I'm agnostic, used to be evengelical. I can understand why parents react with such extreme emotion. They really believe their kids will spend eternity in hell. That's hard to take, sometimes causes an extreme emotinal reaction. I feel sorry for people caught up in religion.
@VulnarKawarZ That doesn't matter, my point was that faith is a load of crap. Also, if you aren't religious, why did you say, "Science is a belief system which aims to minimize faith. Religion, on the other hand, is a belief system based completely on faith?" You made it sound as though faith is something that should be taken seriously and that religions didn't need proof because they have faith, which is close enough.
@VulnarKawarZ makes it a noun meaning knowledge (broken down like that). And yes, religion is completely based on faith. I ask you to provide proof of the magical man in the sky you talk about, yet all you can say is to have faith (for something that is NOT self evident)? So basically what I got is this: You can't prove your magical man in the sky theory so you found some numbers on the internet that couldn't be proven. One problem. You still CAN'T prove the magical man in the sky theory.
Did you read the last two words? NO PROOF. That takes care of your first 3 paragraphs. "Science is a belief system." Wtf? No it's not. It is an understanding of our world. There is no faith needed because only stuff we KNOW is science. Hence the word for "to know" is scire. Notice the first 3 letters of the word for know are the exact same letters and the word science. The "ence" at the end basically
@VulnarKawarZ suddenly. As with the whole black hole thing, they don't just pop up out of nowhere, and it's not like they can't be detected. They are just very massive stars. VERY massive. Well, not really stars, but you know what I mean. Heavenly bodies. How about that? But really? REALLY? They just pop up out of nowhere and everything is gone? LOL! I believe you've read too much crazy shit about 2012... ROFL!
@VulnarKawarZ Apes can't speak because they, like all other animals, never evolved rapid speech patterns. Besides, I don't think you have ever taken a statistics class. If we study enough apes, we can be nearly certain (but never completely) that they still can't talk. It's not our fault nature never gave them a need to develop vocal chords. The sun will rise tomorrow because our planet is still spinning. Although it is slowing down, it is very unlikely that something will cause it to stop
@VulnarKawarZ happen in something such as a water distiller. It's the same principle, it's just people don't want to believe. Also, there is a big difference between science and theory. People theorized that the earth was the center of the universe, but they had no proof. Science wasn't wrong, just a theory was wrong. As for the whole universe being a gigantic holographic matrix thing you said... LOL!
@VulnarKawarZ No it's not. Science is proof, not belief. Science is data. Evidence. Things that we don't have to try to convince people are real (unlike gods) because even they can go out and see for themselves that the science is true. Here's an example. God makes rain (I am not saying you are a christian or believe in a god, only providing an example). We KNOW, not believe, that rain comes from water vapor condensing in the atmosphere. Christians, along with everyone else, can see this
It is very hard for someone to come out of the "Atheist" closet, I came out about 6 years ago and it was very difficult to lose many so called friends at the time. I give props to you, that son who's mother flipped out on, and all the other self outed freethinkers, atheists and agnostics.
@kurbypinky What do you mean by that ? And maybe you should give some sort of ounce of evidence of what you say. Might help the credibility along, you know.
@kurbypinky Getting attention? Excuse me? You religious people go and try to convert people and say "Hey! Our religion is right, if you dont follow us you go to hell!" Religion gets more attention then most other topics aside from basic politics. We just want to live our lives the way we've chose to, by NOT believing some made up shit that humans use to explain things we cant comprehend. Is that so wrong?
@kurbypinky Oh. My apologies than. 90% of the people I can think of who would accuse people of being atheists because they want attention are Christians. I assumed that was what you had meant and that you were as well.
@Wolffeye13 this is boring... atheist do love attention. other wise they wouldnt be making these videos about nothing. im a christian not "religious". two big different things there. and plz stop commenting. its dissapointing when i have to come to my inbox inspecting a response from someone i want one from, and then i get this.
@kurbypinky Yeah that why we build Atheist buildings in every town, every president talks about how atheist they are, and the media showing how great we are. Get your head out of your ass.
It's not that we are going at you! Yes I don't agree with the way that mum handled it but I think you can go about it in a normal manner not to change but show them in love! I love Christ and I would love to see you Love Christ but its your life and you will always wonder if there is God then you chose wrong and you know then where you will go! but again your life! :D Take this with a grain of salt please :D
@Kenneprobst Your comment seemed nice... But basically.. Your saying we go to hell if we choose wrong. Which by the way, The old testament had no hell... Thats the new testament. That people thought "Lets make up MORE shit so people will be scared and choose OUR religion" Its almost like a commercial on tv, where they say "If you don't buy our product ______ will happen to you! so buy now!"
