Actually I have to contradict that! The underwear did survive. They were unable to defeat the strength of the giant pants and Ed had to take his leg out first before Steve took them off. We got all the underwear back at the end of the show...(including said pair)
they got out of the pants by ripping them apart when they pulled in opposite directions! It was very funny to watch -a great gig and a good time was had by all.
