@ebaydemonstrations i did have trouble with a 1991 range rover with burning oil...the two i have now have given no problems at all...it is like any car brand.....not all of them that come off the production line will be perfect....how may 4wd drive wagons would keep driving with 2 wheels missing?....range rovers are great.

yes they do rust, if its just minor then get it well waxoiled inside the chassis , sills , rear crossmember , and anywhere else that looks like rust may come, , the trick is to stop it getting worse , unless there is serious corosion damage and holes then it is not dangerous

depending on where you live, the cost of this work should not realy be that expesive , any bodywork shop should be able to bo it , but best find one that resores old cars , it needs to be pumped in under presure until its dripping out of the holes , its also best to jet wash the underside and alow it to completely dry out before having it done,

so yesterday im driving on Venture Blvd in L.A. and im stopped at a red light its turns green i press on the gas the car goes 2mph then something pulls its back....my rear axle broke..its a 1995, its never been offroad in its life and the inside of the rear axle broke..pissed off
I must admit LR could have made the axles stronger on thoose models. I'm yet to bust one, but I know it's coming. Still it's cheap to fix, 15pound part in UK. Hope it doesn't cost you to much. if it happens again just lock the centre diff and you can keep going
I thought a '95 was the MK2 BMW version (the late '95 definitely are), the classic didn't have air suspension so if your does have air suspension then it is a MK2, anyway the suspension has nothing to do with what kept it going, it simply the 4x4.
The Classics, or first original shape did have air suspension - it came out with the long wheel base version 108". The original was 100" and was given air suspension in it's final 3 years (I think - or 2). But yes, it definitely had - check classics for sale (autotrader) - they'll feature that fact.
Land Rover sold both models (MK2 and Classic) in 1995. Also, Classic models had air suspension (EAS) from 1993 on, although many owners have retrofitted springs because the air was so unreliable.