@machado231097 I am religious=open mind=many of my friends have a different religion or none whatsoever=I believe and know science=I believe in Evolution=I have read the Bible, Torah, and Koran (talk about close minded?) =i know doctors and psychologists who left everything, their jobs, money, world, to become nuns (so they are neither uneducated, nor unscientific)=i refuse under any condition to force my religion or kill anybody!!
@MarioFreek45 you know Catholics believe in Evolution right? I don't want bullshit comments to my post, but just mentioning, because many seem to think Religious people believe God created the world in a snap! even the Pope said Catholics do not refuse evolution!
@6MemoryOfForever9 Yes, but some Catholics don't even seem to know that lol. I bet you about 2/3 of religious people don't even fully understand what their religion means. I've spoke to Mormons who think drinking coffee means you're going to hell. If coffee = hell, I was going there before I even knew what a religion was!
Christmas was actually a Pagan holiday. Also, a lot of different religions have some kind of "godly" person who was born of a virgin on that day, and other similarities (like Mithra).
The reason religious people have a problem with atheism rests on the fact that religion is a confining, box-like, mentality; whereas, atheism is the calling into question of what has been taught as truth. It is vital that we be heretical, leaving what is accepted in favor of embracing our own personal path. Atheism is a stepping stone, for some, to move into that individual path. Heresy, by the way, comes from the Greek, meaning "to choose".
Good video man. The point you make about 0.2% of the prison population who class themselves as atheists is excellent. Makes you wonder if people who commit crimes and are incarcerated for the remainder of there lives would chose that cause of action if they realised this life is precious and the only one they have, and the lives they destroy will not be compensated in a fairy tale eternity?
Totally agree with you man. It pisses me off when I get "Oh how can you possibly be an atheist," from someone who has no idea what Christianity is/how it came about/what it has done to people. I guarantee I have read the Bible and have thought about religion and the metaphysical more than 90% of "christians." They can't change their minds because they don't want to change. They don't care to find truth..All they want is to have someone tell them what to do/believe in. They are Orwellian proles
christmas was not originally a christian holiday anyway and I have to agree with you that it is more of a tradition than a religious holiday at this point and I believe this trend will continue in the future. I know atheism is becoming more mainstream now and will be more and more accepted.
i got 45 seconds! in and had to turn it off cus i cudnt stand hearing him...not that i didnt want to listen to what he said...just that i cudnt stand hearing him
"not believing in god is one thing but an ATHEIST?!?" that reaction is typical. it's why theists say things like "atheism is a religion too." Because they're so used to thinking in terms of buying into a belief system, that if you call yourself something, that means you've joined a club basically. that you've adopted a set of beliefs.
@BillKiernan I think they mean in terms of being agnostic v.s. atheists. This is because they see agnostics as "better" since they don't directly say there is no god...however an agnostics worldview really contradicts the religious worldview in the end as they say there is no real way to tell v.s. a faith that goes around saying that theres is the only path to truth
Actually, religion tries to make it simple by throwing away things like individuality and critical thought. It only gets complicated once someone resists it, like for instance rejecting the slavery that the bible unambiguously advocated by pulling out nonsense like "that's the old testament". Religion is only complicated if you introduce it to people who were raised in secular democracies where superior values are already instilled.
i am i christian,i dont believe in what you say i believe he did for me and god is my creator but i enjoy listing to you some people do push there belifs
Of course atheism is the future. It is science, it is truth, it is real, it is proof, it is questions, it is accepting new, it is accepting being wrong, it is accepting a future. If you believe in a god more than likely you believe that the END IS NEAR! zomg.
my music teacher in school hates me for being an atheist and is almost failing me and my friend who doesn't do anything in the class is getting 70's 80's and i play all the instruments work hard in it and she's giving me 50's 60's enough to not be suppious very rasist woman what should i do any tips , maybe get her fired , whats your idea about it
You should tell an adult about this or just your school teacher. Religion or Atheism has nothing to do with education so she should not use her hatred to give you a bad grade. I mean you don't even know what is your real grade. I wouldn't let a woman like her to go around and be hateful towards other people. I really hope you will be alright in this situation.
we don't try to REASON people out of religion. We get sick of people trying to force their religious opinionated views upon us. "Oh, pray for little jessica that someone kidnapped" ALL the praying on the planet from the pople won't bring her back. Praying never changed anything. If it happens it happens. I refuse to debate anyone about their opinions. If the car is obviously green, but you "FEEL" that it is blue, then something is wrong with you.
santa clause.... easter bunny.... moses.... jesus..... christmas in my state means only gifts/family/food/booze.... its just a good time. That is to completely bypass the religious aspect, but ROCK ON, i love it!
