  • Always the ham that Micky Dolenz...Mike! Mike! Mike!I found Holly and Mistletoe...

  • Mike is such a cutie! I've always loved him :)

  • It's commonly known as........poison ivy! LOL

  • I <3 Mike! Though he was trying to chop the tree in the middle... lol

  • This is my absolute favorite Monkee moment of all time. And one of my favorite lines/moments of all time. I am not even sure why but every time I hear or even think about Micky and the "holly and mistletoe" and Mikes reaction I laugh painfully for a few minutes. I dont know why but I still laugh every time and I saw it for the first time over 20 years ago.

  • Eddie, wasn't he on Bewitched also?

  • a big tree for 10 dollars? wow! last year we bough a small tree for 40! man i wish i lived in the 60's! damn why was i born in the 90's?

  • Hahahaha people didn't think green in 67 did they??

  • Trivia: they're singing Deck the Halls with lines taken from Walt Kelly's classic comic strip "Pogo Possum", who, with the other creatures of the Okefenokee Swamp, could never get the words right - so it came out like this:

Deck Us All with Boston Charlie,

    Walla Walla, Wash. an' Kalamazoo!

    Nora's freezin' on the trolley

    Swaller dollar cauliflower, Alley-garoo!

  • Oh My God!!!! I LOVE The Monkees and I'm 13...

Davy is my favorite but they are all SO hot! :)

    I Love You Davy!

    I Love You Mike!

    I Love You Peter!

    I Love You Micky!

    ~Love Robyn Perry!~

  • Eddie munster sure gets around...

  • @Puzsst Yes, it is Eddie Munster without his Munster make-up and costume.

  • yes, The Monkees were much funier. I wish they would run their episodes again. Big Time Rush. I know why they call them that. They Rushed the show on the air before they thought it through....

  • haha my dad told me, as my little sister was watching Big Time Rush, that he thinks the people that wrote big time rush watched this show. i now see why he thinks that haha...but these people are much better just saying haha

  • I love the Monkees! I wish they would air episodes again.

  • @rockerdave43: I'm only 17. I'm a HUGE Big Time Rush fan......well, I read in an article that "The Monkees" and Big Time Rush were always getting compared to eachother...so, I looked it up. & it absolutely is!!!! I personally think it's cool how it's seems like history repeated itself...even though The Monkees were before my time!!! :) Basically....I liked your comment, because your 100% right!!! Oh my gosh....I think this is SO cool!!!!!

  • @rockerdave43 yea, except for the fact that the monkees is good

  • "Stand back son"

  • lol that was actually quite funny

    Aw they're so cute!! :D

  • This is a fun scene. Mike and a lady fight over a tree--that was funny. I also enjoyed seeing Mike trying to chop a tree down. Poor Micky! I felt bad when he developed poison ivy. I have seen this Christmas episode. This is a classic!

  • Love this episode. Just watched it yesterday.

LOL @ Micky: "Smile at the pretty girl Melvin"

  • Why is the audio sound all echoed.

  • @docbrownenterprises 5.1 audio. It's an option on the DVD box set.

  • Papa Nez rules this clip. :-D

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Hehehe, what cuties! Poor Micky and his poison ivy outbreak.

  • i agree

  • Mike: "Well..with $30.00 left in the kitty it's better not to give that much.."

    hahahaha.

  • Is that Butch Patrick?

  • Yes! Doesn't he look strange w/out his Eddie makeup?

  • No, he doesn't look that strange because this was the way that he looks in the Sid & Marty Krofftt show that he was in Lidsville.

  • Yes! He was so adorable!!!

  • 1:20 Davy is eating the branch lol

  • I'm as spry as the day I was born son

  • i still think the holly and mistletoe is the funniest lines of the entire series.i remember the first time i heard it i laughed till my stomach hurt and had tears flowing.

  • When they go to cutting down the tree I love it! Especially micky and his 'holly and missile toe'

  • MIKE! I FOUND SOME HOLLY AND MISSILE TOE! Holly and missile toe!? HOLLY AND MISSLE TOE! Oh wait thats not holly! THATS NOT HOLLY?! Thats not even missle toe! NOT EVEN MISSLE TOE?! No! WHAT IS IT?! Its commonly known as Poison Ivy!

