I think you did quite a good job, it's a difficult song with or without music - the only advice I would give you is to loosen up your shoulders and set them back slightly, stand tall stretching your neck, tilt your chin back ever so slightly and stick out your chest; trust me on that - also time how long each note should be held for, how soft etc - but, only if you're wanting to sound like in the film, if not then don't, it sounds different to the one in the film but not in a bad way :)
Up until now, I've actually taken a break from most Broadway musical-type material, but now I'd love to do another song. I just want to make sure I get it right before I post it, though.
It's usually harder with the actual music, and that applies with everything I sing. Mostly because it's easier to keep up with the tempo in my head instead of physically keeping up with something in the background.
But neh, that's just me. It's different for most people.
Great!!! But slow down a bit :P

I was actually aiming for more of a George Hear-type-of-sound, but I appreciate the criticism.

I've never heard George Hear but I'll definitely be looking him up; and you're welcome :)

Actually, that's George Hearn. Sorry, typo on my part.

Ahhh that's ok, I make typos all the time! Have you thought about singing any new songs recently? I was thinking of doing one from Blood Brothers :)

you started off a bit flat, but maybe that was just me reacting to the lack of music.
Your voice is really good.

Very good. Not sure if it's harder a'cappella or with the actual music.
Nice stuff here.

you have an awesome voice...
and it's at least 100 times more fascinating because you do all this acapella!!!
unbelievabel...^^

VERY good. Not many people can pull something like this off without music. (I know the word for it, I just can't spell it.)

You'd think that there would be a Sweeney karaoke CD somewhere. :S
This is pretty good here (but yes, it would be noticeably better with music to it :P). Very George Hearn.

Yes, you definitely sound a lot like Mr. Hearn(es? Ha, I've seen his last name spelled like three different ways)!

Hmmm...the part where you're singing about the barber/wife sounds too dull for a scene where he's supposed to be in dream.
great vid, though

Y'know, Depp really can't sing. And I'm embarrassed that I didn't realize that until now.