Funny story TRUE story a Catholic converter try to get me to get to there chruch and in such a way it seems like converting but why rejoin the Catholics when I am one !
But Kaiser, isn't it in the bible that all catholics are supposed to be evangelistic as well and it is your duty to convert people in the ways you can?
I might be wrong here..
And what about loved ones? If you don't convert them, they might end up burning in hell forever??
Because the whole Church is of its nature missionary and the work of evangelization is to be considered a fundamental duty of the people of God, all Christs faithful must be conscious of the responsibility to play their part in missionary activity.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
shes his mom she has to do what she did
religion goes against atheism becaused its wrong
in a way atheism is like listening to the devil, beause the devil turns people away from God, and the people let him do it because they lose their faith. X-mas is about Jesus and always will be.
Actually a pagan tradition celebrating the return of the sun. I´m a christian and I celebrate chrismas. Everytime my chritian friends pray for people to get the "true meaning of chrismas I like to tell them.
FACT: The FBP states that nearly 85 percent of inmates are judeo-christian. What about atheists... well they're a meager .2 percent. Not even a full percent, even though they make up about 10 percent of the general population. Yea Atheism... we must be better at not getting caught. SMARTER perhaps.
I don't think you can draw that conclusion from the data about atheists being a smaller portion of the prison population. Personally I think that the inmates find hope in religion because they don't have much else to look forward to. Imagine if you were locked up for life in prison and you heard this message of forgiveness and the promise of eternal life at the end of a meager mortal life. I think it would appeal to prisoners more then the general population.
What I'm saying is that for a prisoner who has nothing but 20 years to life imprisonment of being locked up in his cell for 23 hours a day, the message of religious belief can sound reassuring. I was only trying to offer an explanation for the smaller numbers of atheist's in prison. It may well be true that fewer criminal are atheists, but I don't think that conclusion can be drawn from that data. There are too many confounding variables.
Haha, yeah.... I wasn't caught for min. of 5 years after I changed from christianity to athiest to agnostic to buddist. I diffinetly won't ever change from buddist.
I have a very good friend of mine who been an athist his whole life, but he celebrates Christmas.
As a conservative Christian myself, I asked him why. I mean, the purpose of Christmas, IMO, is to give a gift to someone we love as freely as God gave us His Son.
His answer? Giving gifts and spending time with friends and family is a good thing. Well, who can disagree with that?
I'm a recent atheist myself. I'd just like to say that my christian parents have been pretty much as tolerant and understanding of me as humanly possible. I was never in the least bit mistreated or slighted because of it.
I'm a lucky guy because most of the families I knew from church probably wouldn't have been quite as civil if I were their kid. It must be tough for that guy, but it's cool to see that he's still not afraid to be open about his beliefs.
i dont get why anyone evan cares what religion you are if your an athiest or not you can believe whatever you want to believe. and if their is a reall god then why would he hate you for anything.
On the topic of christmas, it didn't start with christianity, and you don't have to be a christian to celebrate that day. It is a national holiday pretty much, several religions celebrate something around then, and it is a good time to come together with your family, and exchange gifts and what not.
I am a Christian and I hate those people in my religion who goes like "oooh all Atheists and Muslims could burn in hell." That is just against my religion and can lead to racism. Some "laws" of some religions are dodgy, like divorce and crap. That is why Henry VIII formed his own church away from Catholics. I neither care what religion they have, as long as they get along with me they are fine, nor mention religion when I am in a row with someone who is in a different in religion as me.
how come christians and atheists can not get along? i mean i have learned to cope with the fact that not every one believes what i do,i mean i put it this way, christians hate atheists because they are more or less saying that god isnt real, atheists hate christians because they think that christians make the world go bad. i think that the every one just needs to chill and get with there life because the fact is all people are different and you can not group people into one group.
no what's wrong is the fact that atheists have these stereotypical views about all Christians. The mother in this video is part of which generation? Not the one that you are going to have to live with in 40 years, yet in 40 years your generation will think that the new generation of Catholics is just like the old, unwilling to listen or accept. Which is complete bullshit.
i have friend tiffany and she is an athest and i believe in god but im not christian but any she is an athiest and i love her to death no religion will make me change that
actually yesterday I was reading to a researc that points out that atheist or agnostics are 10-15% of us population and 0.2% of people in jail... I understand not believing in god but atheist!!! that's the key!!!
