  • How did you handle the hitboxes?

  • man can u post the code of this to me?????

    thanx

  • lol, when they stand there teabagging.

  • My money's on Akuma.

  • Really like the excellent fight taking place on the monitor in the background.

  • xD street fighter

  • niiiice

  • Why i need visual studio to ?? for installing it lol

  • problem is that the attacks just do too much damage

  • did u create a creator to adjust the hitboxes and frame data? or did u do them in code?

  • where can i type something for programming ,i use unity

  • @misterxxx165 lol :S I reccomend you pick up Head First: Programming :P

  • can anyone teach me to programming and to scripting

  • @misterxxx165

yeah sure just open any kind of scripting language you want, and type in "awesome shooter" then press enter, there you go.

  • @misterxxx165 Buy a book! Game Programming Development, C++ Game Programming, or XNA Game Studio 4.0, etc... and Download Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional.

  • Wow, pretty cool. I'd love to see the source file for this.

  • do a raging daemon!

  • Wow, this is amazing! A very nice idea, must have been a lot of work! :-)

  • Im making my own game using xna too, i know how hard is to make what this guy have done. gratz man, never give up!

  • lol at ending its like he can't fart or maybe hes preparing to mega fart O.o Thumbs up if u agree XDD

  • What is this made with?

  • it's probably a per-pixel collision using the immediate pixel color as a collision.

  • very nice... how did you check the collision ?

  • pretty nice its a 9000

  • lol mugen looks 100 times better than this XD

  • Nice, I am working on something similar. I'm still trying to get the fighting logic completed. If you know of any links that can help please let me know. Thanks.

  • cool looks a bit like SF2

  • i was also under the impression that knowledge of C++ can also help with using XNA?

  • nice work

  • Punches and kicks are a little too slow. But otherwise a great game.

  • I heard that somehow its possible to make games for Xbox 360 by learning Visual C# and using XNA .

    Is it true ?

  • @WiggyRap Yes xP

  • YAY!!!!!!!! lol anyway thnx for telling me and great vid I love the reflection of the characters fighting in the computer screen :)

  • Yes. C# is the programming language you need to know in order to use XNA studio with Visual Studio

  • @WiggyRap You've probably learned by now, but C# is the language integrated into XNA.

  • Yes but you need to join "XNA Creators Club" and ist cost ~ 200 Dollar to play your game on your Xbox360

  • this is why they should block youtube in work environments. ;o

  • if you look in the inside the tv you can see them fighting too

  • good job good game......

very nice is,we see the fight on the monitor in office too^^

  • Good stuff, I'm new to this game creating thing but I'm excited about seeing what gamers would put in their own games.

I'm not concerned with tech specs for games. I want to see good ideas come to life.

  • You should port this to the zune hd!!!!

Like seriously, the hd just came out with 4.3 firmware update to support 3d gaming!!!

  • nice sound effect when they block

  • good job !!!

  • this is aweosme id buy it on the xbox anyday hahha lmao

    good job

  • Today there are programm which find the mistakes you made for you.

  • Most major problems aren't problems of syntax. You pointed out just how easy those are to fix. The biggest difficulty is in organization and referencing, as well as unforseen parts that are missing or don't mesh well. It's mostly just stuff that comes with practice.

  • whatever, # of lines dont mean its better game like people thing # of polygons = better art

just from your comment you dont know anything since you had to point out saying more line of code = bettergame.

  • What are you 5? # of lines of codes = more complexity and more code which has to be reviewed during troubleshooting. And for your information I have more than 15 years of programming experience. Again I ask, have you actually finished as game? Clearly not.

  • lies

  • the simpler you can make it the better

  • exactly

  • dude, xreev0x, chill out.

at least he/ she is trying to write a decent program and if u hadn't read the more info place, he/she didn't finish writing the program yet.

btw, who cares if "You clearly haven't finished a program in your life". ASTONISHLY, half the ppl in the world DON'T write programs. OMG, ground-breaking isn't it?

