At 1:19 - 1:23, I think it's out of tune. just saying. Patti Smith, or Regina Spektor could've done better. But hey, Bob Dylan song is a Bob Dylan song. Hm, interesting interpretation. I always viewed this song as very witty, slightly bitter and unapologetic. A way of Dylan's way of saying (to Rotola) 'I don't need you, suit yourself for leaving' or something of that kind. But still, this sadness twist to it sounds very good. Never heard of Kesha before this, very impressive.
I really like how Kesha does this song. The thing with covers is to put your own stamp on it, and she certainly does. A good song is a good song no matter who's singing it. Sometimes you have to throw preconceived notions about an artist out the window and just let music stand on its own merits. It's a unique approach to this Dylan classic. And please remember how unique Dylan is as well!

So i'll be honest. I clicked this video with the intention to judge Ke$ha for even trying to sing this song. My mind was in no way open, but upon hearing the song, my respect for Kesha as an artist has increased 100%. I have to be honest, she did a beautiful job.

She has managed to ruin such a masterpiece. Her crying is too redundant. It's "Don't Think Twice" by Bob Motherfucking Dylan, and it's such a powerful song, it didn't need kesha crying to be considered emotional; it' s exaggerated and pathetic, I can't stand this version.

This is not the trainwreck I expected. There's something real there although I've always seen the song as more bitter than grieving. I think the challenge of listening to modern covers of songs is the change in singing trends. When this song was written, people sang straight - especially with folk songs. We prized a clear crisp voice and the holding of notes (think Joan Baez). Now vocal stylings are in and so a cover sounds more like this (or like Jessica Simpson's cover of These Boots...)
I had no idea this gal could really sing. I love this version of the song -- it's so raw and emotional. Fabulous. I wish she'd do more stuff like this! I hate her other stuff.

I didn't expect to like this version, but actually I'm really impressed. You get a chance to listen to her pure talented voice and to me it's very soulful. I understand why some people won't like this, perhaps because of Ke$ha's past music attempts or because of the minimal instrumentation, but I really think people should give this a chance!

Whether he never could or whether he never wanted to classify his music I think that music is an interpretation rather than a fact. And for that I think Dylan is proud
They see her as being a drunk crazy slut ot something. I understand that because of her hit songs, but that's not all the songs she has! She has songs with meaning and messages. How about Lucky, Let Me Go, Invisable, Coming Unglued, Bad Dream, Good To Be Queen, Sunday morning ect. People don't know anything about Ke$ha and say its terrible that she sang this and got good reviews for it. People who don't know anything about her should shut their mouths.
Wow this song really shocked me, I had no idea of what she was capable of. If only all her stuff sounded like this, she could contribute so much to the music world.
I am a huge Dylan fan, Kesha not so much but I am a musician and I play a jazz version of this song. I focus on the musical concepts, she focused on the emotional idea. Fan or not, I give her props for bringing the rawness of heartbreak. Music is after all, art and she brought a very human aspect to an already amazing song.
Oh, there's actually a bunch of old, unreleased demos that show off a pretty good voice. But singing is just not the trademark she's known for ever since she made it big with Tik Tok.

Hm, interesting interpretation. I always viewed this song as very witty, slightly bitter and unapologetic. A way of Dylan's way of saying (to Rotola) 'I don't need you, suit yourself for leaving' or something of that kind. But still, this sadness twist to it sounds very good. Never heard of Kesha before this, very impressive.

I really like how Kesha does this song. The thing with covers is to put your own stamp on it, and she certainly does. A good song is a good song no matter who's singing it. Sometimes you have to throw preconceived notions about an artist out the window and just let music stand on its own merits. It's a unique approach to this Dylan classic. And please remember how unique Dylan is as well!

This is not the trainwreck I expected. There's something real there although I've always seen the song as more bitter than grieving. I think the challenge of listening to modern covers of songs is the change in singing trends. When this song was written, people sang straight - especially with folk songs. We prized a clear crisp voice and the holding of notes (think Joan Baez). Now vocal stylings are in and so a cover sounds more like this (or like Jessica Simpson's cover of These Boots...)

I didn't expect to like this version, but actually I'm really impressed. You get a chance to listen to her pure talented voice and to me it's very soulful. Whether he never could or whether he never wanted to classify his music I think that music is an interpretation rather than a fact. I think musicians in general have great respect for the fact that music is grey rather than black and white or concrete. I think Ke$ha shows that understanding with this recording. I am a huge Dylan fan, Kesha not so much but I am a musician and I play a jazz version of this song. I focus on the musical concepts, she focused on the emotional idea.
