Nothing's wrong with an androgynous character, Only bad criticism is involved by mistaking their gender, I dont think even a female character would dress up like this, they'd be more ''perverse'' :x

This game looks pretty fun. Can anyone tell me if you can switch to a different character you want to use while exploring towns/dungeons?

You can't. The only character switching is on the middle of the story, cause the group of your character gets shared: you can decide wich part of the group lead.. Ineed they'll meet again, so that's the only character switching..
