I know =P I am English lol The reason I call it a commercial is because a very small number of people actually watched Sailor Moon here whereas it was huge in America so I have aimed this video at the North American audience rather than the British =]

The dolls weren't the best, but it was still totally awesome to find them in a local store. It was hard to find anything sailormoon back then (1995-1996) for me.

I remembered getting these dolls in late 1995 when the show came out. But I only had Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, Moon Brooch, necklace, a pair of slippers, and a ring when I was 8.

But in 1996, I destroyed my dolls and couldn't remember what happened to the rest of my stuff. <:(

It aired on the Fox Kids Channel on Sky Digital between 1998 to 2003 and also on ITV1 in 2003. Only the first two seasons of the English DiC dub were shown on Fox Kids and the first thirteen episodes on ITV. MVM Films released the two series on VHS and DVD between 2002 to 2005. Woolworths and Toys R Us sold the dolls, wand, plushies and playing cards and various comic stores sold the manga. Fox Kids became Jetix which is now Disney XD. You could meet SM at Butlins in 2002.

This commercial had the error dolls because Mars, Jupiter, and Venus's shoes were too tall.

Yup. This commercial was made in 1996 to promote the original American Bandai dolls which all had the wrong shoes, wands and were very ugly lol. However this old commercial was used to promote the Canadian/American 2000/2001 Irwin Toys dolls in the UK which were very accurate and were actually quite pretty.

Nope. This commercial was made in 1995 before Sailor Moon even came out in America. The voice is provided by an unknown female employee of Bandai America.

Thanks for putting this one up! They played a similar one here in Oz, but it also showed the Queen Beryl doll & the cheesy voice over bitch was all "Oh no girls! It's the evil Queen Beryl! A little moon power will take care of her!" lol And for those asking about the wrong footwear, these adds use the prototype figures, the actual dolls had the right shoes.

What a shitty commercial. It really pissed me off how they marketed Sailor Moon in America. Even the creator said the American dolls looked like creepy old Japanese women. And they were poor quality because i remember the legs would always pop off.

The advert is on a free Sailor Moon epsiode 1 VHS I got back in 2002 which came free with the adventure dolls.

I got a digitial camera and filmed the screen as I played it as I havent seen it anywhere on the internet so I uploaded it.
