It's about oral sex, but instead of ejaculating the lead singer of the clash had a rock come out of his urethra. The girl choked on it (so she "forgot to swallow it") and died. Then everyone forgot her name. At least that's what I think. Kind of dark for a Clash song.

This song is about an unintentional baby because of reckless sex.... euphamisms abound...

@PickMyLenis I don't really know what lover's rock means...but the song says "Nobody remembers that baby's name" and "When she had forgot that thing that she had to swallow" so I assume it's that she forgot to take birth control

Well, maybe not more consistant, but made more good albums. The Ramones didn't make much after End of the Century. Mind you, the Clash weren't around as long as The Ramones. I also heard they were amazing live.

I'll go with that. If you said best punk band ever, I'd have to argue in favour of The Ramones though. They were a more consistent band. London Calling was a better album than the Ramones ever did though. Even better than Ramones, and an album I highly revear, Rocket to Russia.
