Chocolate Martini from the Wine Bar in Downton Lees Summit is the best drink I have ever had. FYI, Ive been an alcoholic for a long time so I'm a good judge!!! AWESOME!!!!
I love the part about add anything to vodka and you now have "a new martini". I don't care for all this but friends do and frankly this is a good way to learn. The uber fancy mixologist soup that others call a martini is for the birds. Play it old school and "doll" it up if you have too.
I love how pissed he looks when he says that anything mixed with vodka now is called a martini. haha. That is one of the biggest pet-peves of old school bartenders.
I make a chocolate martini using Dove Chocolate Martini Mix..2 oz plus either 2oz of Caramel flavored Baileys or 2 oz of Raspberry vodka. Delish! Melt some Doves chocolate before you piur and decorate the inside of the glass. Also rim the glass with melted Doves Chocolate.
This is the most basic recipe. Variations include a vanilla or raspberry (nice twist) flavored vodka, a little half & half for a creamy texture, and creme de cocoa for additional chocolate flavor. I do like the chocolate syrup around the chilled glass and recommend it.
nice touch

chill your chocolate syrup and the swirls will not run down the glass for a nicer presentation

I want to try it out like this
Chocolate Liqueur, Vanilla Vodka, and some Bailey's maybe Carmel Bailey's? Trying that out in a couple weeks.

Uhhh...this drink seems to be 99% vodka. There should definitely be more chocolate liqueur it in to make it taste good.
