  • Civic SI's are only for Bitches! GEt a Rear Wheel Drive!

  • @pbcms13 i'm pretty sure if you handed me the keys to any car i'd drive much better than you so doesn't really matter what you say. you must feel pretty tough typing through that keyboard though..dont want to mess with you thats for sure.....

  • @FourStarGen118 Dont Cry! You are not the Only person Driving an Si. My Girl Fwen (Which is my Bitch) drives that Too. And she Luvs the ROaRrr of the Vtec, Just like You =]

  • @pbcms13 obviously you're just some kid or immature dude who thinks they're funny..not that I ever took you comment seriously but seeing how you have been typing I'm definitely never going to take what you say seriously

  • you should swap out that 6th gear

  • How does fell going that fast fun

  • VSA engaged at 40 mph. That's a fast machine.

  • @SpencerS77 whats vsa lol

  • @Prentice71 traction control

  • @Prentice71 Yep, traction control. Or "Vehicle Stability Assist" to get technical.

  • Nice shifting dude. :D

  • I love vtec

  • @hammr5311 you bought a mercury sable? i feel so sorry for you..poor soul.

  • 0-60 in 8 seconds? :O gtfo...

  • @Juju23King He didn't even use his launch control... I have a CSX type-S and with the launch control, 0-60 in a civic si is arround 6.9 secs. Mine's arround 7.2

  • i would LOVE to have the new 2012 but considering its price i would be perfectly happy with an 06-08 as long as its manual ;)

  • i wanna civic si as my first car:)

  • @xdavstratx its awesome! My 08 si is my first car :D

  • @FourStarGen118 how old are you???

  • @xdavstratx turned 22 this past june

  • @FourStarGen118 Cant you make the rpm thingy different colors? like blue or something?

  • @devisionrs the "rpm thingy" is red on the 06+ civic Si's and the blue "rpm thingy" is on the DX, EX, LX, EX-L

  • @FourStarGen118 Ohh cool thanks.. Not that well at explaining stuff. I plan on getting a 2006 Si once I can afford one. Hows your Si now?

  • @devisionrs My Si is doing just fine. No major repairs or anything like that. Just normal maintenance on the car. Still running strong and its running stronger because of the cold air of the recent weather here in LA. getting pretty chilly at night! my car loves it haha

  • @FourStar Haha yeah then I'm sure mine will love it too where I live. I live in delaware and it gets freezing here. And I'm guessing on the highways when its like 3 am you do like 100+? Lol

  • @devisionrs haha well occasionally i let loose and go past 100 but recently i just bought a new set of hankook V12 Evos and i can't wait to go around the local mountain roads here in LA :D

  • @FourStarGen118 must be rich then

  • @FourStarGen118 hey man im thinking about getting this car, how is the handling on this? and how fun would you say it is all around, and do you have the 4 door or the 2 door?

  • @arem58 the handling is good, like any typical front wheel drive car it gets a bit of understeer whenever you try to turn a corner really quickly. my car has 50k miles on it and its time to get new tires because my old ones are getting pretty slick. its pretty fun to drive. i really enjoy all the mechanical sounds that the car makes, like the engine and the gears meshing together when you change gears. i really like that i could hear everything

  • Yea it went up to 132 but i doubt i could take much longer at that speed, that car was about to explode, real power is when a car can stay at 132mph for ten minutes straight lol just saying

  • VTECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

  • hey i'm all for pushing it to its limits. Ha just make sure you keep that powertrain warranty in good standing order.

  • @fOURSTArgen118, I know the engine is designed to take high rpms, and an excellent engine it is, however, holding it wide open forr long periods of time builds up a lot of excessive heat. If you get on it hard, don't stay on it, allow the rpms to drop so that your engine can cool itself...or, its oil consumption time.

  • @Tophairybutt Again, thanks for your concerns but for the purposes of this video it had to be pushed to a higher rpm for very minuscule amount of time compared to normal driving. it's not like i drive around the streets in only 1st and 2nd gear. i shift at at 2000 rpm to save gas. I cruise in 6th gear at 40-45 mph all the time.

