  • I was at the Orlando 91 show. F*** unbelieveable time for music, the clash of classic punk, rock, rap, alternative, grunge and I was16 and triping balls.

  • There used to be a video on YT of Bob Dylan doing a live improvised version of Shelter from the Storm, but it was removed :( On the brightside, i don't have to decide which is my favourite video anymore, thanks for this upload, it's truly stunning

  • Beautiful.

  • THIS IS A SONG I DID NOT CARE TO PLAY AT MY FUNERAL...AWESOME!!!

  • Am I the only one who gets misty-eyed when I see this clip?

  • The other day I heard one the stupidest thing

I ever heard in my life.

A local radio dj in Florida said Avril Lavigne

is the new Siouxsie, with all due respect to

Avril there is no comparison to Siouxsie

    she is unique.

    I guess it's just a Florida thing.

  • @vellotrol whoever said that should get bitch-slapped.

  • @thevoid99

You have no idea how culturally painful

is to live in Florida brother, by the way

you like the movie lost in translation just

cause of Scarlett Johansson don't you? LOL!

  • @vellotrol actually. "lost in translation" is my all-time favorite film for a whole lot more than that. it just wowed me from start to finish for a film that i know is very arty, plot-less film. it opened doors for me to get into films.

  • @vellotrol Ha! Promoting Avril for sure, the guy is an ass. There is no replacing Siouxsie, not even those who imitate her can come close.

  • her voice! she is stunning!

  • Simplesmente brutal, será sempre das minhas favoritas!!

  • God save the Queen S.S!.

  • amazing, stunning performance. Siouxsie's voice is so pure and angelic. This is a rare song in which I prefer this particular live performance over the studio recorded performance. I wish Siouxsie and the Banshees would re-record this song in the same style in which this live performance is done. I love the heavier sounding drum line and accordion.

  • @aidenkritch I agree..this version is absolutely the best...I don't like the slower studio version...Long live Siouxsie...

  • I know one thing...she puts Lady Gaga to shame!!!! Long live Siouxsie!!!! You are simply the most elegant singer, ever!!!

  • Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.

  • Beautiful Song... Its sounds ecstatstic live! Long live Siouxsie Sioux!

  • Fantástico, uma das bandas que mais marcou a minha juventude e rebeldia.

  • @Marina37Silvestre Somos dois, foram tempos inesqueciveis!Grande banda,Siouxsie & The Banshees !

  • DO YOU HAVE THE REST ??? Saw them in Southern Cali on same tour - spellbinding they were - she is beautiful - would love to see more of this if you have it...

  • Ridiculously good.

  • in 3:13 it's really lovely !

  • watching it again so I can get hypnotized once more...I like when she "sshhh" and everyone literally shuts up...the queen has spoken

  • i litterally just discovered them last night from a cd i just happen to get with a few thousand others (twice apon a time-the singles) now i'm totally in love with siouxsie's voice and will now hunt down the banshees and the creatures music.

as a drummer myself,i also don't know how i missed a drummer like budgie. he's great.

for those interested, this live video version is the exact version on the cd "twice apon a time-the singles"

  • красивая какая siouxsie/!

  • New to them. What an amazing band.

  • Siouxsie is such a sweetie

  • omg. this is the best version EVER.

  • You know I've seen several versions of this song online & this one seems to be "lit from behind." There's something positively haunting, five minutes where time stood still in rural Western Washington State. Five minutes where the truth of life & hurt & love & pain & longing was carefully & lovingly explained to us.

  • @Jonnobaas I agree. This haunting version moves me everytime I listen to it. You last sentence said it best.

  • @Jonnobaas I saw her in NC on this tour. She went on as the sun was going down. Very tricky for the lighting techs with the natural light changing so fast. & probably different for every site depending on the orientation of the stage.l

  • Picked up the guitar because of this band.

  • This woman was LIGHTYEARS ahead of her time.

  • I saw them on this tour (lollapalooza) in Atlanta. It was a sweltering day and they had the early evening slot as the sun was setting. The sunset was beautiful and they had so much awesome energy coming off the stage. They blew every band away with their awesomeness.

  • magnificent

  • jon klein is such a hottie!!!! it took me a while to realize hes the same guitarist from Specimen. awesome

  • I got to see them on this Tour.

  • Why i had to born in my shit-hole country and never had a chance to hear them live! I bet I wouldn't mind to die straight after that.

  • This song kicks ass...what a great performance. Why isn't this type of music still around today? Everything seems like garbage when compared to this masterpiece!

  • This song and performance kick ASS!!!! This is literally my favorite song of all time...it really helped me cope with my father's death also.

  • Super, que perfeição..... amo 3>

  • Keep trying, Florence + the Machine... I will only be happy if you reach the heights (and depths) that Siouxsie and the Banshees did.

  • I tear up when they show the clip of the beautiful couple at 3:14 they look so innocent and happy and their body language to each other is so pure!!!!!