Of course, religion is brain washing, brain washing away from our roots, making the right wrong, and the wrong right. This is not human's nature, and it drives people insane!Atheist know it and instead of believing in hell they just enjoy every moment and have a happy life,no need for crimes!
I don't even recall speaking to you in the first place? It was you who interrupted. And I'l repeat again if the only way you can try and insult me is through spelling and work picking.. you need to get a life :) So id appreciate it if there was no more interruptions because your just making me laugh :)
I appreciate it, Ash, but I wouldn't bother. The monotony of his vacuity is beginning to bore me now the novelty of someone going out of their way to create an account just to provoke me has worn off. He (I'm assuming it's a he) just completely ignored the substance of your comment, and he clearly has nothing to say except ill-informed insults. To be frank, the consistent failure is actually getting quite pathetic and sad since he's said nothing new at all. It's not worth bothering with anymore.
I get you. Its just fun to own them all the time and see the sort of stuff they come out with in response. They never seem to actually get it (dont think this one does either =p).
You really have no idea that we're laughing at your expense, do you?
This is the funny part. Not only do you insult people for being on YouTube with, of all things, a soc account, but i just checked your profile and it says you're from the U.K., yet you spell things the American way ("realize", "antagonize"). This is all while criticizing (I'm American, *I'm* allowed to spell it that way) clutch for speaking with an American accent when he's Welsh, even though that's a common thing.
Let me give you some advice: you dont actually know him that well. I can tell, because I do. We're good friends who talk all the time, and I can tell you that he doesn't try to be anybody. He just 'is', and he's very self assured. But you seem like the sort of person whos gotten their info on him from what others have said, or from watching him across the room (I dont know you, but I guess you used to go to his school).
Have you ever sat down and actually had a real conversation with him? If not, how can you have the arrogance to claim you know him better than I do, or better than he knows himself for that matter.
And for the record, I'm a girl. Try not to make any more silly presumptions. You've made enough as it is.
oh dear.. i did not realize i was writing on precious youtube. im not writing essays rhys
Besides lets face it we all know none of this would be said to anyones face because your a stuttering mess.
So you don't deny the fact your not american.. and that you have nothing better to do than post numerous videos on here about mindless philosophy's that could be argued in various different ways? And as for your friend.. isnt he to reacting to a comment on youtube.. i find that equally as entertaining
It happens to be something we do in our spare time because it interests us, and we don't slate people who do the same. It's not hypocrisy then. That's what Ash was getting at. You, however, do the exact thing you slate people for doing. That is.
If you have a problem with people discussing amateur philosophy, then that's your problem and I really don't care.
You obviously don't know me as well as you think you do, because I discuss this in real life frequently. I'm just not an antagonistic ass unless provoked by people who, for example, spend their free time on YouTube throwing around vacuous insults at people for being on YouTube, or are so shallow or narrow minded that they cannot appreciate someone liking something that they dont. I'm a slut for hypocrisy. I find it endlessly amusing.
Says the person who spends their free time making rather ridiculous and presumptuous comments on YouTube videos, can't spell 'absolute' and judges people "bellends" because they believe things differently and happen to care about those beliefs.
In fairness, I was a bit of an ass when I made this. Still am. But then, so are people who make comments on videos calling someone a "bellend" for insignificant (and not entirely correct) reasons, so I don't know what they're complaining about.
Give them credit, Ash. Their arrogance and pettiness is actually very entertaining.
So true, but :( Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year!
No, really Christmas rocks, presents or not, is just that time when everyone gathers and its so fun. Anyways insightful video, and have a great day! :)
Umm, Christmas isn't a Christian holiday? It's pagan, and dedicated to celebrating the winter Solstice. Why not point out how it was hijacked by theists first, who then allowed it to be hijacked by capitalists? You kind of lost me on that part.
I live in the here and now and look forward to countless things, within this life and without. I will also restate: I dont think I would live my life any differently as a non-believer.
I can only assume what it is you exactly mean by "dedicate your life to a fantasy."
"dedicate" I assume you mean actions, not thoughts, not words. Actions trump both of them.
Ask yourself, what actions in your life would you change, if you would live your life any differently as a thiest.
