  • Thats great! I love the Professionals and its great to see some locations that have not been redeveloped or modified beyond recognition. Sometimes when you see locations 30 years on, its so frightening and sad to see whats happening to London. Great work! when's the next one??

  • @targatop1

Thank you very much for your comment! I'm glad you like this vid and I hope I can do another one when I find the time and the money for another trip to London. It would be nice if I could travel to London again next year because I love the city.......and visiting Pros locations is simply fantastic.

  • excellent work.. :)

  • @raydoyle45

    Thank you very much! :-)

Greetings from Bavaria to Bodie and Doyle in New Zealand!

  • Cool presentation, obviously a big project, I love the Professionals, can't get enough of it - The fact that it was mainly filmed on location and not in some garbage badly lit studio gave it instant respectability and credibility for me. Combined with the cars, the actors and the storylines it was perfect.

  • @29Amps

Thank you very much for stopping by to watch and comment! I love Pros location hunting and that vid is very near and dear to my heart, so I'm very pleased other Pros fans enjoy it as well and take their time to let me know.

  • My apologies! That video was removed, but I'll post another one that's still on YouTube on a personal message to you. Again thank you for letting us see your travellogue.

  • Excellent presentation! What I find interesting is that while the structures basically remained the same, two things in particular changed: businesses (laundromat became a boutique(?)) and parked cars (sedans replaced by compact fuel-efficient Cooper Mini-wanabes)! I went to London myself last year (Look for "Stop the Car, Luigi!" on YT) and didn't have as much fun as you did, apparently. Maybe next year when I'm a little more solvent...

  • Absolutely brilliant! What a lot of hard work and thought you've put into that...fantastic..its like nothing has changed! Magical feeling!

  • @cam68

  • @thinnestlizzy

I'm really glad you enjoyed this vid as I had a great time doing it and visiting all the locations!! Thank you very much for watching and commenting!

  • I really enjoyed this. I live so close to these locations, I should really go and have a look. What are the volunteers for??? 5*

  • Oh yes, you should really go and have a look!! I wish I lived in London **sighs**

Oh, the volunteers....I didn't manage to find the row of graves Doyle and Cowley are walking along at Kensal Green during one of Doyle's visions and as this is a large area to cover, I'm looking for volunteers to help me find them next time I come to London ;-)

Thank you very much for stopping by to watch and comment!

  • Thanks for reply. I live close to Pinewood studios. I will pop over to Kensal and have a look. Count me in :-)

  • Excellent!! **adds another name to the list**

    Thank you very much!!

  • At last I am finding time to watch all the vids I missed when the PC was down! This is excellent and love the choice of song. (Can I add my name to the list of volunteers?)

Been chatting up any more security guards lately?! *g*

  • **adds another name to the list** ;-)

Hmm, and I seem to be chatting up London security guards only, lol.

Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment :-)

  • Angel...great vid...you know my plans and dreams and some day I hope to be there and .... add me to your list as volunteer ...yeah! Hugs and love.

  • Ahh, thanks for letting me know! I'm glad you enjoyed watching the vid as I had a lof of fun doing it (and chasing around in the streets of London to find the locations ) !!

  • Angelfish, you must've had a really exciting trip! Thank for sharing these! Hugs

  • Yes, that trip was very, very exciting and a lot of fun :-)

Thanks a lot for stopping by to watch and comment!!

  • Hi Angelfish,

An excellent and very interesting video. I had to use Wembley Park Underground recently, and remembered Bodie having been following a suspect there in Fugitive.

As I said, very good :)

    Take care,

    Jason

  • Hi Jason,

    Did you re-enact the scene ;-) ???

It was very exciting for me.....this was my first time in London and the first place I visited was Doyle's flat in DIAG. You should have seen the big grin on my face when I got there :-)

I hope I can go to London again next year!

Thank you so much for stopping by to watch and comment!

    All the best

    Anja

  • So you saw Doyle's flat... was he in? :D

Next time you should visit Chambers St. (...beware the similarly-titled Chamber Street on the other side of the water nr. Tower Hill) near Bermondsey Underground to see the set used in 'Foxhole on the Roof'. If you use Google Maps you can actually see the area on the roof of the warehouse where the shelter was constructed! The 'hospital' on the other side has been pulled down now, though. I'd like to see hat one day.

  • So you saw Doyle's flat... was he in? :D

    **whistles innocently** LOL

I was near Tower Hill to visit Trinity Square in September and will add Chambers Street to my list for next year!

  • What a great way to brighten a dull morning up - really enjoyed these, so looking forward to seeing them for myself next year!

  • You'll have a great time :-).

Oh, and I need volunteers who go to Kensal Green with me to find the row of graves where Doyle and Cowley walk. Can I add your name to the list ? ;-)

Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!

By the way, we're having snow!!

  • Very interesting, Anja. I like this "Before" and "After" sort of stuff.

Way back in the early '80s, I actually got to stand outside Rita's launderette. But not as a Pros buff....my aunt was running errands that day, and I was told to stand there and wait for her. For a kid of barely ten, who couldn't wait to do some exploring, that proved VERY frustrating indeed.

While I was there, some people were busy doing their laundry inside. One of them could have been our Doyle, but I'll never know.

  • Okay, as a 10 year old girl, I would have been standing outside the launderette fidgeting like crazy and impatiently waiting for my aunt to come out again.

As a 40 year old Pros buff, I had a happy smile on my face! :-)

Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!

  • Angelfish, what a trip and what an experience! Thanks for sharing this with your mates and the song btw is perfect xx

  • Thank YOU ;-)

In less than a year, you'll embark on that trip as well :-)

  • It was my pleasure....roll on next year for a bigger and better location tour....:D

  • ..and more reenactments ;-)

  • Well done' these are great!!!!

  • PHEW, I'm glad you like it :-)

Thanks for watching and commenting and a big thanks for finding the locations and all your help when I was planning my trip!!

  • Cheers angelfish. It was very interesting seeing all the different locations and how they have changed over the years.

  • It's really awesome to see all these places, Some have changed dramatically and at some places, you think that time has stopped about thirty years ago.

Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment! :-)