  • LSD

  • @NewMARKINTHEHEART

    Yeah, me too. Well put.

  • I was at this show, peaking on acid during Siouxsie's set. So awesome. And so awesome to see this again, thanks a ton for posting it. The sound is amazing for a live show.

  • min 3:14 looks like those puuunks are on acid...

  • perfection

  • Actually, Esloda, it sounded even better.

  • @Esloda, actually, the sound was better.

  • SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL...i love you lady Sioux!

  • wow

  • This song was one of my all time favourites by any bad from the very first time I heard it on that CD. It's nice to know there are others out there who feel as strongly about it as i do. I'm glad that I found this .... i've missed it.

  • Love you

  • i see them play in dallas texas in 91 at lollapalooza... i am go greatful i had the chance to see this amazing band.. gawd i miss the days you guys.

  • I watch this 3 or 4 times a day. It cleanses my blood & brain. Nothing compares to the truth of this performance of this song.

  • cool hat on the guitar man!

  • just remembered how much i love siouxsie

  • i yelled out i love u susie and she looked and pointed at me.........it took me a long time to see it on you tube but holy sh.. its alot louder then it was in enumclaw.

  • Phenom performance! Siouxsie & the guys are a class act and very talented. This live version is flawless and their performance is spot on!

  • Siouxsie kicks Florence's ass

    Niemals hinfort gezerrt,

    nah bei dir

bis zu meines Herzens letztem Schlag

bis zu meines Herzens letztem , flüchtigen Schlag

  • Siouxsie Rules!!!

  • This performance of this song always does it for me - always brings my soul to the same place. Isn't that holy or something? I don't know, but no prayer I was ever taught in the Catholic Church EVER did ANYTHING like this song, its live performance & its lyrics do for me.

  • @Jonnobaas yes, i completely agree!

  • I don't think I have ever seen anything like this in my life. It still brings everything to every moment I have ever experienced. It is the Alpha, it is the DNA, it is the love. Those who see this & who don't see the complete love, I give you my smile & my guidance for the moment you do for it is the apex of everything that is beautiful.

  • majestic, imperial Siouxsie

  • magical

  • Do they still tour??

  • nice song :)

  • i was 16 and she was tops in my world, After the Lolapalooza show, we went to Catch 22 down town Toronto. They let me in,, and the chix were all Siouxsie like, Awesome!!!

  • that atmosphere must have been magic. know days its not about the spoken words they just want loud noise and cheap thrills. Siouxsie is part of music history ..

  • Que buena rola pero creo que devotchka se la rifo mejor =)

  • Wow, great one, even better than studio version.

  • Please, don't stop to hear Devotchka, because they introduced us this song. I like Devotchka, and I prefer them, it´s only loyalty XD don't be sad.

  • I saw this tour. She opened with Last Beat of My Heart, which just happens to be my favorite love song of all time. I have to say, they were the tightest live band I ever saw.

Without a doubt, the best show I've ever attended.

  • @Czernoblog where they really? was the sound as good as it sounds here?

  • Perfect....

  • i love this music the last beat of my heart...................tatiana sioxie

  • I caught them on the Superstition tour, right after this one. They were legendary. one of the best sounding live gigs ever. something about Siouxsie in a skin tight dark purple bodysuit singing "Trust In Me". oooooh.

And damned good energy on stage, from everybody.

  • More memorable, beautiful songs than any other artist for me.

  • Amazing live version - I miss the Banshees :-(

  • Kiss them for me ....I love you <3

  • this song with this live version was released on the "twice upon a time" LP...one of the greatest songs with excellent prducing of musis instruments...

  • oh how I wish I could see the rest of this concert.

  • pardon my ignorance but who is the guitarist wishing he could upstage the goddess?

  • Wonderful !!!!

  • I was so outraged when I heard on the radio a local DJ

saying that Avril Lavigne is the new Siouxsie.

I guess it's a Florida Hillbilly thing my Gosh!

  • This took place the day after I proposed to my wife. Now we have been married for over 18 wonderful years. And I still love Siouxsie and the Banshees.

  • @xplodngboy

you are great !I'm 28 right now and I hope to have a marriage and a siouxsie-life like yours!

  • in this time (1991) they were great in the usa

kiss them for me was a huge hit and way played on heavy rotation by mtv

but who is the guy with the long hair ?

  • @ffm20zaheri Jon Klein is on guitar

  • Man!! I miss those days when music could be either as beautiful as this or heavy as hell. Today's crap can´t even be called music

  • This is sooo good, she is a star and no one can take it from her .

    Love her

  • I heard a local radio dj saying that Avril Lavigne is

the new Siouxsie, what a complete ignorant

No wonder he's Floridian Hill Billy country you

    know?

No offense to the other Floridians.