  • Is it possible to buy the show on DVD??? :)

  • Amazon is your best bet. But, you can only buy the X-Mas show on it's on VHS. If you want this episode on DVD, you have to purchase the entire second season. But, it's worth it. And, on Amazon, you can get the second season for 40 bucks (give or take a buck). I bought it for 80 bucks! Happy Searchin' :)

  • thank you so much for your help :D

    i'll try amazon!

i really want both seasons! there are two, right?? and then of course their movie 'head' :)

    i love the monkees <3

  • Yes. Two seasons. And, there are commentaries on select episodes by the Monkees! Also, they put all the old cereal commercials they did when the series was on the air. It's a real treat. Take care.

  • Excuse me "Nat". I MEANT to say you can only buy the X-Mas show on it's OWN on VHS.....I hate when I type too damn fast! - LOL

  • I have the whole siries on video and dvd

  • omg I love The Monkees! I can't believe I have never seen the Christmas episode before. I've seen a lot of the episodes but not all of them. This lone looks awesome just like the rest though. I'm glad I stumbled upon this.

  • The monkees are awsome!

  • Unfortunately, they're not 20-something anymore. That's very depressing.

  • They are all alive.

  • Um...they are still alive...all of them...what on earth made you think they weren't alive?

  • why dont we have tv like this anymore?!?!?! So freaking hillaious!!!

  • the kid is from the tv show the monsters he played eddie

  • Butch Patrick

  • That child is probably over 50 years old now!!

  • What I want to know is how did he get off of 1313 Mocking Bird Lane

  • He saw his reflection during the daytime and turned into a real live boy, just like Pinnochio.

  • Yup, that's Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster. He's 54 now.

  • Mike's a lumberjack and he's ok!

  • He sleeps all night and he works all day :P

  • Does he put on women's clothing and hang around in bars?

  • That's called "Walking 'round in women's underwear," a parody of "Winter Wonderland."

  • Mike is made of 100% win.

  • omg. i really love this clip.

  • THAT IS TURE

  • davy is eating that tree. Wow this kicks ass

  • Yeah then Pete starts eaing it too....Should I amit I've done that?

  • If you do, then I have to...

  • You actually can eat the new, light green growth off Doug Fir trees... ha, I'm not sure that was a Doug Fir though. :)

  • my brother used to rub poison ivy on himself to get out of school before our mom caught hil LOL

  • That's a painful way to get out of Algebra...

  • LOL Aww poor Micky...

  • gracias por permitirme verlos de nuevo. muy buen video

  • Mike is soooo lovely!!

  • Mike is just a country bumpkin...and sexy!

  • Oh gosh, hilarious!

  • funnnnnnnnnnnnnnny

  • Eddie Munster sho is ugly!

And of course, Mike is HOT

  • This is such a funny clip, and Mike Nesmith and his Texan drawl is so hot.

  • Oh, God, that exact thing happened to me years ago. My younger sister walks up to me with some leaves and says that she found some pretty leaves and handed them to me. Of course, by the next day I had a terrible rash on my forearms. And she didn't get anything.

  • I'd say that you stayed away from Fishywoman, too and other people like her the way that your sister did. But, talking about doing something, it would've been a nice thought to go near those that you didn't like and made them contract the rash since they're full of it and that's why we do stay away from society. Remember, it's better to give than to receive-that's what God says to do,too.

  • when I was at my local WalMart, my mother and my stepfather were with me-there was a Fishywoman behind us who was checking out three half gallons of ice cream and like what my mother said,"Maybe she was going to have a party with it." I said,"probably so." Whatever I love is what she loves and my stepfather is equally the same way. Way too cool. This standard is the only way.

  • I love where Micky covered up Melvin's eyes to prevent him from seeing the ugly fight between Mike and Fishlady. Butch Patrick was hilarious as that kid and the guys loved working with him.

  • well, it's like what they say-"no scruples for those that are as dumb as rocks and that goes for the joker's wild,too"-Fishy Lady got her up and comings but, Melvin sure did love the taste of the soap

  • Mickey gets poison ivy.

  • lol

  • LMFAO! That shit was funny!

  • those dudes are so damn funny

  • Mean lady! Whacking people over trees!

  • Hahahahahaha! Davy Jones is absolutely STONED in this episode, for real! I mean, he's eating off the branch of a pine tree?? Classic!

  • Forget Davy, Micky did survive the classicly common case of poison ivy because his temperature did check out normal as sure as a number is like the perfect 110