I agree with what you said (2:16) there are some people that dont truly think about what it is that they believe. They accept it because thats what they are told. I am a theist, not because what Im told, not because of what I hear, but because of what I reason from within.
Faith is something that is personal, not to be imposed on another...ever. If it is imposed, how can one accept it as truth? You must find it for yourself.
If you had never been taught there is a god or if the Bible had never been written, do you think you would still "reason from within" that there is any god?
You will accept only one answer over the other. Lets say that noone wrote, nor taught that there is any god. There had to have one person in the history of mankind that believed without any influence from another. That could have been well before any greek, roman, egyptian or any other god. Im well aware of your second question...im well aware of where you're going with your first question. Considering what I have said, in my humble opinion, your question is irrelevant.
Actually I would accept an answer like this: The first man that saw god wanted to control the rest of his tribe by telling them a sky man told him to tell them he would smite them if they didn't make him chief.
Gotcha. This is where I should probably say, "why didnt I take the blue pill?!"
Regardless...we will all know the truth one day. I dont think I would live my life any differently though as a non-believer. When you can look back on your life and feel that you truly have no regrets, you know you are truly happy.
Would you have no regrets if you dedicated your life to a fantasy that was never true and spent all your time looking forward to an afterlife that never came?
It does hurt to see indeed. At the same time, amongst this all this ignorance, it's very inspiring to occasionally see a fellow being who is willing to strive for a more open mind, especially when he or she is a young person.
No, you *DO* have a right to believe in what you want. I will not take that away from you. In fact, I will defend it. But the same goes for this parent, among others. They should not take away the right of their child to believe or disbelieve in what they want. They do not have the right to do that.
ok iv got a huge messed up family a mom, step dad, my dad, and my step mom and all of there family to deal with one side is baptist,2 sides are catholic, and the other is lutheran and not one of them or ne of there friends label athiests as "devil worshipers" its just that in the bible it says if you do not believe and praise god you will go to hell this kids mother isnt considering her son to be a "devil worshiper" shes just angery out of fear cause she believes that her son will go to hell
So let us all keep our opinions to ourselves and allow parents to abuse their kids without opening our mouths, even if we didn't physically force them to change in the first place. Terrific philosophy.
That cunt in the video is abusing her child. I hate how parents automatically get a free pass to raise their children "how they want", just because they're their kids. It fucking sickens me beyond belief.
There is no excuse for intolerance. I admire that kid in the video for standing up for what he believes, and I hope his bitch of a mother dies in a fire.
And please continue spreading your beliefs but lets not say "atheists are selfish and evil" or "christains are child raping terrorists" (which i have been called). Lets share our beliefs, if i know a friend that is atheist i will share with him my opinion and he will share his with me but at the end of the day we are still friends because we don't think lesser of the other person. Let's live together and respect each other for the choice they have made, because both actually make sense a little.
So atheists believe we are here until we die or kill each other or something and Christians believe that we are stuck here until the return of Christ and we don't even have a guess at when that will be so i have to wonder why we are so violent against each other? We need to co-exist or else we will perish. So i say, lets respect each other for the decisions we make. If you believe in god, fantastic; if you don't, fantastic. Let's co-exist and live in peace.
Be honest with a child who asks whether you believe there is no god. There is nothing anymore wrong with informing a child who asks that you believe there is no god than there is in informing that same child about why you believe there is no Santa Claus! Informing children who invite your opinion about your atheist beliefs could and often will inspire in them a potential to think critically about god-beliefs. Only we can free ourselves of god-beliefs and other supernatural-beliefs!
I'm agnostic, used to be evengelical. I can understand why parents react with such extreme emotion. They really believe their kids will spend eternity in hell. That's hard to take, sometimes causes an extreme emotinal reaction. I feel sorry for people caught up in religion.

6MemoryOfForever9 1 year ago
@6MemoryOfForever9 Yes, but some Catholics don't even seem to know that lol. I bet you about 2/3 of religious people don't even fully understand what their religion means. I've spoke to Mormons who think drinking coffee means you're going to hell. If coffee = hell, I was going there before I even knew what a religion was!
Wolffeye13 9 months ago
Christmas was actually a Pagan holiday. Also, a lot of different religions have some kind of "godly" person who was born of a virgin on that day, and other similarities (like Mithra).
dsdepadova 1 year ago

BillKiernan 1 year ago
@BillKiernan I think they mean in terms of being agnostic v.s. atheists. This is because they see agnostics as "better" since they don't directly say there is no god...however an agnostics worldview really contradicts the religious worldview in the end as they say there is no real way to tell v.s. a faith that goes around saying that theres is the only path to truth

religion is a very complicated thing no matter what you belive period
CHICKENNNNNNNNN 1 year ago
@CHICKENNNNNNNNN

There is no future with religion. Period.