  • this is beautiful, I didn't know they were in that Lollapalooza, back then I was a big fan of them, but where I was living I couldn't get any fresh info about my fav artists (no internet of course), I never had the chance to see them live, but I'm very happy to see that after so many years she is still there, rocking the stage, proud an beautiful, with her powerful voice, I'm pretty sure she will delight us, at least, for another 20 years, we love u Siouxie. thxs for posting

  • Siouxie has been too underated in the mainstream pop music, its pretty sad. Oh well I like her so fuck what everyone else that doesn't like thier music...or her music.

  • i wish i was old enough to have seen them at the first lollapalooza with all of those bands that were playing at the time including NIN and jane's addiction. this is one of my favorite songs. ever.

  • I miss them.

  • I love her like Sade...such class and elegance

  • I was there in the front row! Me, Steven and Casey at the first show in Dallas. We had lawn seats, but rushed through the guards and hid beneath some people until Siouxsie came out! Still have the ticket and the amazing memory!

  • Awesome Band! Greets from Germany!!!

  • wow! i would like to be older to be there!!!

  • * sigh * Love This!

  • This performance is one of the crowning achievements of her (and Budgie's) career. Could have done without the twat in the hat though.

  • LOL

True, that spaz with the guitar really adds something special to this rendition... ROFL

  • HAH! Jon Klein? The moment would have never been the same without him. I was fortunate enough to meet him in San Diego. Awesome nice guy! Budgie was more of a twat. But you can't blame them when they get asked for an autograph at a bar. They were a really nice group of folks.

  • @darknostrils budgie rocks he probably thought you were ugly lol kabbalah matthewshepard

  • @KabbalahWestCoast HAHAH! yeah with my big giant painted hairdo showing up at their hotel bar after the show with a program, I'm sure Budgie was just THRILLED to see me and sign my program. Ok, I was probably harsh judging Budgie as a twat but I think it was more in response to someone else's comment in that he was more of one than Jon with whom I had a conversation. Being a drummer Budge seemed a bit tired anyway which you cant blame him for. Like I said, nice folks, the lot. miss 'em all.

  • @darknostrils he probably thought u were ugly budge rocks in person and VERY friendly! kabbalah matthew shepard

  • @KabbalahWestCoast HAH! You made me watch the video again just to reply to your comment. Awesome band. You just like jabbing folks with knives of nostalgia don't you? LOL!

  • I get misty-eyed to this song.

  • wonderful voice and presence. the best ever

  • I always come back to this video. I would have loved to have been there to soak in the vibe from this song. Very touching.

  • She is amazing. Hauntingly beautiful voice and lyrics.

  • Siouxsie is the greatest!! Class, beauty and integrity.

  • I love she shushes the audience and they just shut up.

I had seen her before Lollapalooza but didn't know what to expect, because they're not really a festival act, per se, but then they came out and did this song and it put the crowd at ease.

I was worried all the jocks who were worked up from moshing to Rollins Band and Body Count were going to boo her, but she looked so pretty up there, I think they had their feet in their mouths.

  • She is a class over own with a voice that pierces your heart with lyrics from her soul. She has been giving music that is loving to a graceful sorrow. She is at the top and will stay there

  • Soooo great!! The sound is splendid.

  • I'd kill for this to be released on it's best quality on DVD.

  • I agree....

  • this version was released on their second singles collection

  • Siouxsie is ageless to me. She can be 20, she can be 60. I will always love her!

  • That was the greatest tour lineup of all time! All of my favorite bands...

Jane's Addiction, Butthole Surfers, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Rollins Band, Nine Inch Nails, Living Colour, Ice-T And Body Count...great stuff.

  • Queen of darkness, yeah!

    i love this woman

  • <333

  • queen of darkness

  • nah nico or maybe jarboe are much more strictly dark.... siouxsie is just open to a wider range of feelings.

  • @mikebott yeah you're right, but for me Siouxie is the best, it's a subjective vision, Nico or Jarboe or Diamanda Galas are too much depressing for me.

  • i understand

  • so yummie... perfection..

  • STUNNING!!!!...Sooooooooooooo captivating!!!...even out doors in the daytime!!!.....& I'm sure this was just ONE of her DAY looks!...GORGEOUS!!!

  • Diese Musik geht unter die Haut!

  • I was able to see her when they came to Mexico so I feel proud of it because I am sure they´ll never come to mexico again!!!!!!

good for those who went to the concert!!!!

    Just like me..........

  • I was there in Enumclaw in 1991, but as I recall, the show was in full colour.

  • LOL ;) cute comment.

  • They're so in the zone, here. What a performance.

  • She will melt you

  • Big THANK YOU! 4 Posting, this made my day!

  • It is really sad she isn't more widely known. She is one of a handful of artists that has a solid, developed voice as well as a creative and well-executed presence. Got to see her live in 1987 and realize still how lucky I was to have caught a live show. This live version is one of the best ever!

  • @nevermorefarm she is not more widely known, because she and her group are not parels for pigs. She is godly one for chosen ones!!!
