  • What is that ? fine rain? dust?

  • @FeignofCordor it's the finest soil known to humanity! It had rained a lot the night before, so it wasn't particularly dry. There's not much decent soil left in the fens now, so hopefully they'll let them flood again soon.

  • Hi, my name is, indeed, Fen Blow. I live in Kansas, where the wind blows, just a little. What a peaceful yet awesome site this video is. Thank you...Fen.

  • Im a Train Driver and i cross the Fens Peterborough - Cambridge alot. I counted no less than 4 Fen Blows today! In the past im lucky if i count that in a year. With Farmers losing crops to this and lack of rain. Its not going to be a good crop year :o/

Great music.. For more haunting soundscapes give Biosphere a try ;o)

  • @flywaver1 cheers ;)

  • @henrydify No I didn't know anyone had died. That's awful. I gave up at one point myself, as I couldn't breathe, but eventually realised I could cover my face with a scarf. I'd just gone for a walk and didn't realise how dangerous these things are.

  • i live on that fen well be4 i moved downunder

  • I Want Revenge! bit . ly/jerku

  • Just for information:

If you see a lot of crows then their probably rooks.

If you see one rook then its probably a crow!

Lovely to see this. From a St Ives bwoy.

  • Yeah, ive seen this quite a few times, happens when its been really dry, usually in spring or summer, in particular when seeds have just been sown. Its an economical problem, as seeds get blown away!

  • I witnessed such an event first hand and it was amazing. Beautiful video.

  • thanks. where did you see a fen blow?

  • How moving. Eeerie choice of music. Am writing about the fens; this has been inspiring.

  • cheers. music is "funeral music for perez prado" by "nurse with wound"

  • i work on a farm just outside of Bourne, we have lost crops when the soil blows like that. it's a really problem.

  • Thanks for your kind comments. I was actually caught in the storm and thought I was never going to make it out of there. It's the only time I've ever seen anything like this.

  • This is a great piece of film. I live near here.

  • this is beautiful.

  • unbelieveable - i am from cambridge and what you have filmed is something i have never seen. i loved the crows that the mist eventualy revealed.. i will take inspiration from this