we don't try to REASON people out of religion. We get sick of people trying to force their religious opinionated views upon us.
XxVizzinixX 2 years ago
I don't think you can draw that conclusion from the data about atheists being a smaller portion of the prison population. Personally I think that the inmates find hope in religion because they don't have much else to look forward to. Imagine if you were locked up for life in prison and you heard this message of forgiveness and the promise of eternal life at the end of a meager mortal life. I think it would appeal to prisoners more then the general population.
slammy001 2 years ago
Umm.....
Are you suggesting that more atheists are criminals, except they convert to christianity just prior to taking said survey.
Or are you saying that the prison religion ratio does not reflect that of the general public (which would be inaccurate at best).
United States
Prison christians=85% General Pop=75%
Prison atheists=.2% General Pop=10%
Other civilized nations don't have this.
Can you explain why the US has one of the largest prison systems in the galaxy?
XxVizzinixX 2 years ago
What I'm saying is that for a prisoner who has nothing but 20 years to life imprisonment of being locked up in his cell for 23 hours a day, the message of religious belief can sound reassuring. I was only trying to offer an explanation for the smaller numbers of atheist's in prison. It may well be true that fewer criminal are atheists, but I don't think that conclusion can be drawn from that data. There are too many confounding variables.
slammy001 2 years ago
Haha, yeah.... I wasn't caught for min. of 5 years after I changed from christianity to athiest to agnostic to buddist. I diffinetly won't ever change from buddist.

I have a very good friend of mine who been an athist his whole life, but he celebrates Christmas.
As a conservative Christian myself, I asked him why. I mean, the purpose of Christmas, IMO, is to give a gift to someone we love as freely as God gave us His Son.
His answer? Giving gifts and spending time with friends and family is a good thing. Well, who can disagree with that?
BillTheCat7 2 years ago
I'm a recent atheist myself. I'd just like to say that my christian parents have been pretty much as tolerant and understanding of me as humanly possible. I was never in the least bit mistreated or slighted because of it.
I'm a lucky guy because most of the families I knew from church probably wouldn't have been quite as civil if I were their kid. It must be tough for that guy, but it's cool to see that he's still not afraid to be open about his beliefs.

On the topic of christmas, it didn't start with christianity, and you don't have to be a christian to celebrate that day.
Ask yourself, what actions in your life would you change, if you would live your life any differently as a thiest.
muda7676 3 years ago
I agree with what you said (2:16) there are some people that dont truly think about what it is that they believe. They accept it because thats what they are told. I am a theist, not because what Im told, not because of what I hear, but because of what I reason from within.
Faith is something that is personal, not to be imposed on another...ever. If it is imposed, how can one accept it as truth? You must find it for yourself.
muda7676 3 years ago
Agreed.
Clutchology 3 years ago
If you had never been taught there is a god or if the Bible had never been written, do you think you would still "reason from within" that there is any god?
jbourget32 3 years ago
You will accept only one answer over the other. Lets say that noone wrote, nor taught that there is any god. There had to have one person in the history of mankind that believed without any influence from another. That could have been well before any greek, roman, egyptian or any other god. Im well aware of your second question...im well aware of where you're going with your first question. Considering what I have said, in my humble opinion, your question is irrelevant.
muda7676 3 years ago
Actually I would accept an answer like this: The first man that saw god wanted to control the rest of his tribe by telling them a sky man told him to tell them he would smite them if they didn't make him chief.
jbourget32 3 years ago
Gotcha. This is where I should probably say, "why didnt I take the blue pill?!"
Regardless...we will all know the truth one day. I dont think I would live my life any differently though as a non-believer. When you can look back on your life and feel that you truly have no regrets, you know you are truly happy.
muda7676 3 years ago
Would you have no regrets if you dedicated your life to a fantasy that was never true and spent all your time looking forward to an afterlife that never came?

They should not take away the right of their child to believe or disbelieve in what they want. They do not have the right to do that.
It goes both ways.

fuck off retard, he is not your son, she raised/raising him how she wants to and you cant do shit about that.

I know, we atheist are misunderstood. I'm open about that I'm a atheist, I ignore friends that try to convert me, thats annoying.
