  • Great explanation, finally!!

  • Nice one JR simply explained.

  • Really great and simple explanation. Thanks.

  • I have no idea what the problem is that people have with drawing and fading... this target nonsense and aiming at the target is complete nonsense. If you want to fade... aim left and open the club the amount you want to fade it... and visa versa with the draw... aim right and close the club the amount you wish to draw it. It is a feel thing .. not a lining with stupid sticks thing.

  • wow awesome tip, made very easy to understand

  • Simple, easy to understand explanation in 2 minutes. The use of the alignment sticks really make this one of the most effective draw/fade videos for visual learners

  • Just got back from the range.

Worked GREAT!...aimed right of target, closed the club face to aim at the target, used my normal swing plane which was right of target....ball goes out right of target and comes back on and pretty much dead down the center of what I mark as my 'fairway' on the range (I use two rows of markers about 30 yards apart that are lined up pretty well).

Fantastic draw shots right back on target after going way out right.

    Love it!

  • The simplest explanation. Very practical and works.

  • That might work for some people but for me I have my clubface a little open for a fade or a draw. With a draw come from the inside and feel like your swinging to the right and make sure the clubface is square or slightly closed at impact or youll shank. With a fade swing straight down your body line and hold off the release. This may not be the proper way to do it but it works for me.

  • Watch Woods comments on how to hit a fade. Move the ball in your normal stance one inch towards your feet and one inch to the left towards the leading foot (for a rh) Boom, nice soft fades!

  • Works every single time with out fail.

  • An open face creates clockwise spin (fade) and a closed face creates counter-clockwise spin (draw). I'm not sure what you folks are saying is wrong, but the principle is absolutely correct. Got to the range, get in your normal stance, but rotate the club face out slightly, and swing normally. If it doesn't go to the right for a right hander, then you have somehow defied the laws of physics, congrats.

  • That was a great simplify of the draw and fade, thank you! Guess I won't be getting it going on the first swing though

  • This entire thing is WRONG. The ball starts where face is aimed, curve is created by the difference between the face and the swing path. If he did what he says in this video the ball would miss the target by a long distance. Does Foley teach this to him?

  • Laws of the golf ball say thats false. sigh.....never an easy answer

  • its so simple.. just experiment what works for you on the range

  • cool

  • I assume his grip on the club is aligned to his body line, not the target line, correct?

  • @daskarmanghia His grip will be his normal grip, but he would aline the club to the target line and his body to the starting line before taking his grip. So therefore the club will be open for a fade and closed for a draw relative to his body line. I hope that makes sense.

  • @GolfalotTV This video is completely wrong information. What you are stating isn't true

  • @daskarmanghia absolutley

  • thanks justin,, you rock !

  • @ron09pauvre It's completely wrong-the revised ball flight laws say the ball STARTS where club face points and spin is down to difference between path and club face angle. Justin is dong this by feel-he just doesnt realise what he's doing
