds of bumper cars for when crazy felon decides hes not going to stop right away

So yeah, what would be an appropriate vehicle for police to use?

OH btw have you ever driven one of these?

  • @mattmatt115 Well, they started replacing them with chargers. I don't quite understand why they haven't replaced ALL of them. Chargers scare the shit out of everyone.

  • @noskid7 The Chargers are not as good as the vics.

Suspension components are wearing out fast, drivetrain is not service duty, its civilian duty

The interior is modified for a fully suited cop, where as Chevy's new Caprice is designed around the occupant. Check it out its pretty nasty

But the Charger is not good, especially the city police. Highway patrol with the 5.7 are quick though

  • @mattmatt115 yeaa these cars are perfect have you seen the chargers their good to. but i want you to look up the newest P71 in the police field. Carbon Motors E7. All The Lights Are Integrated Into The Design So Their Is Less Drag On The Car, Unlike The P71 Which Has The Light Bar. The Inside Control Panel Touchscreen And Voice Compatible. The Back Seat Is Made Of Reinforced Plastic And Closed Off From The Front Part Of The Car. So If The Suspec Decides To Urinate ON Him Self It Wont Leak To

  • @mattmatt115 The Front. It Has A Diesel Engine. It Has Already Been Ordered By Some Major Police Departments.

  • @Lieutenant1001 I've been looking at the E7 for some time now. Everything in it is amazing. It will revolutionize police work.

  • wow to become a cop you have to do all that :0

  • This is worst car for pursuit ever i see but engine sounds perfect.

  • man they really put a good abusing on these cars LOL

  • I hate that dude! Not really, but I do wish I could drive like that! 5/5! For plain, out right SKILL!

  • wig wag lights rules!!!

  • hehehe yea i was taught by one of the best in Raleigh.. since then i was voted best driver in safety, and in stunts by pretty much my entire school hahaha i win..

  • fuck u pig!

  • i hope they have faster shit than that u could run in a prius

  • Dam he is good

  • the Ford P71 Crown Vic has 250hp and is a little quicker than that. oh and find another stock vehicle that will take 24hrs/7days/+ 200,000miles of abuse without falling apart

  • @ paper 102 in NC the police car is retired at 70,000 miles and sold to the public

  • @lukkreung18 SC is a little poorer, been known to run over 150,000miles

  • Crown vics are so fucking slow. with only 235hp and a 0-60 time of 8.7 seconds Im surprised they catch anyone.

  • its called the police supercharger. they have them modded so the can accelerate ten million times quicker than stock

  • @JoshChadwick what about the dodge charger i've been seein a lot of them on the road as law inforcement vehicles

  • Yeah their fast ass hell. But not much room in them as the crown when you got all of the PDs gear in their. Also I hear couple of the taller guys complain about them. Dont bother me im only 5'8

  • @JoshChadwick yea I know . it is painful watching this. The Caprice 94-96 is where it is at. The Clown Slicks are slow

  • @tooslow01

HAHA Clown Slicks!!!!! NICE!!!! will remember that one!!!

  • ...or how to keep a Ford on the road.

  • i did this in my sho... i raced a police interceptor and learned i can smoke a cop in handling and accel

  • Damn good driving. J-turn BEAUTYFULL.

  • wow.. love my 2 negative points.. atleast im the one seeing the world differently from inside the police cars :D if you hate cops.. dont bother dialing 911 because they are the first to show up...

  • @bpdexplorer129nc actually no, the fire trucks are the first to respond

  • @xRAMxDOD Your looking at a police video talking about the fire department. If you've been rob, shot at, or being held hostage the fire department isn't the first to respond. Any emergency service are the first to respond, and people are the first to bitch. Oh I got a ticket, boo hoo. But please catch that person who robbed me. Or, I had to pull over so the fire truck could go by, or it made me miss that light. But please floor it if it's my house on fire.

  • @bpdexplorer129nc you only have negative 2?

  • @bpdexplorer129nc Not really, fire is first on the scene of a general call, then us boys in EMS, then you worthless guys show up. :) Just kidding.

  • to catch the bad guy

  • good drifting i wanna drive a police car

  • He wasn't really drifting

  • Dang I wanna become a cop now lol...

  • awesome, Great driving skills!!!

  • perfect J-turn

  • @whatfield2232 Those are so fun

  • thanks for the comment i love all my fans

  • You see some kid in a car that speeds past you thinking you wont catch em... stop the car and put that thing in reverse and floor and do a complete J-Turn.. just watch the kids eyes pop out of his skull and now he knows he just went past the wrong cop lol

  • lmao ya know

  • pretty nice move they should teach that for driver's ed...remember kids, speed kills

  • KPD's finest......at a Raleigh demo

  • They catch me every time I run!

  • i want to see the video of the car before this one that knocked over all the cones! lol

  • That was a hell of a J-turn.

  • never vics are much stiffer..this thing is most probaly a 1998 or 1999.. atleast 1 of the 2 because after 1999 they do not have chrome strips at the taillights anymore ;)

  • Freekin Great and that car sounds so good.

  • gatta love the sound of those vics :D

  • Don't get why any cops are trained to do this... sure, we're trained to drive like stuntmen, but we will never be in such safe, controlled conditions. When was the last time you saw a cop do a J-turn in a pursuit?

  • I can't say I've seen one do a J-turn, but I have seen an officer that literally drifted through an intersection chasing a guy. I had a front row seat as I was the first person at the light. And I live in NC.

  • Yes sir

  • Comment removed

  • I was in a high-speed vehicle pursuit through neighborhood streets, and I caught the suspect because of training like this. The suspect ended up crashing his BMW into a tree.

  • THis guy is a great driver, especially in such a pig of a car. I wonder how the other cops did though...