People that r trying don't need u to trash talk them.

  • Dude, my post was a reply to "deluxdookie" idiot who said that this game was lame and simple. He thinks that the only error are syntax errors and that this program could be written in no-time-flat. I think this is a very good program (if you look at my original post, I give him props). Why YouTube didn't cluster my last post with my previous is beyond me.

  • o.........

    i'm sorry then.

is there a glitch with youtube now?

like, all the replies are on top, not under the original posts.

  • It has been doing that for a long time now. Normally, after an hour to two it will get moved to the correct spot, but sometimes not.

Don't worry about your comment, it was my fault for not specifying who I was talking too. Poor netiquette on my behalf.

  • This comment was directed to DeuluxDookie, not theflamingjamiesan.

  • Hey can you release the source???

  • ripped models ftw

  • The screen in the background is mirroring the actions! Simple yet awesome eye-candy.

    Thumbs up and keep programming.

  • you an see them fighting on the computer screen

  • not truexd

    ist verry hard to make

  • lol...Dumbshit no its not...learn XNA then try to speak an opinion...until then sit back and shut the fuck up!!!

  • dude you are very retarded its a programming language he made the game from scratch tar tar lol

  • we all know it not the real street fighter he typed the code out and made this game himself using XNA game studio so please no more dumb questions

  • why do you say that?

  • You are a noob, XNA is a script language ppl use to make games (for PC and XBOX360) so he made it itself and it's very hard to make something that is nice. Because u need to put 1000lines of codes before u have something that is nice and works nice.

  • You need more than 1000 lines of a high-level programming language that even a kid could easily learn to make something really nice.

  • ya but that would cause him 24/7 on pc

    without education or anything

  • 1000 line aint nothing

    line 1: main()

    line 2: {

    line 3: blah#

    line4: }

    pertty much that.

  • LOL

  • Dude, you're a n00b, too.

It's obvious you don't understand much about programming, let us programmers defend ourselves.

In reality, it's NOT extremely hard to make something nice if you have solid mental conceptions of what needs to be done and how you're going to do them.

It's only hard if you're just dicking around and adding stuff willy nilly, trying to force a mess of code to do something that counters its logic flow.

  • you know nothing

  • @Yuyuyami That's better animation than Neo Geo.

  • @Yuyuyami U got to start somewhere huh?

  • @Yuyuyami ur a programmer right ?

  • how did you downlode the engine ?

  • would microsoft even let you realese this on the marketplace>?

  • this is prety good but the best XNA game is dishwasher the dude who made that game would make a shit load of cash

  • I check you on that my friend.

the Dishwasher : Dead Samurai , is the best arcade game ive played so far.

  • James Silva was the guy who made The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai.

  • haha check the computer screen on the desk :D

  • to learn.. for fun.. there could be many reasons..

  • my god thats awsome looking the way u made the models etc :]

  • Could you guide me or send me some code, I'm really want to know how to change screen and action event.

  • nossa massa em cara vo baixar o programa

  • yeah the BG sucks, I'm terrible at art ;)

Lastly I wanna say, there are some technical issues with making a 2D fighter in xna. Not enough room in this lil' box but a lot of things adding together. The sprites need to be huge and the xna filesize limit is too low for it. Look at SSF2:HDR,. they had to keep the SNES anim frames and the dl is still much bigger than XNA's max.

I wanna re-make this but as a sidescroller to reduce sprite #, but seems like every other xna game is like that atm :/

  • But it's still great:-)

  • It depends on haw many sprites u load at beginning, I made a really big game with gigabytes of sprytes and it ran fine. Only load the sprites you dont need.

I also found that when you inport alot of files into the xna content it hase a memory IO exeption. To fix this you have to inport the files1-10 at a time, and debug in between each time.

    Nice game!