  • You're better than this. Should be at least 150 mph (240 km/h) because the stock civic 2.0 can do this speed at its potential.

  • @GenuineRuksadindan 08 civic Si's have an electronic speed limiter at 135. If it didn't have that limiter then im sure it would go 150

  • @FourStarGen118 Too bad. Sure it would.

  • @FourStarGen118 I dont think so it was pretty much done after 125 it took hours for it to finally hit 134.

  • im not a honda guy by any means(own a HHR SS) but thats pretty quick for a Non turbo 4 cyl

  • ....and what would i have done if a deer ran in front of your car???

  • @MrRaddi97 Honestly.... i would have tried to clip the deer on either side instead of trying to avoid it completely. if it did any damage to the left or right of the bumper thats fine but to the hood, radiator, engine and all that..hell no, expensive ass repair bill..

  • VTAAAK SO FAST!!

  • FOURSTAR.. keep driving the way you do..cause im the same way.. fuck everyone... takin a car to its limits is awesome and you should be commended. I'M WITH YA!

  • @ScorpiosBite1 hell yeah bro

  • @fourstargen118, yes, you are correct. Beyond the rev limiter it would definitely blow apart. So just keep running that engine the way it is being run, its perfectly fine.

  • Damn, you are really running the crap out of that little engine. Its not that fast, why are you trying to get blood out of a stone? Im not slamming your car, but its really not that fast. Youre engines going to be smoking if you keep beating it during top speed runs...too much heat for too long.

  • @Tophairybutt thank you for your concerns but if the engine couldn't handle it it wouldn't have a 8300 rev limit...

  • @FourStarGen118 lol yeah, and with hondata reflashes pushing it to 9k

  • @FourStarGen118 Love your rebuttle comments! I'm at 110,000 on my '08 coupe and haven't encountered (1) issue! (diriving spirited since 50 miles ... tried "breaking it in", but I hit VTEC the second day and haven't been able to stop since)

  • @MrDgroff i just hit 50K miles on my 2008 coupe on thanksgiving day! that was one of the things i was thankful for haha that my car hasn't given me trouble ONCE.

  • @FourStarGen118 hows the oil burning? is it manageable? Seriously speaking

  • @Intelpentium54321 i change the oil around every 4000 miles. i use full synthetic.

  • @Tophairybutt Not fast compared to what? Even 40 miles per hour is fast. This car is fast when compared to a turtle, yet slow when compared to light's speed. Your comment is negative and therefore non useful. To the Original poster however, congratulations on having such a great vehicle. I am new to Honda (basically a fan of ford, chevy and german cars) and want to ask you, consider miles on an engine is not a factor, would say a 2000 Honda Si peform such as this car? I'd be satisfied w this

  • @Tophairybutt honda is an engine company that makes cars. trust me the engine can handle it

  • i have gotten to 142 before.

  • ive got a 08 civic si, nice run, try the run with a header, intake and flash pro programmer ! u will get great results!!

  • @Tucker3109 oh ok.

  • i've got my 09 up to 135 multiple times, didn't know there was a difference between that and the 08, i haven't bothered disabling the governor, theres no time that I need to go faster than that, I'm sure it would hit 145 if i did

  • what is the blinking light on the dash

  • @spy56 that is the redline indicator, it shows when you're getting close to the rev limit so you could shift gears accordingly

  • @spy56 what a dumb ass lol

  • All these Honda videos prove that they have no torque. No fun, have to travel to the ends of the earth to get power?

  • @tambunansumlang you won't know why they're fun to drive once you actually DRIVE one..idk if you think just going fast in a straight line is fun but I like to make a few turns here and there..THAT'S fun.

  • @FourStarGen118 true, but it doesnt look like theres any power in those cars. So it doesnt look like alot of fun. Thinking of test driving one, just to find out what theyre like.

  • at 35 degrees that thing probly ran like hell for stock! but no i got mine stuck at 134 as well. i have an 07 sedan

  • HONDA power with vtec

  • haha, i went 142 in mine when it was stock

  • @poonpiratex420 what year is yours?

