you remind me in Syria, there is a city that is famous in these staff, and it called it "Nawaeer" in Hama city. it is very old technique used to drive the water to the farms, but they used boxes instead of the square metal, and those boxes hold the water from the river, I am enjoyed watch them working. check this
What do you think would happen if you stacked a few more coils on top of the first and strap them all at once with U-bolts or something to where the pick-ups stagger so that water is always being added. Then at the middle your axle is a large enough rigid pipe to collect the accumulative flow fastened to the wheel and carry the weight, set in or on bearings, have one universal coupling at the end of the pipe and a cap on the other end. Drill it large enough for the hoses to insert and be sealed?
Wouldn't wedge shaped fins make more force concentrating the water towards the middle of the V shape and cutting through the water? Well in that case, cones would be best. And if you gave them a screw tine maybe you could have the water spinning it for some desirable effect on the velocity.through the hose... maybe you can stack cones width wise OOOOOOO to get more torque and enlarge the wheel to distribute the power more consistently...,
Or maybe it only needs to be a long pan... like a drywall 12" pan with a sharp bottom. Looking like an enlongated pyramid. DO you see what I'm going for? Maybe those eddy currents can produce centrifugal force and put that to use if the cup were shaped to produce the swing of the push. Like a dolphin leaping out of the water.
Hey I'm just trying to share what has been obsessive thought. So many unanswered questions. Experiments to run... wish I had a shop and some materials to forge...
just a thought. this could be used to produce electricity at the same time, with a simple alternator. through gear reduction you could some pretty high rpm's from an alternator.
The intake could be reversed to let the pressure of the stream to assist with ramming more water in but the 'piping wheel' and water wheel would have to be separated with a gear in between to have them run opposite directions.
would it have generated more volume if the intake was facing the opposite direction, so the natural movement of the water would have forced more water with each revolution. just wondering? great job, love it!!
great selection music

How big would the wheel need to be then?

@RCvolunteer1978 Thats the beauty of this type of pump, needs very little movement. It pumps all the time to a storage tank.

Couldnt this make energy and power itself
brightshadow6 3 months ago
sure; but you won't get water any higher than the top of the spiral. and i'm pretty sure that would work with only one loop.

It's like an Archimedes screw with some extra coils at the bottom part. A very old design. Nicely done.

Reverse the intake mounted on the weel and make the scoops lagers then the speed will increase!!!

reverse it and let the pressure of the stream assist the water pressure. Like a ram effect.

humanity6fl9 6 months ago
@humanity6fl9 No! Because gravity will empty the water from the intake and the pump will not work. Think again or explain better..