  • You failed.

  • Really?

    What did I fail at?

  • @SeriallySpeaking Honestly idk haha. I don't remember leaving this comment.

  • it just goes to show you that even a full size sedan that was NOT designed to be driven like that CAN be driven like that

  • to hard tires XD

  • suck, my car handles better

  • Go Smurfs!!

  • who is that starsky and hutch? good grief that would be awesome to be in that car. he should join the highway patrol...their the best in the state.

  • lol vic handling.. but it looks like its an 1998 1999 model... trust me 2008/9's dont tilt like dat

  • the head of the officer training program should know the passenger window should be up for safety, it was halfway open the whole time. DUmbass policeman are supposed to be protecting us goddammit, and he was putting that innocent passengers life at risk. The passenger didnt know anyfucking better!!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!!!

  • Whoa boy, hold off on the crack a little k?

  • WOW ! THATS COOL !

  • Crown Vic police=DOG. loud for nothing, sloppy transmission, rattling hoods and bumpers, very poorly assembled. NOTHING tops the 94-96 9C1 LT1 Police Chevy Caprice. In fact, the 9C1 embarrased the 5.0L police mustang on Michigans State Police Vehicle Tests!!

  • I have to disagree with that. The reason I got my vic in the first place was because my old 9C1 fell apart. Both are government issue cars, and both are made by the lowest bidder possible.

  • he almost flipped his car goin around those turns look at the body tilt

  • yeah or it's just the sloppy prehistoric suspension.

  • the cones didnt look a bit nervous with that Vic Pilot.

  • Ok, I make it easier. Immunity is when an officer acts with in the scope of his/her employment. Code 3 means 10 to 15 MPH over the posted speed limit, not 30 or 40 MPH.

  • yeah, youre right about that. i work EMS and we try to stay under 15 over no matter what. but ive seen cops on capitol blvd going 80 code 3, so i guess they're "above the law"

  • That guy must already had been on the force or he spent his youth stunt diving.anyway superb driving.

  • V8 roar!!!!

  • driving? ya mean boat sailing? lol. man i loves me some crown vic

  • fuck dem pussy ass rpd crackers

  • Damn good driving

  • Patrol the streets while drift.

  • lol handeling and classic hand brake turns

  • the sad part is almost everything on the road can out run cop cars on a autox course, that was not impressive, it actually makes running look like a good idea

  • True but nothing can out run the radio!

  • lol motorolas haul ass

  • head of the driver training program, yet he can't navigate an autox course layout. Makes sense to me.

  • understeer...

  • two of them live down the street from me-.-

  • since that beast has massive understeer, you have got to hang the ass out a little to square up those corners, otherwise that was fuckin' awsome (from a cop anyway) :)

  • all us cars have understeer well most of them so the only thing u can do is hang the back out a lot lol

  • Reminds me of my Naval boat-docking days. The land-yacht school of high performance driving!

  • Hey I resemble that remark! LOL Chief here always tells us to drive like white men unless we're trying to be first at the scene of the crash.

  • I used to be a volunteer firefighter, which by the way did not give me the right to speed, but I can say that when there is an emergency that the adrenaline can cloud the mind and judgment of the most conservative driver causing him or her to make poor decisions.

As for the "careless and reckless" driving by law enforcement when there is no emergency, well that's just something you have to get used to.

Like it or not, along with the badge comes immunity, no matter how much they deny it.

  • There are no immunities when one deviate from the norm of the day. Badge or no badge, the law of common sense dictates what is immunity.

  • What?

  • cool

  • Sadly, this happens everywhere - RPD is not immune. It was particularly bad in Miami when I was growing up. I have seen it very little here in the 10+ years we have lived here.

  • Anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than you is a maniac!

  • @brianamarks Yeah, Miami hasn't gotten any better, just to let you know.

  • this is a cakewalk compared to the NYPD drivers training!

  • This isn't the training - this is just one maneuver. They train for weeks with hundreds of maneuvers. It's impossible to judge one against the other based on this video.

  • good point. Four weeks is alot and I didnt know there was more.

  • Hey, do they train at the SHP facility on Tryon?

  • I believe so, but primarily their own facility shown here.

  • sound like v6 3.1L

  • no,it's a V8.4L.6

  • All those slow, deliberate manuevers remind me of a 747 on final into Toncontin!

  • Reminds me of Superbad

  • American car=TANK.

  • Classic rental car autocross!

Sweet J-turn but I had to lower the volume, that 4-speed transmission hunting was grating on my nerves.

  • Lol. Its painful watching such a fat car taking turns like that. Allright driver though. Cops would do much better if they drove Mazda RX7s ;)

  • Try ramming a typical SUV off the road in a RX7 hehe

  • If he had the MIGHTY CAPRICE LT-1, he would have hard time controlling the car.The main reason is more power and torque than the crown vic. As you see, every time he turns and accelerate, he does not lose control. As with the CAPRICE, he would be all over the track spining widely. The CAPRICE is 260 horespower with 330 foot pound of torque. Now you know why he has control of the crown vic which has only 210 to 250 horespower depending on the year.

  • Very good driver and good handling crown victoria. I drive the police crown vic with many upgrade electronics and suspension. Very well done

  • I didn't expect a 5000+lb car to handle that well, even with the upgraded suspention.

    Well done.

  • Interesting demonstration. The police version of the Crown Vic has an upgraded suspension as well as other components upgraded. I cannot imagine a stock Crown Vic doing these same manuevers or at least not as easily. Of course, the other thing is that the driver knows what he is doing. The Crown Vic is still a very large, heavy automobile and not a sports car.

  • Bigger Brake rotors. Suspension and an oil cooler