  • my friends r18 topped at 126 and that was on the way to arizona from texas haha

  • in -35 dgr your car should accelerate as fast as it is possible

  • what nice about removing the speed limiter is that when u engage in 6th it actually hits vtec

  • It seriously took 20 seconds to hit 100?

  • im sure it could get there faster. you can't really tell in the vid but the highway had a slight slope so it slowed it down a bit..i would try it now but not very many open straight roads in LA to try out another top speed run

  • @FourStarGen118

since when does it get to 35 degrees in LA?

  • @monkoos the video was shot near Socorro, New Mexico. I live in LA and there aren't that many straight, flat highways nearby without the presence of a lot of police in LA unless i try a desert road or something.

  • @001tracker001 It's a 2.0L inline 4 which will dust a lot of cars with twice the capacity. This is an astonishing piece of engineering, whether your domestic fanboy arse cares to debate it or not. This engine is the best it can be out of the factory governing to motoring laws.

  • @tyxium baby girl, he made himself a bitch. He wants the to rape guys, that's his thing. All Honda drivers are pretty gay so it doesn't surprise me.

  • Vtec limit is 6000rp/m?

  • @SuperM1998 i think you mean vtec engagement..vtec engages at 5800 rpm. also, a stock si has an electronic speed limiter at 135 mph in which the ecu cuts fuel to the engine to prevent the rpms from going any higher, thus preventing the engine from engaging vtec in 6th gear

  • @FourStarGen118 yea vtec engagement

  • learn how to drive the car before u buy it. shit why r u shifting after red line dumb ass

  • @2245894 sorry im not a pussy like you are. i take it to its limits and if you can't handle it stick to driving a prius or something

  • @FourStarGen118 do you have exhaust on this beast?

  • @8lil1lizzy3 I have the stock exhaust on it right now. Sounds nice to me

  • @FourStarGen118 nice dude. i was gunna get a clean 08 red civic si but once the dealership messed up on the ad and said it was automatic.. just my luck i can't drive stick

  • @FourStarGen118 nice i was gunna get an 08 si but the dealership messed up on the ad said it was auto and to my luck i can't drive stick...

  • @8lil1lizzy3 aww that sucks. learn to drive a manual transmission! it's a great skill to have

  • @2245894 FACEPALM* You hondata a full bolt on Si and the redline will be buried. Stock still goes into 8. You want to have high revs so when you shift it'll be back into vtec.

  • @2245894 learn how to not be a dick.

  • I really wish this car didn't cost 14-18 grand. My favourite Honda.

  • You almost blew up the engine getting RPM's in the red!!!! SHEESH! Change gears at 7000-7500 RPM, not at 8300-8500 RPM!

  • @imbloy542

Its the screaming K20, it can take it ;) I wouldn't do that with a Toyota engine tho lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo OK... for me... i didn't know that lol :p

  • Kik !!!

  • engine sound is good

  • engine sound is good

  • When I had my RSXS I HATED 4th gear. It was like a whole different car in 4th than 1st-3rd. Honda really needs to go FI with the civics soon but they really don;t need to since they still well. Nice video though.

  • Slow... Cute.

  • @19dcscout i like ur cat videos...cute.

  • @FourStarGen118

    lmao!

  • @FourStarGen118 I'm glad you agree. I should lower myself and drive slow Honda like yours.

  • @19dcscout nice try.

  • @FourStarGen118 It's ok to be mad. VTEC YO! Haha so lame.

  • @19dcscout its ok dude. u got ur ass handed over to you by me. it is what it is.

  • @FourStarGen118 complete fail. Look at your economy car.

  • @19dcscout Hey is that ur bike as ur profile pic? i like it. how does the vibration of the motor feel on ur vagina? does it get you wet?

  • @FourStarGen118 It makes it very wet ;) You should get one. Its pulls a lot harder than an economy car.

  • @19dcscout totally. make sure you have vagasil wipes on ur bike next time

  • @FourStarGen118 hahaha i laughed so fuckin hard at this comment lol

  • @19dcscout You have just been raped.