  • @theflamingjamiesan is xna free

  • @theflamingjamiesan I like the background it looks like a classic 2D fighting game =)

  • creators . xna . com has everything you need to get into this, assuming you have some prior programming knowledge. You'll need Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition, search their site for that. The help file has loads of nice step by step guides to putting sprites or even 3D models on the screen, play music, react to controller input etc.

  • Thanks for all the comments guys, sorry it took me so long to reply.. Unfortunately I lost the code for this in a HD crash. I was still learning the basics of OOP when I made this so the code was a horrible mess and I never bothered to back it up :(

This wasn't Mugen (I dont have the skill for that, but took a few ideas from it)

I think it's possible for someone to do an XNA Mugen, definately for PC, although the new version of XNA allows picture import from flash mem sticks so who knows?

  • @theflamingjamiesan if you standardize movements with unique ID for each essential move and number of sprites of it you can do a mugen-like

  • is this xnA mugen?

  • hey guys..this is an awesome work ..can you please guide me to the resources and tutorials you used to build this game...i would really appreciate any help u cud give me..

  • Will we be seeing more of this I would like to see If there is more charcters and backgrounds the background kind of sucked be more creative with you backgrounds

  • I would like to learn how this is done myself. Is there a tutorial on this around? I try asking everyone else but they can't explain or they won't tell me. I really want to make games!!

  • lol! Zt0x. yuor just a fu** retard who doesnt know nothing about coimputers who is about 3 years old typing random sh** onthe internet.

  • your one to talk, you cant even spell worth crap

  • maybe becaise i type fast? and maybe because sometimes i spell incorrectly?

    Think before you speak!

  • or you could actually look at what your typing.or read it,so you don't look like an idiot

  • You don't spell any better.

  • except i didn't miss spell 2/3 of the sentence

  • WaKaKaKa

  • luv it! Would you share the sourcecode with me. I am trying to make a boxing game and want to see how you did this

  • can you create a game for the first xbox

not xbox 360 but the first xbox that came out.

  • No.. Only the 360

  • Mugen is easier.... but still cool video

  • But MUGEN sucks. :D

  • Hah. MUGEN is amazing...

  • MUGEN is more developed >=3

  • Could people convert mugen over to an xna game?

  • what is XNA

  • I ... love ... this ... game ...

You could make this good enough that I might buy it :O

  • Pretty nice start. My favorite detail is the mirrored fight going on on the computer screen.

  • I downloaded all of the stuff for xna

and when i open up c# and open a new xbox 360 game, its this long code and i have no idea whatsoever to doa and will somebody please help me! i want to know if its hard or if im just making it hard! plz reply! thx

  • first start with learning C#, if you want to maybe i can help out, as i am a expiernced C# programmer.

  • U could help me coz I'm 14 and pretty lazy but I really want to make games!!

  • Okay, how do you want to do this, AIM MSN or I send you tuts, or whatever, up to you how we do this.

  • Okay, how do you want to do this, AIM MSN or I send you tuts, or whatever, up to you how we do this.

  • already sent you a personal message!! add me to msn!!

  • k will do.

  • If you are LAZY, then just give up programming, its gonna be way to hard for a lazy person like you.

  • actually I started yesterday and I honestly hope u know me well, as a matter of fact enough to know that I speak German Dutch English SPanish and Italian and I'm still lazy, I just said it for a laugh man chill

  • Why do you hope that he knows you? lol

  • If you are seriously lazey, then don't bother. Its one of the hardest things to learn.

  • increase the frame rate. it's too slow :)

  • i love the way the action is mirrored on the computer screen... :-)

  • yeah,i noticed that too,it's awesome!!

  • yeahh

  • Owned. o.O

  • damage is too much. take it down a little.

  • read the description -_-

  • didnt read it, but now i understand

  • Xna is a framework for C# express that helps you create games for pc and xbox360 easier!

  • What is XNA? I wanna check it out.

  • Its a framework for C# express, both are avalible for free. It basically handles all the 'plumbing' for your games so you can concentrate on the actual game itself.

  • hehe nice work

  • Pretty cool... especially the slow mo ;)