  • @19dcscout

LOL, dude he made you his bitch with that comment..

  • yeah i timed this too. it was right around 19-20 sec 0-100. not bad for a 4 banger. no wonder my stock I/E only LT1 kills these things. no disrespect intended.

  • Yeah the limiter prevents 6th from getting into Vtec range. Without the limiter I think they can do somewhere around 145. I just just an 08 Si 2 days ago and love it.

  • Not bad for a civic.... Red line looks like it gets used alot! :/

  • @TheBmwM3Guy haha naah not that much. i dont do this very often at all.

  • Spent too much time bumping the red line IMO.

  • @IROC320i you're right. its never good to keep the rev in the redline for too long. but for the purpose of this video, i tried to push it as much as i could. i baby my car all the time, but sometimes i just like to stretch her legs :)

  • @FourStarGen118 u made ur car sound like a slut in ur last statement lol but fast car man like the si

  • @adcstmh hahaha its what I do bro lol

  • @bijl992005 top speed is reached in 5th, 6th is just fuel saver

  • sounds good...

  • Sounds damn good!

  • @Denisdog34 hell yea. this thing isn't the fastest thing out there, but at least it sounds bomb diggity

  • damn i would not go that fast on cold tires.... thats sketchy

  • There are way too many people who talk a lot of shit but don't know shit. This is a good video and a great car. Can't beat it for the price and the gas mileage and there is a plethora of after market parts. For the best upgrade, get a turbo kit imho until then, this thing is just fine.

  • its cold but a warm engine in the cold is best conditions:)

  • about 40-ish seconds not bad... 6th gear sucked tho lmao

  • VTEC!!!!!!

  • ACE shifting my friend!!!

  • @Enemyofreali7y haha thanks. but when i look back at this vid i think it's slow and not smooth lol

  • @mahadragon VSA only really affected the amount of time it took for me to accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear..since it tried to stop the wheel spin..but doesn't affect the top speed..which is what i was trying to show in this vid. if i wanted to do 0-60 yea i'd worry about it more..

  • How many was the stock HP on this car?

  • @MattTrevett 197 HP @ 7800, 139 ft-lb @ 6100

  • shoulda nos'd it bro :P

  • the car must have a governor right??? i've seen si running at 146/7 mph

  • @ygustavo yea electronically speed limited..i've never seen a stock si do more than 134/5

  • To does who complain about torque and power u shouldnt forget its a little civic its fun to drive and will be more reliable than almost anything if your worried about performance put 2-3-4 grand into them and im sure these little cars will have more than you ever need i used to own a 03 cl type s and sold it to my brother now i had the choice to choose between another one of those or this and im going for one of the civic way to fun to drive to pass on one if those :)

    Btw good vid

  • sweet car man, been thinking about getting one or a high revving counterpart.

  • I Love This Car! This video makes it even more enjoyable! To all the people laughing at the speed: when do you do 130+ mph besides a track anyway? It's how fast you get there not how fast total. Check out my Evos if you want something to look at.

  • sorry i laughed my ass off. looks like it doesnt have much after 120 mph.

  • It's got an electronic governor on it has nothing to do with the VTEC in 6th. Chip it, and you better have good tires and some decent brakes.

  • They are fucking stupid no vtec in 6th they could be doing like 150 but no vtec in 6th

  • All you gotta do is build it up a bit

  • Man, that's the only way you're gonna get power out of them, by keeping it over 6000rpms. It's got good horsepower, but the torque is just sad. Of course it's fun to drive and accelerate when you keep the revs up high, but it's pitifully slow when cruising around town, you always need to downshift to get the power.

  • honda didnt build them for speed but for mpg!

  • I forgot to mention those Si's are extremely comfortable too with pretty decent ride quality. Anyways, great vid, I love that little car, they're a blast, don't pay attention to the idiots on here.

  • Very nice!! I love the sound from that little engine, and I'm a V8 guy. Truth is I've driven a ton of sports cars and super cars, every AMG model you can think of after the 2001 model year, plus two SLRs, an F430 Scuderia (only Ferrari I've driven unfortunately), Zo6's, Continental GT's etc. (I have a fun job) and I own a GTO. I've also driven one of these cars and had a blast, it was fun, peppy, cornered good, the works, and I had fun for longer because the engine doesn't swallow down gas. My

  • Nice car and nice shift work. This is a very unique car. How many other 4 cylinder cars out there have a light weight engine, with a 8400 RPM rev limit?

And to the haters, don't compare a 50K car that you can barely make the payments on, or your grandpa's 1960-something Chevy POS that you have to rebuilt ever week. Compare other MODERN 20K-ish cars geniuses.

  • @AutodromoF1 OK my cobalt is faster

  • @Chevyguy2003 everyone knows that, and nobody cares.

  • @magnificentmoreno. cry me a river coon.

  • Nice si great Vtec sound get s300 get rid of the limiter change redline to 10k buy get s2k oil pump and top end runs like a champ

  • Lmao I like how my grand am wouldnt come out of 3rd to 105 (3rd at 3500rpms to be exact(speed limited)) while ur in 5th by that time.

  • @joshuadonofrio thats cuz your grand am is prolly a 4speed, while the Si is a 6 speed, its all based on different ratios

  • @ScorpiosBite1 thats a good one. did it take you like three weeks to think up of that one?

  • @ScorpiosBite1 why give stupid comments like that

  • lol 10 seconds from 60-100 made me laugh...sorry hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahahah

  • @ScorpiosBite1 you bore me

  • slow.

  • @ScorpiosBite1 i thought i got rid of you.

  • @ScorpiosBite1 dont you have some bridge to stand under...

  • i remember the first time it took me over a minute to get to 130 lol

  • Nice civic bro... Love the digital gauges and stop waisting your time arguing with scorpio he's just mad he drives a turbo pt cruiser

  • fourstar... ohh, and dont reply...youre not smart enough to stop. SO, if youre as smart as you think you are, you wont reply. Even if you do, im done with you and your low I.Q responses. Peace wigger.

  • @ScorpiosBite1

    1. i think you mean "rhesus monkey"

    2. YOU don't have to answer my comments. this is MY video you've been commenting on. You can stfu whenever you want.

    3. It took me a while to comment back because I was in my Computer Drafting class making the housing for a flashlight assembly I'm making on SolidWorks..ever heard of it?

    4. Once anyone starts making racial slurs, it's obvious youve run out of "insults," especially when they're wrong LMAO.

So once again, i suggest you leave bitch.

  • got to love the 10.5 second 0-60 i think my grand pa's 1970 ford ltd can do better than that come on now V tec saves fuel at higher rpm's it dosent add any power.

  • @Jizzo13945 video was shot to see top speed, not 0-60.

  • fourstar... lol You're inability to construct and or understand the argument perplexes me; your questions prove my initial point- dumb as a Reeses monkey. If i've got to break it down for you, you're in over your head, obviously. Drop the convo you white nigger, and go back to school.

  • @ScorpiosBite1 Your*

  • fourstar...pt cruiser??? im telling you the only good turbo cars come from the factory?? wtf are you discussing and with whom are you discussing them with?? i said nothing to that extent. you create phantom arguments and false interpretations to suit your below average intelligence. youre def not worth talking to. youre like a reeses monkey. im done with you.

  • @ScorpiosBite1 obviously your mind doesnt have the ability to decipher the point i was trying to make. you said "if honda creates an si with a turbo, than and only than would we have something to talk about" so what were you trying to say? That if honda makes a FACTORY turbo si it would be good? but if I put a turbo in MYSELF its a waste of money? why is it a waste of money if it makes it that much faster? thats the whole point. you contradict yourself numbnuts. go kill yourself cuz no one cares

  • Actually sounds a lot better than I thought! It did alright, although I think they should consider giving it more torque in the next version...

  • @R1S1NGDRAGON they are. it's going to have the engine from the TSX which has pretty much the same hp but 170 ft-lbs of torque

  • @FourStarGen118 Nice :D
